I stopped in Element Tree Essentials on my visit to Asheville in July 2021. I had seen some of their items in Woolworth Walk, and I love skincare and junk but I didn't actually plan to visit until I realized that the store is essentially around the corner from Woolworth, maybe a block or two away. I got here just a few minutes before close--maybe 5 or so minutes, and the shopkeeper had already locked up for the day but when they saw me trying the door she came over to let me in. I really appreciate her doing that, though my bank account may not agree with me on that point. The store is really soothing and obviously when I was in it was quiet. I bought several of the lotion candles in a few different sizes and scents. I'm really excited to give these out to family and friends as a unique gift. The scents were nice but none of them were overwhelming--sometimes when you go into a shop that sells candles or other scented items it can get a bit overwhelming. I think I kept the employee over by a few minutes, but she was really gracious about it and didn't rush me to get out. Everything was carefully wrapped and because of what I had purchased, I also got to select three lip balms for free. Element Tree is worth a stop when you find yourself in Asheville.

Element Tree Essentials is my go-to spot In Asheville to grab up my favorite candles & room spray! There are numerous options; a men's section, lotion candles, crystals, incense, etc. to choose from. I love the scent, Downtown Asheville. My favorite room spray is Juniper Berry & Cedar. You must come and check this place out! They also have products at the Marquee in the River Arts District. read more

Smells so good! Each candle smelled amazing and it was hard to pick, so I bought 3! This is now my go-to store for ordering gifts. Loved the decor and organization of the candles. Made it easy to shop by scent. Bought a car freshener too; such a cute design. read more

Very cool, cozy little shop with all the spiritual items one would want. Super cool they do tarot readings. The lotion candles are such a fun idea. The woman working the counter was very friendly and helpful and I really recommend stopping in and taking it all in. read more

I stopped in here on a whim while on a recent trip to Asheville, and I am so glad I did! I was greeted by a lovely, helpful girl who introduced me to a few products. She was patient as I meandered through the store, and was a gem to interact with. (Major plus, she and the other associate in the store were wearing their masks correctly and responsibly. Hand sanitizer was placed throughout the store). I bought a Moroccan Sea Salt lotion candle, and my only regret is that I didn't buy a dozen more. Holy cannoli, this candle smells like a dream, AND I GET TO WEAR THE MELTED WAX AS LOTION. Such a great, novel concept. I was so excited to discover that there is an online store! I will certainly be placing many orders for myself and others. The store itself is beautiful and soothing. 10/10, would recommend. read more

OMG! They had a lotion candle out front to test and that's all it took to get me inside! The candle/lotion smelled so good and went into my skin so silky-like. I ended up buying candles for Christmas gifts and for me too, of course :) I'll definitely let be ordering more online since I live out of state. read more

Walked into the store with my husband and immediately behind me was a Caucasian couple walked in behind us. The young woman dressed in all black bypassed us, actually walked around us and asked them " Have you shopped with us before". There was no way she didn't see us, I was admiring the terrarium. It is a shame that in this day and age, racism is alive and well. As someone who was born and raised in Miami, we are simply not accustomed to this sort of exclusionary behavior. If you are a person of color or a person of any other race/ethnic group other than white, I would proceed with caution. We pray that this is an isolated incident, and not the company's outlook as a whole. Our time here in Asheville has been amazing and it was sad to have experienced this moment of societal retreat this morning. -BJ read more

My husband and I stopped in while on vacation in Asheville. What a beautiful store! The lotion candles are so unique and they have a great variety of fragrances to choose from. Established in 2011.

Owner Kasey Jackson has always been inspired by the local art and original crafts Asheville has to offer. Her natural love for candles and aroma inspired her to make her own at home. In 2011, she launched her business right from her own kitchen. People loved her candles so much that she opened her first booth in the Grove Arcade shortly thereafter. Over the years, Kasey's company has grown significantly and she is proud to be selling Element Tree Essentials products in the finest retail establishments across the country. Kasey still enjoys working at the main Asheville location, and visiting her other studios in Chattanooga, Savannah and Black Mountain. She loves traveling to festivals and shows, meeting new people and friends, and educating the community about the healing elements of her candles.

My only complaint is that the nail technicians work space was super dirty. It had dust particles all over it which was making my hands itchy. It just felt dirty. Next time, if this happens, I'll be sure to speak up and ask her to wipe the space first. I was pleased with my $30 bill, which after a tip was $36. That's almost $10 less than I was paying at my former nail salon.

I was told that someone would contact me regarding my complaint, but I was left waiting without any meaningful response. When my calls were not being returned, I called again for a third time and at that time was told that Donna is the owner of the business and would never do such a thing. My initial complaint was regarding my haircut. I have fine hair, and throughout my appointment the stylist described what she was doing as adding "movement" to my hair. At no point did I understand that significant debulking was being done. That is not something I would have requested. The result is that my hair feels much thinner than before, and I have not been able to find a way to style it that I feel good about. Another concern is that my hair was not blow-dried at the end of the service. It wasn't until I went home, washed it myself, and blow-dried it that I was able to fully see the haircut and notice the issues I have with it. Looking at it styled properly only made me more upset with the final result. Now this situation is much larger and I am still hoping for a full refund for the service.

There's a whole little strip mall area I had no idea existed. A hidden gem! Regina answered my call and she owns the business and does nails. She gave me a wonderful pedicure and gel manicure and was a joy to chat with. She said she's owned the business in that location for 28 years. There is a massage therapist, facial esthetician, two nail technicians including Regina and she rents out space for three hairdressers. It was $70 total for a gel manicure and pedi. It was a Sunday so the salon overall was quiet and it was really just Regina and me the full time in the nail area. PS. Her dog Bella is so cute and greeted me upon arrival.
