They weren't the lowest…read morebid, but the wide variety of shingle choices, colors and coatings were better than everyone else. Most places that came in around their price used the cheapest shingles with a shorter warranty period. That coupled with the conversation I had with Bryan sold me. He was knowledgable and seemed to really care about what he does. The roof looks fantastic. They used high quality materials and what I asked for is what I got. Can't say anything better than that. They were on time every morning (much to the teenager's vexation) and cleaned up every day. My driveway was actually cleaner than when they began. They completed the job on time and dead on the budget. I repeat, ON BUDGET. The quote was what they charged me. And to me, that means a lot. Please keep in mind that this is a family business. If they don't call you back straight away they will get back to you as soon as they can. To the review that commented about another roofing company saying they had a bad reputation... They're the competition, probably not an unbiased opinion. Also... We have a structure covering our front porch that always looked like an afterthought. Like it didn't really belong. It was glass and it was always dirty. It was very close to the roof and was clogged with moss and leaves. Bryan and his crew did an excellent job of moving it up, putting plywood down, painting and roofing it. Now it looks like part of the house and I couldn't be happier.

We were made aware it would be a while before they could get out due to other obligations. We were fine with that. The roof was cleaned November 2024, and they did a good job. Come March 2025 we had a leak. It took quite a while to get them out for a fix. Come holiday time 2025 the leak which had been fixed was back, so we called. The person we spoke to said they weren't sure if someone could come out that day. We waited three weeks while water was coming into our living room every time it rained for a call back. We had to hire another roofing company to fix the leak. They fixed it in three days. We still have to fix the water damage. Then we got a text in January 2026 asking if we still needed to have someone fix our leak....seriously?!

I would strongly caution others before working with Cloudy Bay Construction LLC…read more Paul Dever provided a quote to my parents for setting and installing a tiny home on my property. When I reviewed the estimate, I noticed multiple line items that appeared to duplicate work already completed by other subcontractors. To avoid misunderstandings, my parents requested a conference call so I could ask clarifying questions about the scope of work and pricing. Paul agreed to the call. During that conversation, I asked him to walk through the estimate so I could better understand what was included for the cost being charged. His tone quickly became defensive and dismissive. When I asked whether a plumbing-related line item included additional work beyond what was already installed, he stated parts alone would cost approximately $150. I then asked what work justified the total line item of over $800. Rather than explaining the scope clearly, the conversation became increasingly tense, and he repeatedly implied that asking questions was a problem. I suggested that an in-person discussion at the site might help clear things up. When that meeting occurred, Paul arrived visibly irritated, refused to shake my hand, and was confrontational throughout the discussion. At one point, when I reiterated that we would not be digging down due to a neighboring fence and site stability concerns, he threw his clipboard to the ground, put his hands on his hips, and told me it would be a problem if I continued to "interfere." This was said on my property, regarding work on my property, and was both unprofessional and inappropriate. After the initial conference call, I later discovered that additional paragraphs had been added to the contract referring to an "outside party," without clearly flagging the change to my parents. This was particularly concerning. Asking reasonable questions about scope and pricing should not be met with hostility, intimidation, or threats to walk off a job. Based on our experience, I found Paul's behavior rude, condescending, and troubling--especially when dealing with elderly clients. I would not recommend Cloudy Bay Construction LLC.

Scheduling = A, Initial Communications = A, Estimate & Sales approach = D…read more NOTE: I did NOT get a bid or have work done, so rating/recommendation is only a "maybe". I still think it's important for prospective customers to have upfront expectations. I submitted an online request for a free estimate. The office called and set up the appt. On the day of, Jeremy texted to confirm and then when he was en route. He showed up, I explained and showed him a place where a leak occurred and that's what made us decide to replace. We discussed new architectural asphalt shingles. He was then going to go outside, check on the roof and afterwards into the attic from which he'd work an estimate. He said he could then meet with me or schedule the next day to meet, for an hour or even just 45 minutes. I work M-F and said I did not need a "sales pitch", I have some working/DIY knowledge of projects, materials and bidding. He then suggested next week. I declined saying it's not necessary. He said there's no reason then for him to proceed with doing the work if I wasn't going to meet afterwards. I was quite surprised. I said "okay, I'll pass" and he said 'thank you' and left. I've had two full estimates from two OTHER, reputable Roofing companies last week, no sales push. They went on the roof, walked the perimeter, sat in their cars and sent the estimates to my email and phone. Not sure why Patriot INSISTS on a sales meeting! Disappointed.

Again, Super happy with the results. Recently had another company do some work around our house and found that they damaged our recently replaced gutter. I went to Patriot Roofing and spoke to Kevin to find out how much the repair would be. He said he would have a crew come out and replace the gutter, No Charge! Wow! Didn't expect that and was very grateful. Patriot roofing came through again! Highly recommend!!

We hired Juan about a month ago for a shower remodel. Overall, the work is ok, but definitely not…read moreprofessional quality and left a lot to be desired. The good: -competitively priced, one of the cheaper quotes we received -good quality materials: porcelain tile slabs -frequent communication -finished product seems to be functionally ok, for now -we had a toilet leak during the construction period, Juan reseated the toilet properly and fixed the leak promptly, this was much appreciated. The bad The work was overall sloppy, in many regards. First and foremost, after Juan installed the valve and plumbing, they caused a small leak into our living room below during water testing. This required them to open up the ceiling downstairs, dry it out, and patch up the drywall and repaint (see pictures below). This honestly freaked me out and increased my vigilance throughout the project. During shower door installation, they cracked one of the slabs requiring it to be replaced. This was fine, but the waterproofing patch job looked uneven and thin, but they did come out and re-coat it after I brought this up. The shower door hinges were poorly installed initially. The screws were not countersunk and sticking out; I even confirmed with the shower door manufacturer that this was not correct. We had a lot of back and forth about this; Juan eventually replaced the screws with ones that fit more properly. Wall edge at the end of the shower looks very uneven, and the caulking has cracked and the wall on the tub side even has a hole in it at the transition. On the last day, I asked them to replace the shower arm to raise our showerhead, as it was low; I purchased a gooseneck from Lowe's myself, but Juan initially told me "you can do it yourself" however because they already installed a standard shower arm. He did end up putting it in at the end but it was installed improperly; it was crooked, so I decided to replace it myself afterwards as I was already quite stressed with this project already and this was a simple fix. After taking the shower arm off, I found no teflon tape on the threads, but instead a thin layer of some kind of goo. I'm not a plumber, but teflon tape is generally recommended to seal the threads. I cleaned the threads off and installed the shower arm with properly applied teflon tape with a thin layer of pipe dope. At least the copper elbow in the wall felt solid. Overall, the wet area seems ok, we're not having any leaks (so far), and the shower is functional; however, I felt the project was rushed, communication, while frequent, was poor, and the end product is just sloppy. In the end I was told "I worry too much about everything." I'll post the pictures of the areas of concern and you can judge for yourself. We saved a few thousand dollars, but in hindsight, I wish I hired someone else and saved myself a lot of stress.
