It's such a relief knowing he's in a place where he's not only safe but having a great time too. At first, I wasn't sure what to think given the sort of nondescript building and area it sits on but, I needed a place for my girls to stay for 9 days while we went away on vacation and decided to give them a try. I had seen a few negative reviews but, the majority were positive so, one shot is what I figured they deserved. Typically, when my girls come home from a long kennel stay, they look miserable. They typically look like they haven't eaten much and I swear they look at me like I'm a horrible fur mom for leaving them wherever they went. That was totally not the case here. In fact, when the door was opened to let them into the lobby where my son and I were standing to pick them up, they ran to the two employees in the room instead. Not only did they look happy and healthy but, they smelled great (no I didn't request a bath) and all of their bedding had been washed! It was obvious they had eaten well and were happy. When we got home, rather than immediately crashing, they even played a bit and stayed awake for a good bit of time. I will definitely be using Hounds Town in the future for not only kennel needs, but for daycare this summer!

Weeks prior I had to find a good facility to board our dog....Who did not mind answering my questions. We were only staying 2 to 3 days....Looking at this fine facilities yelp reviews...well let's just say I'm happy the reviews were right on point....when their reviews are honest they can be helpful... The facility was very clean...the owner was very helpful when it came to answering all of our questions and addressing all of our concerns. We even got a video which was wonderful. The price was fair. We even had to leave a day early. She was very gracious and very accommodating. Our Pets treatment was that of a loving atmosphere. We will definitely use Unleashed again.

This woman has no business in customer service. I come in regularly for my pets, and she's consistently rude, condescending, and disrespectful. She interrupts, rolls her eyes, and acts like helping you is a burden. Today, I finally called her out on her attitude, and instead of apologizing, she argued with me. No remorse. No professionalism. Just pure defensiveness. Did she know I recorded the ENTIRE interaction for her manager? Probably not lol--but I'm tired of her gaslighting. This won't be a "he said, she said." She even claimed I had an issue with her--as if I'm the problem. I've read the reviews. I'm not the only one complaining about her. It's clear she hates her job, and frankly, she shouldn't have it. I don't have a problem with the other front desk staff--it's always her. To top it off, when I was in the middle of putting my dog down, she barged in to ask if I wanted to buy prescription food for my cat. Seriously? When we didn't buy it that moment, we overheard her talking to the staff in the back and saying, "I'm never preordering food for them again." That's not just rude--it's disgusting. She clearly doesn't even know how to use the software, constantly messes up client information, and I always hear her arguing with other customers. She even lied, saying my mother wanted her phone number back on my account--after I asked them to call me not her. This is funny, considering my mom switched vets BECAUSE of Paula. What's worst of all? She never once tried to apologize or fix it. I walked out saying, "Thanks for the apology"--because that's the only one I was going to get. You'd think with all the complaints geared towards her, management would take some sort of action. But hopefully now that I actually have the conversation, they can see for themselves what it's like to be a customer here. It's not pleasant. I'm not sharing this out of spite--I just want management to understand what it's like to deal with her from a client's perspective.

My experience with Camp Bow Wow Matthews was unacceptable, resulting in injury to my 10-month-old puppy and a complete failure of service on a follow-up visit. Incident 1: Unauthorized Procedure Resulting in Injury On his first visit, my 10-month-old puppy was subjected to an unauthorized nail trim that I did not request or approve. When I picked him up, his toenails had been cut down below the quick on multiple toes and were bleeding profusely. This indicates a severe lack of care and training, compounded by performing a painful procedure without owner consent. I complained to the staff immediately about the pain and distress this caused my puppy. Incident 2: Mismanagement of Play and Unapproved Confinement Despite the initial injury, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and brought him back. I picked him up to find he had been isolated and crated for the final three hours of the day. The staff claimed this was because he was "targeting a puppy." I reviewed the video footage they provided and confirmed that the behavior they labeled as "targeting" was clearly rough, energetic play--not aggression. For a professional daycare facility, misinterpreting normal puppy play and confining him for three hours instead of actively managing the group or separating him into a smaller, supervised area shows a complete lack of necessary skill and accountability. The combination of causing a preventable, unauthorized injury and then failing to provide the core service (socialization and supervised play) demonstrates a serious lack of professional care and judgment. I requested a full refund for both failed services. I strongly advise other pet owners to find a different facility that prioritizes the safety, accurate behavior assessment, and well-being of your dog.

