I recently visited The Delectable Egg, and unfortunately, the experience was more of a BAD miss than a hit. When I walked in, the hostess told me there would be a wait. However, I noticed there was only one person sitting at the counter and pointed that out, as it didn't seem like there should be one. The explanation was unclear and set a confusing tone right from the start. I was promptly given coffee and a menu, which I appreciated, but it took about 10 minutes before anyone came back to take my order. I was in the mood for corned beef hash, so that's what I ordered. When the food arrived, both the potatoes and eggs were cold. To their credit, they replaced the dish quickly after I mentioned it. The first third of the meal was satisfying, but unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The rest of the dish was not enjoyable, and I ultimately gave up on finishing it. It was a disappointing experience overall, especially combined with the indifferent attitude I encountered from beginning to end. Service was great and mostly attentive at first but after our food arrived it was like we were forgotten. My breakfast croissant was delicious with the sausage patties but the potatoes were not hot and fresh, sadly. My skinny vanilla latte arrived in a glass and got cold rather quickly and was a little bit too sweet. It was surprising to see how empty the restaurant was for lunch. Cute brunch spot! To me, the DTC location doesn't feel like a chain - more like a mom and pops shop. It was cozy and calm. They sat our group of 5 quickly without a reservation. Service was decent. The menu is HUGE with crepes, french toast, skillets, waffles, etc. I appreciated they also had lunch options for some variety. Most in our group ordered meals, but I was thankful to choose a variety of sides to customize exactly what I wanted (1/2 waffle, hash browns, fruit cup). Good spot! read more

Arriving for brunch, the place was already packed. We managed to get a table quickly, however. Our waiter didn't seem like he was having a good day, so service was pretty mediocre. Not my favorite eggs benny. The dish didn't have enough seasoning and was pretty bland. The menu is extensive so there will definitely be something to your liking. read more

Super honest review. I didn't have high hopes for this location. It was an impulsive decision to grab something to eat here. That being said, I asked for my steak medium well. It was still bleeding a bit which I don't like. I sent it back only to try it and it had no flavor to it, even after adding sauce. My fiancée ate a little bit of her food but she wasn't hyped up about it I wasn't in the mood to give hers a try after my encounter. After a while many typical brunch spots end up tasting the same no matter what reviews say and the delectable egg is one of them. It's your typical Sunday morning and everyone is brunch crazy! Bottomless mimosas, omelettes, pancakes are the usual. My friends had the Benedict and it was good, the hollandaise sauce was good but didn't stand out. I had the stacked ranchero breakfast. It was huge and filling and made me happy. The breakfast potatoes were nothing to rave about. It was topped with chorizo, tomatoes, avocado, green Chile and stacked with flour tortillas. The reason it's a 3 out of 5 is that no matter where I go, most typical American style brunch and breakfast places in Colorado end up tasting the same. It's your typical Mexican infused dishes using the same ingredients but in different order. read more

