We called Mickey after buying a foreclosure home that needed the interior and exterior paint to be done. We received a quote, which afterwards we were told he quoted us too much and they adjusted the quote, and agreed for the interior to be painted so we could move in ASAP. He had a crew come in and when they started painting, they were painting the wrong colors on the wrong walls. Luckily we lived down the street from the home and fixed this before everything was painted incorrectly. The day they finish painting, I came by to discover paint all over my brand new tile floors and my brand new carpet on my stairs. There was paint in my grout everywhere, that is not coming out. The crew tried to claim they never painted my stairs and when pointed out to them with pictures, they took it upon themselves to CUT my carpet that had paint on it. They made right by finally accepting they painted my brand new carpet and installed the same carpet again after some push back. They installed the carpet themselves so if there is any issue with labor or the carpet, I do not get my lifetime guarantee through my flooring company anymore because my store didn't install it, which is very upsetting. Unfortunately, I was not informed that they were painting all the way to my ceiling's to cover up some paint from the previous owners so there was no communication. They did make right on this by allowing me to pay for materials and just labor for painting the ceilings but I wasn't prepared to paint the ceilings yet. They included a 10% off my bill for the problems and painted a bit of trim for me which was nice. Unfortunately, I didn't want to have to keep going back and forth with them so there's spots and face plates they never took off to paint that I'm going to just have to do myself. They started on my exterior and the 2nd day they did my exterior, my AC all of a sudden stopped working...I called out an AC company and they informed me that it was dented and oily as if someone was standing on top of it. This traumatic event led to the coils being ruined and now I have to pay $3,200 for a brand new outside AC unit that would have been fine if said traumatic event didn't happen to my outside unit considering my inside unit is perfectly fine and my unit is a 2018 and shouldn't need to be replaced. I also had just serviced my AC and it was functioning perfectly fine before this event. I didn't even bring this to the attention of the owner or during the walk through because I know nothing will be done and they will plead the 5th and say they never touched my AC unit. They also refused to move the empty hot tub in my back yard to paint the house exterior so I am going to take care of painting the spot where the hot tub was because I'm beyond frustrated with the company and I could have painted myself but it would've been quicker with them and I thought I was hiring professionals. The outside of my house does look good and had no issues besides my AC unit. The crew that did my interior was nothing but problems. Nails and faceplates were left everywhere. I let them know they could dispose of them since I was putting on brand new ones. They did make right by my problems we encounter so I gave 3 stars but these problems never should have happened. These are just SOME of the pictures we took. Austin was fine with us submitting payment even though we specifically said we were NOT happy with the work done and it was not professional looking at all. They just want your money. The owner was very nice and wanted to solve problems and get to a resolution of the problems but this whole thing was a huge frustration for my family.
Edit to add: the old paint when we bought the house is coming through the new paint that was suppose to be great. They also bought the wrong paint for us because now when we try to clean the walls, all of the paint gets wiped away with any cleaner we use, even water. We specifically said no to this because we had animals and needed an easy clean, not to repaint walls when they got dirty. Paid for a second layer of paint and didn't get that in the bathrooms. You can see the previous paint through the tiny one layer of paint they did. read more
