Just got my Pomeranian Misty groomed here for the first time and I could not be happier with the results. I showed photos of what I did and did not what and Miki absolutely nailed it! She did an amazing job with Misty's cut and I will definitely be back!

I have been taking my 3 year old maltipoo here for a while now and I always enjoy the service. Today I had Bailey go in for a groom and I requested that she get a hair cut like a photo I found on their website and they did a great job. They are always so nice and friendly and my pup always comes back home looking cute and happy. Thank you so much for giving my Bailey a great hair cut. I will definitely stick to this place they have never failed me. Thank you!

3 days before his haircut (beard was clearly not matted yet it was completely shaved off)

I've never been so unsatisfied with a place and I never write bad reviews. However, I think people deserve to see this. My boyfriend took our dog to grateful pets about a week ago. He showed them a photo of his last haircut and asked for the same cut. The groomer shaved every inch of our golden doodle except for a random uneven piece on top of his head on the left side. She claimed that he was too matted and needed to shave him. However, she never called to let us know she would do that. On top of that, she made a huge cut on his ear and didn't say anything. I understand people make mistakes, but I don't appreciate her not saying anything. I posted a picture of our dog 3 days before his cut, and it's clear that his beard and ears were not matted to the point that they needed to be shaved down to the skin. When I called to let them know, the guy claimed that my boyfriend wanted him shaved completely (not true) and said I should have expressed my concerns earlier. We didn't want to complain and were trying to accept his haircut because we know it will eventually grow back but when I noticed the huge cut on his ear I felt the need to call. After claiming we asked for this haircut (who would ask for their dog to look like this?!?) and saying he was matted and probably scratched himself to cause the bleeding, the guy offered 10% off his next cut. Definitely will not be back.

I have used various camp Bow Wow locations, but this location has become my primary whenever I have…read moreto board my pups locally as this facility accepts dogs under 10# (not all locations accept under 10#). The process is typical for Camp Bow Wow of requiring new-camper interview prior to board/day camp. The interview process requires the pawrent to stay at the facility approx. 30 minutes while your pups' temperament/socialization skills are evaluated. If given the green light, pup is required to stay for a few hours of play. Staff is very helpful and caring towards the pups. They are also very efficient with the check-in/out processes. The facility seems clean and well -organized. There is an adjacent parking lot. Reservations and sharing records is now very easy via the Camp Bow Wow app, which also allows you to view your pups while they are in the playrooms and establish reservations with any of the camp Bow Wow locations. This location is quite a drive for me, but I have yet to find any other place who I trust to care for my precious pups when I have to be away for several days!

Absolute Failure of Care: Unauthorized Injury and Mismanaged Play…read moreI am writing this review as a serious warning to other dog owners. My experience with Camp Bow Wow Matthews was unacceptable, resulting in injury to my 10-month-old puppy and a complete failure of service on a follow-up visit. Incident 1: Unauthorized Procedure Resulting in Injury On his first visit, my 10-month-old puppy was subjected to an unauthorized nail trim that I did not request or approve. When I picked him up, his toenails had been cut down below the quick on multiple toes and were bleeding profusely. This indicates a severe lack of care and training, compounded by performing a painful procedure without owner consent. I complained to the staff immediately about the pain and distress this caused my puppy. Incident 2: Mismanagement of Play and Unapproved Confinement Despite the initial injury, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and brought him back. I picked him up to find he had been isolated and crated for the final three hours of the day. The staff claimed this was because he was "targeting a puppy." I reviewed the video footage they provided and confirmed that the behavior they labeled as "targeting" was clearly rough, energetic play--not aggression. For a professional daycare facility, misinterpreting normal puppy play and confining him for three hours instead of actively managing the group or separating him into a smaller, supervised area shows a complete lack of necessary skill and accountability. The combination of causing a preventable, unauthorized injury and then failing to provide the core service (socialization and supervised play) demonstrates a serious lack of professional care and judgment. I requested a full refund for both failed services. I strongly advise other pet owners to find a different facility that prioritizes the safety, accurate behavior assessment, and well-being of your dog.

This is an update for Nana's Pet Sitting…read more This past year I have added a 5th dog to my group. At one point it was a foster dog that hated other dogs. Nana's Pet Sitting did a wonderful job at caring for my four and being quite creative at caring for my foster who was fearful around strangers. All was handled beautifully by Heidi and Linda. In the fall and at Christmas (2019) I was away and had adopted a 5th dog. This 5th dog is a puppy. Heidi came in 4 times a day as I always schedule and cared well for all of my dogs. There were medications to be given plus my dogs must be rotated due to one disliking one of my others. With the 5th it has caused Heidi to need more time which Linda gave her and which I agreed to cover financially! That old saying .. you get what you pay for!! If you want you pets to receive the best care .. call Linda Edwards with Nana's Pet Sitting. What I love about Linda .. she is direct .. no sugar coating. She has your pet's best interest and am so glad she is this way!!

I recently attended a pet first aid seminar presented by Linda Edwards of Nana's Pet Sitting/Pet…read moreFirst Aid and it was a complete waste of time. It was $40 for a two hour class that taught me nothing of value. For instance, one of the topics was what to do if your dog is bitten by a snake. Linda's Answer: Take them to the Emergency Vet. It doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. I also found Linda to be downright rude as well as a poor public speaker. She had no time management and completely lost control of the group on several occasions. At one point another guest asked a question and I gave my input and mentioned that I was a groomer. The guest thanked me for my input and Linda told me that she "lost all respect for me" because I was a groomer and then laughed it off. I realize that groomers do not always have the best reputations however; if I am paying you to attend a class the least you can do is not insult me in front of a room full of people. I will never use her petsitting business or take another one of her classes again.
