This eatery is underwhelming and overpriced. Their version of a Manhattan, do not recommend. It was more of a whisky coke than a Manhattan. The margarita was just a tequila sunrise. Lots of breakfast items and the food was actually decent but again overpriced. Our server was very nice but did not clear off our table at all. I tried to make a reservation for 7 the day before we visited the restaurant and they told me they only do reservations for four. Said I should expect about a 30 min wait for the group size and time we were wanting to be sat. Got there 30 mins prior to when we wanted to sit and the hostess told me it would be 45-60 mins and that there were several reservations ahead of me including another 7 top and if the reservation came in our table would keep getting bumped. This was VERY annoying. Our table ended up being ready in 30 mins which was nice but the conversation with the hostess to start then seemed ridiculously unnecessary. This was one of our first meals during our trip to Colorado. My son made a reservation via Yelp, and later downloaded their app (you get a complimentary shareable for signing up, also a free entree on your birthday!) which I highly recommend! We were immediately seated upon checking in...and bypassed the groups of people waiting in line. This place is a very popular brunch spot, and for good reason. The food and drinks are amazing! I had their tamale Benedict: an open faced tamale with green chili, chorizo and topped with hollandaise, paprika, and cotija; choice of either a side of hash browns or side salad. The restaurant itself is bright, clean, and conveniently located right off I-25, which makes it an easy stop when you're out and about. Their menu is pretty big, so there's something for everyone. From your classics like a simple eggs, hash browns, toast and choice of protein (3 Egg Breakfast) to lightly fried chicken with award-winning sage sausage gravy (Chicken & Eggs) to a Pancake Flight where you pick any 3: Strawberry Shortcake, Hawaiian (Pineapples and Toasted Coconut), Cinnamon Swirl, and Blueberry Strudel [not in pix]. The Urban Egg on Belleview is now near the top of our short list of favorite places! When my absolute favorite breakfast place closed for a month for renovations, and we had the opportunity to meet someone for a late breakfast, we were back out there looking for fun and delicious places to visit. The Urban Egg is DEFINITELY that place! I've been here occasionally over the past decade, meeting up for breakfast with a caregiver friend and her client, and enjoyed it a lot, but we occasionally had challenges finding parking on the nearby street. Since we've been going here more often, we had the opportunity to discover that there is free 3-hour parking in the parking garage in the same building... wow, that takes all the anxiety out of the parking question. This time we were met by a young and enthusiastic hostess, who took us right to a table. That's not usual, as this popular place often has a wait, and Yelp helps with that, by allowing us to get on the waiting list while we're driving over here. The decor is clean and pleasant, but with so many hard surfaces, you'll find the noise level is entirely dependent on the consideration of each and every diner present. Our server had a great command of the menu, and was quick and accurate with our order, especially the piping hot and delicious coffee to start. Their menu has so many delicious choices... We homed in on our usual custom order of coffee, eggs w/cheddar, crispy bacon, crispy hash browns, and fruit, with a special addition of one Cinnamon Swirl Pancake for me. Place was hopping on a Sunday morning! I'd definitely recommend getting on the waitlist before coming by. There is plenty of seating indoor and out, being dog friendly if sitting outside. Inside is pretty loud if it's nice and full inside the restaurant but that's expected! I ordered a mimosa and gourmet pancake flight for breakfast. The pancakes don't come with anything so you'd have to order sides if you want anything extra. The pancake flights are okay! I had the pineapple one, blueberry one and a cinnamon roll type one. They do get soggy fast so you don't need syrup! Hubby ordered classic eggs Benedict. He said it was not the best he had and that it was super bland and no flavor. His came with hash browns and he thought they were bland as well. For the price ya pay here that's all pretty disappointing to me so I'm not sure we'll be back and may stick to a local greasy spoon diner instead. read more

Every time I travel I love checking out local breakfast places. Today my wife and I checked out this place and it was the BEST breakfast we have ever had by far! We joined the waiting list through yelp (would recommend given the crowds waiting outside) and our table was ready as soon as we arrived. The atmosphere inside was kind of industrial but also warm and rustic. All of the staff were super friendly and very attentive. From a food perspective, I would absolutely recommend the cinnamon roll and billion $$$ bacon bourbon (most amazing bacon I have ever had, packed with flavor and very lean) shareables. The "cure" juice drink was delicious and refreshing, the Hot coffee had a great mild flavor, and the hazelnut cold brew with vanilla foam was heavenly. My wife loved her blue corn huevos rancheros, and our waitress recommended the protein bowl for me and it did not disappoint. My only complaint is that I don't live in Denver and therefore I'm unable to eat here more often. Honestly, if you're in the area, and you love a great breakfast, you must try this place. read more

We did order the pancakes for our little one and the portion was pretty big. Two big pancakes with a side of fruit! Way too much for our teeny baby so we shared it between the two kids. Portions were very large but so delicious! Everything was flavorful. I liked that the hash browns didn't have any seasoning so you can dress it more with how you like it. Perfect for me because I got to share some with my baby who is still learning to eat his solids. The service was very attentive and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our visit and our food. The Urban Egg has been on my list for a while and it did not disappoint! We went here for brunch on a Monday afternoon and did not have to wait. Food and service was great! The corned beef hash was a rockstar, it gets 5 stars from me. The beef was well seasoned, tender and moist. I've been disappointed with all of the corned beef hash I've had here in Colorado but this was the best of them all. That jalapeno chutney was perfect and paired so well with the saltiness of the beef. It made for the perfect bite, especially with the over easy eggs. The blueberry pancakes were a hit! It was fluffy, sweet and was a good finish for our big breakfast. I highly recommend the pancakes here. My gf had the garden bowl and said it was great! It was filled with flavor and add in some hot sauce made for the perfect bite. The bowl was healthy and protein packed.
