    Colorado Asphalt Sealcoating

    Colorado Asphalt Sealcoating

Do Not let these Hucksters come within a country mile of your asphalt driveway!…read more They have no right calling themselves an Asphalt Company. (This is a must read.) When the Colorado Asphalt Sealcoating estimator came to my house, he sold me on everything he was doing and made me feel like I had nothing to be concerned about. After the tear-out they showed up with cold, low grade asphalt. This asphalt is sub grade. It was like the batch plant was giving it away. While they were working by the garage door, they busted a brick on the house and came up with an excuse that it was the brick's fault. Next, they splashed tar all over the front of the garage door. Next, they left a rise in the grade of the asphalt in front of the garage door so water will never egress out of the garage. They also damaged the pine tree by the driveway with their equipment. I asked my brother,"Do not pay them till I get back and inspect their work." When they finished the job by their standards that day, one of the employees was badgering my brother to pay him or else(!). Like there was some undertone to his statements. I got back to the house well after they left with the check in hand, (Paid In Full,) I surveyed the work they did and it was reprehensible. I knew right off the bat, the driveway had to be entirely torn out. I called management and asked them to come out and look at the project. Finally, this guy and woman came out to inspect it. While both were getting out of their truck, you could see the look on their faces that they both knew it was a dumpster fire. They then said," we can just cut that out a couple of feet and start over." I literally felt my blood pressure jump. The grade was so bad they would have to take out more than half the driveway. Even after that, the driveway cosmetics would look like crap! This guy knew he and his crew Screwed Up Royally. I knew there was nothing I could do. These morons didn't care, they were full of excuses and the fixes they proposed were in vein. Then they sent me a check that was peanuts like $300.00 and change that would cover nothing! Wrote a two page letter saying nothing. Like I'm going to let these hooligans back on my land. I can truly say based on all my years working in the aggregate business this motley crew should be ashamed of themselves.

This is the first review on a service company that I have ever posted. This company started out to…read moregood in response. The work was not very good, I was trying to be reasonable as I do with all of my contractors. There were many flaws in a very large driveway that I feel could have been rectified. The company came out and did a very poor job of fixing the areas after I paid many thousands of dollars for what should have been a professional job. Now my driveway which I pointed out is falling apart. I also called to discuss and the owner Rick Eberts wife yelled at me and hung up. So nothing was fixed after all I paid. I will be reporting this company to the BBB. This is not a reputable company. There are many others that you can use. If you need more and pictures I will be happy to provide. Dave

Just pick a different provider if you want to have a good experience…read more Spring of 2023 and a long stretch of very rainy weather predicted. Good project planners would have postponed, but Liftech took down a section of fence (creating a hazard for our dogs), parked a backhoe in our yard, and damaged our neighbors property in the process. Then it was too wet to work - so this mess sat there for weeks. Once work started, it must have been the practice session for the guy on the backhoe - they ended up damaging our seamless steel siding, requiring replacement of a large section of siding, which caused a delay in project completion. Replacing a basement window with an egress window should've been easy - but the crew tossed the removed window onto our rock landscaping, leaving another hazard for visitors with small children, us, and our dogs.. Despite our patience with them while their heavy equipment was parked on our yard, Liftech was unwilling to wait until our siding repairs were complete for final payment. We explained repeatedly that we were waiting for final invoicing from the siding contractor (by now we were not confident they would reimburse for excess expense for repairs) - but Liftech filed a lien against our house instead of having an adult conversation. Then last fall while doing yard cleanup, we realized that they had left a gap between the foundation wall and base plate of our home - full sized leaves were blowing into our basement. Their response: Not our responsibility - go to Home Depot and fix it yourself. Gee, it seems like after paying them this much money they could've restored the house to a safe, sealed condition. Save yourself some heartache and hire someone else.