The process is typical for Camp Bow Wow of requiring new-camper interview prior to board/day camp. The interview process requires the pawrent to stay at the facility approx. 30 minutes while your pups' temperament/socialization skills are evaluated. If given the green light, pup is required to stay for a few hours of play. Staff is very helpful and caring towards the pups. They are also very efficient with the check-in/out processes. The facility seems clean and well -organized. There is an adjacent parking lot. Reservations and sharing records is now very easy via the Camp Bow Wow app, which also allows you to view your pups while they are in the playrooms and establish reservations with any of the camp Bow Wow locations. This location is quite a drive for me, but I have yet to find any other place who I trust to care for my precious pups when I have to be away for several days!

Also, I have high expectations about communication and doing what is promised, when it's promised. Kasey and Luke have not only met our expectations, but exceeded them. In addition to the daily updates and pictures (that I typically had to apologetically ask for with other providers), they warned us about items that needed fixing and even a chicken who was getting 'overloved' by a rooster! We are so excited to have met them when they visited our farm as guests and volunteers. We can leave our home for the first time in years with a feeling of security that our babies are safe and loved. THANK YOU!

The young owner presumingly in the black shirt was very disrespectful and rude, refusing to sell us any further fish (more or less banning us from his store) if he gave us this refund because we opted to return a fish that died that was in the 2 day window of the guarantee. He had no issue telling this to our face in front of his employees. A different fish that died that we returned was not the same fish and we were not provided the same results that were given to us before. As we explained to the original person helping, they are 2 separate beings/cases and not a "double warranty" issue as there is no such thing when they aren't the same fish. We would not have traveled 1.5 hours one way to return a fish that died if we were going to be banned from the store by exercising our right as a customer. A customer shouldn't have to concern themselves if they are going to be banned from buying fish at Nemo's Reef because they returned a dead fish. The lack of understanding and appreciation of our business was highly evident. We have bought more fish then we ever returned and to be treated this way as if we did something wrong, was how we were thanked for our business of spending close to $1,000 cumulatively over the last few weeks. I've never had a owner or a manager of a business made me and my family feel like we were unworthy of buying anything in his store when we had fully attended to buy more fish and spend more money, not only within this same store trip but in the following week. As anyone knows who has salt water aquariums in their homes or businesses, this is not a inexpensive hobby. The person in charge should treat customers with more empathy and respect, instead of acting like he's upset he had to speak with us at all.

Being able to travel and know that my fur babies are in great hands is priceless. When I come home, the pups are happy to see me, but they are also calm and not starving for attention because they have been so lovingly care for. I can't recommend Love and Kisses enough!

My order was shipped on 02/04/2025 (Order #89196) and delivered on 02/05/2025 at 10:20 AM. Given the many five-star reviews, I had high expectations. Their website claims a 99% Live Arrival Guarantee, that staff are trained to the highest standard of corals, and that each coral is securely triple-bagged and encapsulated in specific specimen containers to ensure live arrival. Unfortunately, these so-called commitments proved to be untrue. Upon opening my package, I was immediately hit with a foul odor coming from each bag. The anemones displayed clear signs of distress, including open mouths, faded coloration, shrunken and deflated tentacles, a lack of response to stimuli, and visible tears on their bodies. The only positive aspect of my order was the mystery frags--a Birdsnest and a Neon Green Acropora--but even those were underwhelming. I immediately contacted Queen City Corals' support team, but their response time was slow. When I called and spoke with the manager, I was assured that the anemones "just look pissed" but would recover after acclimation. Despite following the acclimation process exactly as instructed, the anemones began to deteriorate and melt in my tank. I attached images as evidence. To prevent further damage to my reef tank's water quality, I removed the anemones and reached out to Queen City Corals again, seeking guidance on how they would rectify the situation. After receiving no response, I followed up the next day. When I called, a representative assured me that the manager would return my call. Hours passed with no response. Frustrated by the lack of communication, I called again and was once more told the manager would "look into it." After much back and forth, they finally issued a refund for the Black Light Anemones but refused to refund the shipping cost--even though the corals were dead on arrival. While I understand that shipping costs are a shared loss, this situation clearly warranted a full refund for the entire order. Although a partial refund is better than nothing, the entire experience highlighted Queen City Corals' lack of communication, poor product quality, and false advertising. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere, such as Aqua SD or World Wide Corals, for better quality and service.

