Their rep came out. He was courteous and although a little jittery, knew what he was doing (hence the 2 stars/the job *did* get done). However I ended up paying $90 extra for - I'm not sure what? ..He said he didn't have a long enough cord to connect behind the wall, but my outlets aren't that far away? They're literally on the same wall - how long is the cord they bring? 3 feet? And then they charge extra for the service that I already chose/paid for. A plate is like $2. Another vent - I was home alone and there was no way this one guy could lift a TV and mount/dismount it. I had to use all of my *one* muscle and hold it while he worked on the wall. I literally broke a sweat. I mean... what if I had been clumsy and dropped it? What if I was pregnant and couldn't risk it? Shouldn't they send 2 guys out? Otherwise why not pay ME a portion of that job? I tried to email and get the $90 portion refunded, but nope. That's bad customer service. So: I do NOT recommend paying $450+ to get a TV mounted from Hello Tech.

When I asked for their next available appointment they offered the next morning at 8am!! This was great; we took it! Randy asked for a photo of the location that the gazebo was to be installed, our address and which method of payment we would like to use. They showed up for the job early and worked until it was done. My mother-in-law mentioned that they were patient and careful to get everything right. This opened up a new idea for me. The looking and the new 5.1.2 makes the experience at a completely new level. Also, the charged hours were less than I expect because he is so fast. That alone was concerning, but it got worse from there. They only did work in one room, which they stopped painting the ceiling a foot away from the wall and it is very noticeable. We were then told the complete job would be delayed, and it ended up being put off for two weeks. During that time, we had already moved all of our furniture out of the space, expecting the work to be done--so we were left living in an empty living room for no reason. On the day they were finally supposed to come back and complete the job, which I had planned to show them the poor painting finish, they didn't call to discuss, they just emailed us and said they believed the cracking might be due to a structural issue and that they were no longer comfortable doing the work. At that point, we were back to square one after weeks of inconvenience, with no solution and no accountability. The lack of follow-through, poor communication, and last-minute cancellation made this a very disappointing experience.

Based on this experience we just had him come out and fix cracks in our vaulted ceilings and skim coat over the lower 3.5' of drywall in our dining and living room where wainscoting was. This is a large job and he spent the first day masking the room off and putting up zipper doors to keep dust contained. Took 6 days to complete the job and we couldn't be happier with the end result. He could've taken some shortcuts to speed it up and make more $, but instead was incredibly detail oriented and did everything properly. I'm a perfectionist to say the least, and have had multiple contractors come back to fix workmanship issues in the past. Mark truly is an old school craftsman, at a time when most contractors simply don't take pride in their work product. Additionally, he was incredibly professional, kept me updated on the status, and I felt very comfortable with him in our home all day with my family.
