I'm giving this place three stars because they recently increased their self washing fee by almost 100%. That's a huge increase. It went from $20 to $35. According to the one of workers, they increased the price because they have to spend time cleaning the self wash area. That's part of their business and customers should not have to pay extra because they need someone to clean it. read more

If you want the best for your pets you definitely want to come here to EarthWise pet. The awesome owner Megan is a certified pet nutritionist. We brought our new fur baby Naomi aka Nay Nay here and now this establishment has the Nay Nay seal of approval lol. We were looking for the best nutrition for our precious Nay Nay. We walked away with some delicious food for Nay Nay after getting a good education on the food that they sell there. Yes there is a pet store on every corner selling a truck load of dog and cat food that we don't have a clue of what is in those bags. Guess what Megan knows what is best for your pet trust me. I was so lucky that Earthwise, Potter Road, Matthews opened just before my 13 year old Sammy stopped eating. He had been diagnosed with cancer in November 2022 but had not shown any symptoms so I had even been questioning the diagnosis. Then out of the blue in April 2024 he stopped eating. I was frantic because food and supplements had been his medicine. I had only met Megan and Ben once when I rushed in and said I needed help to figure out something that Sammy would eat. Both of my dogs had eaten Primal or Stella & Chewy's Raw food from day one (added Honest Kitchen, Weruva chicken pumpkin, cooked veggies, eggs, supplements, etc). Now he would only drink water. I tried some different wet foods with Megan's suggestions and mashed them up with bone broth to make a liquid until I found his preferences. On 2 occasions they stayed open late when I realized at the last minute I had run out of something. They have such a good selection of supplements and treats without sugar which are hard to find. Sammy seemed to be getting better but was still losing weight. I made an appointment with Dr Lavergne a certified home euthanasia vet, (who I recommend along with Earthwise and Pet Passages) to evaluate both dogs (Baron age 15 had degenerative myelopathy like many German Shepherds but still walking and eating more than ever, yet he seemed confused at times and anxious.They were BFF and I think Sammy's condition affected him). Those months are a fog to me but I got through it somehow and Megan's support never wavered. They sent me a very touching condolence card afterwards and I will be forever grateful for their knowledge and kindness. read more

Our store was founded with one goal in mind: that pets are family. The Charlotte-Metro area has been home to us for over a combined 15+ years. Our family is from here, with some of our parents having met here locally at Discovery Place. Meet the Business Owner: Megan C.

Megan graduated from Winthrop University in 2019 Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management. Since then, Megan has had the opportunity to showcase her talents in marketing roles, sales roles, and most recently a role within a local, long-standing veterinary hospital. As a Certified Pet Dietitian, Megan has completed over 300 hours of nutrition training under the direction of top veterinarians and nutrition specialists in Canada and the United States. She looks to provide not only an unmatched experience for all clients and their parents, but also the tools, knowledge, and guidance to promote a healthy lifestyle for your pet. Megan's all-star team of local groomers look to provide a high-quality, luxurious experience for all. Her team has worked and trained in some of the top grooming salons in the Charlotte area, and have also undergone schooling through the Paragon School of Pet Grooming. When not at work, Megan spends her time with her husband and three dogs.

She is just a rude and unpleasant person. There are other reviews of dogs being cut and her acting defensive and dismissive. Avoid at all costs!!. There are plenty of other groomers that won't slice your dog up and then blame you.

The young owner presumingly in the black shirt was very disrespectful and rude, refusing to sell us any further fish (more or less banning us from his store) if he gave us this refund because we opted to return a fish that died that was in the 2 day window of the guarantee. He had no issue telling this to our face in front of his employees. A different fish that died that we returned was not the same fish and we were not provided the same results that were given to us before. As we explained to the original person helping, they are 2 separate beings/cases and not a "double warranty" issue as there is no such thing when they aren't the same fish. We would not have traveled 1.5 hours one way to return a fish that died if we were going to be banned from the store by exercising our right as a customer. A customer shouldn't have to concern themselves if they are going to be banned from buying fish at Nemo's Reef because they returned a dead fish. The lack of understanding and appreciation of our business was highly evident. We have bought more fish then we ever returned and to be treated this way as if we did something wrong, was how we were thanked for our business of spending close to $1,000 cumulatively over the last few weeks. I've never had a owner or a manager of a business made me and my family feel like we were unworthy of buying anything in his store when we had fully attended to buy more fish and spend more money, not only within this same store trip but in the following week. As anyone knows who has salt water aquariums in their homes or businesses, this is not a inexpensive hobby. The person in charge should treat customers with more empathy and respect, instead of acting like he's upset he had to speak with us at all.

We are first-time customers of Queen City Corals and decided to purchase two Black Light Anemones…read moreon 02/03/2025. My order was shipped on 02/04/2025 (Order #89196) and delivered on 02/05/2025 at 10:20 AM. Given the many five-star reviews, I had high expectations. Their website claims a 99% Live Arrival Guarantee, that staff are trained to the highest standard of corals, and that each coral is securely triple-bagged and encapsulated in specific specimen containers to ensure live arrival. Unfortunately, these so-called commitments proved to be untrue. Upon opening my package, I was immediately hit with a foul odor coming from each bag. The anemones displayed clear signs of distress, including open mouths, faded coloration, shrunken and deflated tentacles, a lack of response to stimuli, and visible tears on their bodies. The only positive aspect of my order was the mystery frags--a Birdsnest and a Neon Green Acropora--but even those were underwhelming. I immediately contacted Queen City Corals' support team, but their response time was slow. When I called and spoke with the manager, I was assured that the anemones "just look pissed" but would recover after acclimation. Despite following the acclimation process exactly as instructed, the anemones began to deteriorate and melt in my tank. I attached images as evidence. To prevent further damage to my reef tank's water quality, I removed the anemones and reached out to Queen City Corals again, seeking guidance on how they would rectify the situation. After receiving no response, I followed up the next day. When I called, a representative assured me that the manager would return my call. Hours passed with no response. Frustrated by the lack of communication, I called again and was once more told the manager would "look into it." After much back and forth, they finally issued a refund for the Black Light Anemones but refused to refund the shipping cost--even though the corals were dead on arrival. While I understand that shipping costs are a shared loss, this situation clearly warranted a full refund for the entire order. Although a partial refund is better than nothing, the entire experience highlighted Queen City Corals' lack of communication, poor product quality, and false advertising. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere, such as Aqua SD or World Wide Corals, for better quality and service.

I cannot thank the team at Earthwise Pet, Matthews location enough. Especially both Ben and Megan. First off, they are my saving grace with my babies (my dogs). I found them through my dog trainer and we talked all about raw food diet. After meeting with Ben for a consultation, I instantly changed my dogs foods. Ben recommended books, and man was he spot on with everything he has told me about. My 9 year old, lost her bloat and aggressiveness. My puppy was not maintaining weight and also had what it looked like to be Ivy. Luckily, Ben and Megan led me in the right direction of a holistic allergy test. As soon as we got the results back, they met with me and set up a plan for both my dogs. Any issues I've ever had or questions for that manner, they have the answer, they are probably the only people I will ever trust with my babies. Now, onto their wonderful groom bar, both of my babies go to them. My one, she has never been able to get her nails clipped, she is able to with their time and patience! We love Earthwise! Our golden was having digestive issues and Earthwise was recommended to us because they are so knowledgeable about dog nutrition. We started feeding raw and have never looked back!