They offer water tests and give helpful feedback about what you could do to achieve the appropriate water parameters suitable for your tank. They also have reverse osmosis water, which we have not found anywhere else! The owner is super nice and very knowledgeable and helpful. My boyfriend loves getting all of his aquarium supplies and new fish from this great quality store. Even though we don't live nearby, we make the drive because it is worth it!

We picked up our two cats early Monday morning and I was absolutely shocked at the bill for 9 days. I always figure out what a bill is going to be ahead of time so I'll have a good idea of what the charge will be. I had it figured out at five hundred and some odd dollars plus we had been asked to put down a hundred dollars for a deposit. We were told the first kitty was 33 dollars and the second was 29, HOWEVER they mentioned nothing about a pet Holiday fee. REALLY? You're already getting too much money for two kitties, but guess what, we were charged 10 dollars a cat per day. Yes, that's right. 20 dollars a day on top of the exorbitant fee for two kitties. I talked to the manager thinking there had been a mistake and couldn't believe we were hit with the extra 20 dollars a day. I told her that PP should at least let customers know up front that they have that gouging holiday fee. She told me that it was on the counter on a yellow card. I asked who would be reading messages on the counter when they are in the throes of letting their pets go, giving instructions, handing over their food, etc. And by the way, what they call kitty condos looks like an old timey ice box and it looks like imprisonment. For that kind of money they should have a room. That was the understanding that I had when talking to one of the employees on the phone. I couldn't stop thinking about my kitties on my whole vacation and being in that stifling box. Kitty condo my eye. What a joke!!!!!! So folks, we paid almost $80 a day for two little kitties that sleep most of the time anyway. read more

We have been looking for a safe place to bring our German Shepard for over 1 year. Searching high and low, and even traveling 30 (+) minuets for the right place, we stumbled across Pet-Paradise in Matthews NC. I must have pasted this location hundreds of times in the years they have been there, but never really took notice. I went on line to check them out and liked what I saw, so I stopped in. I was immediately greeted by several very friendly woman at the counter and they answered many of my questions. Then they asked if I would like a tour, I accepted and very impressed. Very open and clean location, and I can't say enough about the staff. Other places I visited, I found the reception area to be completely closed off from the rest of the facilities, but not here. Very open and welcoming, and you can actually see some of the play areas for the dogs I was invited to drop my Shepard off for a "Get to know you day". If anyone has had a German Shepard, you know they are instinctively protective dogs. Mine is that way and when I brought her in, she stepped up to do her job and was reluctant to let anyone near me. I'm pretty sure it was the manager, but she let my Remy calm down and took her back, and she was stayed for the day. I was able to go on line and watch the live stream videos of her interacting with the other dogs.....and she was great. I have what most people would consider to be a high maintenance dog. Stella was abused, so she has horrible separation anxiety. She is also very timid about trusting new people. I needed to find place that would be able to handle her as I know she isn't the easiest pup. This place is AMAZING!!! Stella goes to day care everyday, and she can't wait to get in the car in the morning. Every staff member knows her name, and they know she sometimes needs extra love. They will work with her on whatever mood she is in. Sometimes she wants to be alone with a human, and sometimes she wants to play with the big dogs. They will go above and beyond to make my dog comfortable. I can't say enough how at ease my mind is while I am at work. Stella can't handle thunderstorms, and there is a thunderstorm room with supervision to make sure these dogs feel safe. She has never gotten sick, and I feel like this place is extremely clean. I love the Facebook page with all the dog pictures, and the report cards given to me about how my pup did during the day. I can't say enough good things about this place. Whether your dog is "normal" or high maintenance like mine, this would be the place I would recommend. read more

I've only left my dogs at Paradise on three occasions. One was a 3 night stay while on vacation, the second stay was Day Camp, while I spent the day in the mountains, and the 3rd occasion was a Day Camp visit while my home was being painted. They've always stayed in their own home with a neighbor feeding and letting them out. While at home, they must stay in their crates for their own safety. I finally decided to trust Pet Paradise with my dogs so they didn't have to stay crated, and they would have the freedom to socialize with other dogs, and people. It was a freeing experience after the initial stay, with web cam photos being sent while I was away. I now use Dog Day Camp, when unexpected events pop up, such as home repairs, or maybe just a housecleaning day. In the event I go on vacation this summer, I will certainly leave my 3 rowdy, active Boxers at Pet Paradise. It took 3 years before I felt comfortable leaving them at all. Now, that we have Pet Paradise in Matthews, it is the only place I'd leave them. I use this location only, as it's the most convenient. I have not tried the other locations, but I expect you'd be in great hands in either of the 3 facilities. CRT. read more