Came here for a little brunch with friends. There was a small wait to get seated but no issue with that. Good sign of a busy location! I had a Delectable Julius drink and I am telling you I could not taste the alcohol in it. Deliciously dangerous! I had the eggs Benedict and my partner had the stuffed French toast. Both were pretty good. I will note that the hollandaise sauce was a bit runny. I've never had one with that thin of a consistency but it was fine. The location itself was clean and cutesy. First time back since pre-COVID. Same fabulous food and superb service/server Luis (he's the *BEST*). We met some friends there and had a blast. We were hoping to see Patrick but sadly we did not. The place was busy as expected, but a really good busy. It was great to see others were happy and sociable at their tables, creating an overall positive and energetic vibe. The Delectable Egg is never a bad option when looking for a diner style brunch spot. The menu is expansive which can be a bit overwhelming. It also usually means the food is solid but not standout since they do a lot of things rather than focusing on making a few things exceptional. This go around I got the breakfast croissant and it was quite greasy. It was also crazy heavy on the pepper and onion and said it came with cheddar cheese but look/tasted more like a Kraft single (which I really don't like)! Hungry and easily found we went to delectable for brunch. We ended up trying a couple cocktails, which were presented nicely. Our server was pleasant and deliberate. The food arrived warm enough, the waffles cooked perfectly though my over medium egg had runny whites so I could not finish them. The bacon was good but obviously sitting for a while in a pan. It was tepid. The side of home fries were good however. My guest enjoyed her tequila sunrise and breakfast too and it was a quiet and light crowd on a Tuesday. Great restaurant we tried when looking for a good breakfast. The staff was friendly, the ambience was relaxed and roomy. The server we had was the most attentive I've ever had at any restaurant. He made sure we were taken care of at all time but never too much and even made sure my spoon was on my napkin when he was taking up my other used dishes. The food was delicious with no complaints. We had to detour to here after another place was packed and the waiting lines were really long. This place was a quick drive from our original destination and the parking size was plentiful. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The staff was friendly and kind. The orange juice was really good. And that was the start of our meal. I ordered the crepes. I'm not sure how I ordered it but my crepe only had the crepe wrap, strawberries, and apples. I ordered potatoes as the side. My crepe was dry because it was lacking the whip cream and the other ingredients one would expect. I would skip the crepe order unless you want to watch your calories. Everyone else at my table ordered the eggs and the waffle. Those look really good and I had a taste of them and they definitely tasted better than my order. No waiting for a table. We got here around 9:30 & surprisingly didn't have to wait for 2 adults + 1 kid. It was definitely busy, but not so much that we had to wait. (Which is a pet peeve for me). The atmosphere was bustling, positive, contemporary. One suggestion: crank up some tunes to drown out the chatter. Their cocktail menu is priced fairly for this area & for the huge portions of food, the food is most definitely comparably priced to other brunch spots in the area. I got 4 biscuits n gravy with scrambled eggs & homestyle taters for $12! Way too much to eat. The kids menu is the cheapest I've seen at a brunch spot in this area. Service was good. Food was good. 20 TO 30 MINUTES WAIT on Sunday sure is normal. After we were seated we got to order right away. Drinks came fast but no silverware. Then comes the WAITING.......................... We order waffle, French toast and Corn Beef Hash. 30 minutes passed we got out silverware. few minutes later got the 2 meal then a few minutes later got my Corn beef. If your KITCHEN CAN"T COOK FOOD why are you keep sitting people?? All the tables that was seated around us was waiting for the same time frame. All the waitress pretty much form a line by the kitchen waiting for food to come out. Looks like maybe the manager was in the kitchen working too because there was no one walking around making sure how the customer are doing. We were so hungry by the time the food came out we pretty much eat most of it. The egg was good but that was it. My hash brown was burned as you can see in my pictures and so are part of my Corn beef. I still can taste the BURN in my mouth after an hour of eating the food. The only thing that was good from this HORRIBLE BRUNCH was the service. She was very nice. After this EXPERIENCE we will not be back. read more

My family has a busy week so we like to do breakfast on the weekends with our toddler. We go lots of places but after having such a great experience last week with Louise as our waiter, we have come back 3 more times! The pricing is very affordable, the portions are huge, and food is quality and delicious. Louis was so fast, attentive, and caring of our impatient toddler. He got our sons meal out minutes before ours without being asked so that he didn't get fussy, he kept us refilled, offered to-go drinks, noticed my husband was military without us asking, makes conversation without interrupting the meal flow, and was just an all around exceptional server. We are back mostly due to him making our experience so enjoyable. He even offered to add us to the rewards program after he noticed we came back to weekends in a row! I love the crepe Lorraine, my husband loves the burrito and the biscuits and gravy. I tried the strawberry crepes with a side scrambled egg last time and it was so filling! And the kids meal is a great size for the price. We will be regulars here, go and ask for Louise! read more

We were there on Sunday at lunch time. It was incredibly loud. My French toast arrived mostly overcooked and hard in most places while undercooked in the middle. I was left wondering if they were using stale bread. I wanted plain French toast but their "plain" came with apples in a gooey sauce. But what really upset us was the noise level. There was no way we could talk to one another and there were just two of us. The noise level got louder and softer but was never conducive to a conversation. All their surfaces are hard so the noise just bounced around the room. We won't be back. read more
