Makes me feel at peace when I find these types of stores and the people who inhabit them. Immediate connections made and a sense of hope of the environment is shared. Earth Magick is the place to come when in need of homemade candles and incense, locally made ghee and chocolate, freshly picked herbs and burning bundles, fresh concoctions of oils and tinctures, handcrafted jewelry and clothing and even gemstones and crystals. I was really excited to visit Earth Magick after reading all of the wonderful reviews on Yelp that raved about the great energy of the space and the selection and quality of products available. Unfortunately, my experience during my visit wasn't in line with that of others. The only energy I got from both the space and the employees working was an air of elitism. The space looked quite a bit different than some of pictures posted on Yelp, and I'm wondering if they recently made some changes to adapt more of a "minimalist" esthetic. I understand that this particular esthetic is preferable to many, and I'm sure Earth Magick will have no trouble finding customers visiting Asheville who adore and appreciate it. It just simply wasn't a fit for me and my preference for a warmer, more eclectic energy from spiritual shops. read more

There are plenty of places to sit and relax with a book or magazine throughout the boutique; if you choose to have your cards read, simply make a reservation with one of the super nice employees. If there are a few people on the list, you may end up having to wait a little bit but you could always put your name in and do a little shopping downtown and come back. I love coming to Asheville, NC from vacation and every time I visit..I make it a point to visit Earth Magick. Amazing vibes and welcome staff ALWAYS, no matter the day. They always deliver beautiful energy. They offer tarot readings in the back of the store in a cozy and cool corner. I absolutely love the white snake who lives in the store. (For people afraid of snakes, no worries..it's in a tank but he's so sweet) I love coming to Earth Magick because they offer so many amazing items from crystals, to tarot/oracle cards, to jewelry, to skin care items, to bolines, books, and sage. It does not feel like a commercialized metaphysical store that most have turned into. You can tell that these items were made with love and intention and not mass produced. The decor is boutique like but better and it's not over crowded with decor. It feels very clean and modern. I totally recommend this store time and time again, do not visit Asheville without visiting this beautiful establishment! read more

This is a great shop in downtown Asheville with gifts ranging from jewelry, dream catchers, dream catchers, tarot cards, gemstones, hand-carved cow skulls, and much, much more. Earth Magick is located on Lexington avenue in the heart of downtown Asheville. The staff here is super friendly and are always happy to answer any questions you might have about their goods. I've always had such a great time coming in here and usually end up having a thoughtful conversation with an employee at the store. One thing I really appreciate about Earth Magick is that not only are they a store, but they also host different events and have guests there sometimes doing things such as tarot card readings, henna, astrological readings and a meet & greet with their python! They have a beautiful selection of jewelry. I found one of my favorite pair of earrings here. They are gorgeous blue and purple earrings and are made with fox bones. They have a great selection of tarot cards, books and some gorgeous crystals and gemstones. One of the coolest things that they carry here are handmade wands, They are each unique and have a crystal on the top. I absolutely love these and would like to buy one for all of my friends as well. This use to be one of my favorite spots to go in Asheville. During my last visit into town, I thought it would be nice to show my daughter. The old lady working the counter was more concerned about her gold chocolates being touched on the check out shelf than anything else in the store. She was so incredibly rude to my 10 year old daughter and I. My daughter was almost in tears. How dare her talk down to someone like that with her old self sitting in the chair behind the counter. I drive in from Atlanta and have recommended so many here. I've now also told them to get their readings elsewhere. And their stones and incense ropes. I will never step foot in this store again or recommend anyone. For a store that promotes what it does, our experience wasn't that in the least. Her poor soul is empty and cold. read more

I'm not big on crystals, tarot card reading and such HOWEVER the energy in this store is magnetic!! I was attracted to so many different crystals and aromas. They have a Tarot Card reader in the back and the staff is not small providing you tons of information if you aren't sure. read more

This shop is a fabulous addition to Asheville and sells items that are related to the earth, arts and stones. They sell essential oils, magic wands, jewelry, crystals, books, books, dream catchers and other beautiful pieces of art. I fell in love with Bali handmade wall hangings and had to purchase the OM. They are also offering tarot readings, reiki, massage, beading and other classes. The staff person was charming, and he shared that the owner is an interior designer, which helps explain why just walking inside feels so peaceful and tranquil! This place was beautiful!! When you walk in, it's smells amazing and smells just like sage!! The music reminds me of my yoga classes. The crystals were reasonably priced and I got lots of crystals and tumbles. I highly recommend going here when you visit!!! I came by 3 times and just enjoyed walking around in the store. I strolled in here after passing by on the sidewalk. It must have been the rocks in the window that caught my eye, as for some reason, I really love rocks :) I gravitate towards things natural, earth-made, simple, solid. This unique shop falls in line perfectly with my interests. Well I must admit, the little spell wands may veer outside of my interests. But aside from things like that, I was like a kid in a candy shop!! So many kinds of rocks with explanations for how the type of rock effects your being (like jade for protection and amazonite for peace and harmony) polished and perfectly sized for carrying around if you wish. I oggled some beautiful jewelry made with simple supplies. Small fossilized items (like petrified wood) and sea life (like abalone shells and polished crustacean shells). There are also self healing/peaceful living books and little metal medallions. I bought a feminine one as a reminder charm that I'm awesome :) Hanging air plants also caucht my eye. Basically, this is a super unique shop with mostly, if not all, items sold being of natural origin and proponents for relaxed peaceful living. We stumbled upon this place on our way to another store. My 13year old daughter has gotten into crystals and oils and such. She was thrilled to see this store. So we went in and was blown away. They had tons of different things to offer and the look of the store was very cool. I loved the crystals and stones for you to pick from and there was a little plaque that says what they were for. They had a variety of Tarot Cards and mystical books, which my daughter grabbed. They also had herbal teas, oil blends, and herbal health and beauty products. What really thrilled my daughter was there was a lady there giving Tarot card readings. The only thing I didn't like was a told the cashier we were new to crystals and stones and asking questions but she didn't seem really interested in assisting or educating us. She gave us very quick and basic advice. So afterwards I contacted a friend of mine that knows this stuff but it would have been nice to know it before we bought a bunch of crystals and stones. read more

The store has beautiful energy that you can feel the moment you walk in and the selection of items available really lives up to the name, Earth Magick. You will find many one of a kind treasures reflecting different gifts of the natural world ~ from crystal and wood, to feathers and bone, natural metals representing the eastern traditions and cultures - books, tarot, essential oils and tinctures - all like nothing you will find anywhere else. You can tell so much care is taken in the items brought in for purchase from different parts of the world and also representing many local artists. The other day I walked through the store, slowly feeling and tuning into the many exquisite items - I eventually ended up with 2 items that just happened to be $22 each. This felt like a real confirmation of my choices since 22 is my spiritual number that oversees my path in life. When I shared this with the staff, I was told that the store uses numerology in placement and pricing. CLEARLY that works! I cannot recommend Earth Magick enough - the staff is great, the music and ambiance - so warm and inviting - they even have a pet boa named Sutra that loves to meet and greet people. This is my all time favorite Crystal shop. I seriously go there at least once a month, and every time I visit there are new beautiful things! The girls who work there are so sweet and helpful and the environment is just lovely...I always feel like I could stay for hours.