I can't find the words to show my true gratitude for this facility. My husband and I are proud parents of a 1 1/2 yr old Olde English Bulldog puppy who we call Tuggles. While Tuggles is a very good boy, he is all boy and all puppy. We have searched high and low for a facility that is willing to accommodate such a specimen. Everyone says he plays too rough and doesn't understand the word no. Well thank God, we were referred to Pet Paradise (Matthews) by Camp Bow Wow. These guys took Tuggles in and accepted his every attribute. They were extremely professional and accommodating to us. We knew that we would struggle with leaving him as we have never been apart from him any longer than a day at work. The staff at Pet Paradise would literally walk back to his suite every time we called to check on him and give us a full report on him. And they always seemed very happy to do so. Again, I can't say enough good things about this facility and staff, thank you guys for taking such good care of our boy and for being so understanding and accommodating to his father and I!!! FIVE STARS IS NOT ENOUGH TO EXPRESS OUR SATISFACTION AND APPRECIATION!!!!! read more

We have been taking our pup there for a little under 5 months for day care as well as using them for boarding. We had been very leery about coming to a new place particularly after a death that occurred at another local boarder. I have explained certain details that we would like them to follow in regard to feeding and play time and they listened and apply them to her when she visits! I am very happy with the care they have given our girl. Although, I wish I was able to see more of my girl, live on cameras as they do have them available to watch on PC as well as on "doggy o" app. I don't see much of her, occasionally I see a quick glimpse, wish they got more shots of the dogs, seem to see the same ones a-lot. If I am worried, I give a ring and they stop and check and see how she is doingS That would be my only complaint thus far is more pictures. She always comes home happy, calm and exhausted for nearly 2 days from playtime @ Pet Paradise. Thanks, for taking care of our girl Luna! We love Pet Paradise, Matthews! Our boys receive outstanding care during their visits. We have never boarded them before moving to Charlotte, so we were pretty anxious on their first visit. The staff quickly put our minds at ease, as it is very evident that everyone loves being there and working with these precious animals. We have boarded the boys here on 2 separate occasions. Both times were awesome....We have absolutely no qualms leaving our babies in their care! It is such a comfort to know they are getting love and attention while away from home. Lots of love, playtime, potty breaks, mealtimes, and rest times.....peace of mind! We love watching our boys and all of the other visitors on the doggy cam during play times! My 9 month old baby boy "Kai" had an awesome time! Today was "Get Acquainted" day for him. I was greeted immediately from the staff as soon as I entered the doors. After they received my precious baby, I was given a tour of the facility and saw Kai's sleeping or down time area. I appreciate the genuineness and transparency of the Assistant Mgr, Rachel. She is a very down to earth person whom you can tell love dogs. She made me feel like my dog was important to her and as a dog parent, that brought comfort and assurance. Upon arrival, Rachel knew who I was and shared with me how well Kai did. Kai gave her kisses as well as another staff member before we left. I could tell my Kai was happy with them. I will start out by saying I visited 7 different daycare/ boarding locations before making the decision on where I felt comfortable leaving my Dog (Tank) with someone I didn't know. It has been the best decision I could have ever made for myself and my boy. Not only am I now able to enjoy my time away with ease knowing that he is being taken care of, but I can tell by his demeanor that he is happy to be there. The cameras that you can view online give me the availability to check in on Tank. The few times I've checked in on the cameras he has been playing with the other dogs and get lots of attention from his favorite care takers. We searched for the perfect place to board our dog, Tank and after visits to 7 area locations, we decided to try Pet Paradise in Matthews. I can honestly say this was the best decision we have made. After the trail visit he was worn out. When we took him back he was so excited the closer we got to the location. It just reaffirms that we made the right decision every time we take him to day camp or to be boarded. Rachel and the staff are wonderful, they treat Tank as if he's one of their own. We recently had him groomed for the first time at Pet Paradise, They did an amazing job. I can not say enough good things about everyone there. I have been taking Allie, my young American Bulldog to Pet Paradise for several months, both for day care and also have boarded her, which I had never done before. Our experience has been great. The staff is friendly and Allie can't wait to go see her friends.I feel comfortable that she is being taken care of and the staff loves her. I do wish I could see her a little more often on the web cams. I monitor them all during the day but don't see her as much as I would like. We recently used Pet Paradise in Matthews and were extremely disappointed with the service we received. Despite paying for VIP treatment, our pets were left in their room for over 12 hours at a time. We found feces and urine on the floor daily, indicating they were not taken outside as often as we were told they would be. The care and attention promised in the VIP package were clearly not delivered. We expect much better for the well-being of our pets and will not be using this service again. read more

Kudos to the lovely Kamber, I dropped off my dog Itus this morning, realized half way home I had left his lunch on top of my car as I drove away. I called back and ask Kamber to see if it was in the parking lot and she had no problem at all going out into the cold to see if a ziploc bag of food was there. It was not, she offered to give Itus some of the food they have there. Thanks Kamber for going over and beyond!!! Thanks Pet Paradise for hiring people that love their job!! read more

I've been using Pet Paradise in Matthews for about a year now. They have been wonderful with my two babies. I'm one of those anxious owners who was very nervous leaving my dogs under someone's care. Everyone at Pet Paradise has been so super sweet and accommodating. I love watching them interact on the camera as well. I like knowing that they are safe. Pretty soon they will start having a full-time veterinarian in there so that will be super convenient! read more

We are new to the area and have found Pet Paradise Matthews to be terrific. From the friendly staff to the cleanliness of all the areas, we will be back again and again. There is a 'senior' section which is perfect for my 10+ year old pup. His playtime as well as his boarding kennel is with other senior dogs....it's quieter and less frenetic than with the younger pups. This place is just great!! read more

I have been taking my three dogs to Pet Paradise for a number of years, and I trust them completely. My dogs always look forward to their stay, and as I watch the Live Cam, I see how sweet the staff is with them. My one Jack Russell loves to swim, so having the big pool for her to swim is heaven! The staff is always pleasant and I always leave knowing that my dogs are in good hands. read more

We have been bringing our Boy Oliver to this location in Matthews for 2 years and the staff is trulu caring and attentive.I watch on the camera and its nice to be able to see Oliver playing with other fur babies. Every time I pick him up after aday playing he comes home exhausted so I know that he has had fun. I reccomend Pet Paradise Matthews because the staff really cares read more

I have only boarded my dog Freya here twice and the people who work here already k ow her by name. It's a busy place but I think their system of rotating the dogs out playing is the best way to do it, it allows the dogs to get the exercise without overwhelming the handlers or the dogs themselves. I would highly recommend it. read more

I've been bringing both my dogs to this location for 5 years now. The staff is amazing and so wonderful with my dogs. It's clean, organized and safe. I can see videos of my dogs throughout the day. They go above and beyond to make sure that the dogs are cared for and the owners are happy. Thank you for all you do! read more

We love Pet Paradise because our dogs are always excited to arrive. The staff members are caring and professional, and the grooming is always well done. When I picked them up after work, they were brought into the lobby smelling of urine. They left wet paw prints on the floor. When I got them into the car, the urine smell was overwhelming. I went back in and asked the woman at the front desk why the dogs reeked of urine. She actually asked, "what do you want me to do about it?". I replied maybe return the dogs in the same condition as when they were dropped off. She said maybe they rolled in it outside. Rolled in urine? Um, ok. Thank God I have a dog cover over the back seat of the car. It was soaked. Their collars and leashes were wet and reeked as well. I had the enjoyment of running everything through the wash and giving the dogs 3 rounds of bathing each to get the smell out of their fur. They were obviously kept in their kennels without being let out to relieve themselves. Both dogs are housebroken and well behaved. Not a way I want to spend my evening after working all day. Not to mention that doggie daycare is not cheap. The first strike was when I came to pick them up and while I was waiting for them to come out, a very large aggressive dog named "Tarzan" came in with his owner and the owner had no control over him. The female front desk staff wouldn't take him back to his kennel. They had to call a male to the front that could handle him. My dogs had to be kept behind glass doors until it was safe for them to come out. That's a huge liability on Pet Palace if that dog hurts another person or dog. Ever heard of making the owner call when he's in the parking lot to make sure the lobby is clear?
