Very racist front desk! Recently the gym requested a profile picture at check in . Immediately 2 more employees that were there stand up and said we need to do this now! While talking , several other gym members check in after me and most didn't have a profile picture either but we're not asked to do one nor they were stopped , as I was , to enter the facility. I personally knew one of the persons who checked in while I was talking with the 3 employees at the front desk, and she didn't have a profile picture I saw it on one of the front desk computers. Out of nowhere, another guy showed up , I am not sure he was an employee or not, asking to show them my ID , so they can identify me. I said ok, I can show you my ID. I felt like I am a criminal, passing LAX security guards. When I show my Driver License , an employee took a picture of my driver license without asking me. He was only supposed to verify my identity not take a picture of my driver license! Many other members checked in at the gym , while we were talking and none of them that didn't have a picture on their account was stopped or asked for a picture, only me, I was singled out! Forma , you should train better your employees to be more polite and respectful towards the members who pay their salaries! And think twice before you hire disrespectful teenagers who think they own the company! Very disappointing experience. The way Forma Gym employees treated me appears extremely selective--some people are repeatedly singled out and bothered over minor issues, while others are given a free pass for doing the exact same things. Rules should be applied consistently and fairly to everyone, not enforced only against particular people. Professionalism means treating every customer equally and respectfully. Management should take a closer look at how these situations are handled, because this kind of inconsistent treatment creates a very unfair and uncomfortable environment.

Are you young, new to the city, and like meeting new people?…read more Then WAKA Kickball is for you! I've been playing for 5 years now. There are several days you can play, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday. Each Day of the week has a different vibe and level of competition. I mainly play on Sundays which is a little less competitive than other days. And it gives me enough time to recover. After the games we head to our sponsor bar to hang out, drink, and play flip cup. There are usually 2-3 parties that happen every season as well. I've made some of my best friends playing kickball. You should too!

Really fun and really great way to meet new people in a new city (or when you want to make new…read morefriends in the city you've lived in for awhile). Every league is different, so it's worth trying a few if you don't like the first one you are in. The kickball is fun but it works really well when paired with the drinking games after. The most important thing is to find a league where the post-game bar is on a night where you can afford to drink and is easy to get home from (i.e. no driving necessary). A good post-game means it doesn't matter whether you are on a team that loses every game. There is a mix of players and some have played for a few years and understand the strategies and have experience, while others are just starting out. Signing up as a free agent is pretty random, so you can get placed on a completely new team or as filling out an established squad. Most people are generally friendly and welcoming (beer does that to you).

What I Love 1. Top-Notch Amenities…read moreFrom the well-maintained free-weight section and cardio machines to the heated pool, spa, sauna and steam rooms -- everything feels clean, modern, and thoughtfully laid out. The variety of court sports (tennis, racquetball, pickleball) is a big bonus, especially when you want a break from monotonous workouts. 2. Friendly & Professional Staff The front desk team, trainers, and maintenance staff are all approachable, helpful, and responsive. Whenever I've had a question or requested assistance (be it with equipment, scheduling, or classes), it's been addressed promptly and with a smile. 3. Community Feel This is more than just a gym -- there's a sense of belonging. Members say hello, staff recognize faces, and there's a positive energy in the place. It feels like more than a place to lift or swim; it's a place where people want to spend time.

Some facilities are…read moreokay but not worth what they charge, and the jacuzzi often has a very strong chlorine smell that even irritates your eyes. I was there with four children and felt disrespected during an interaction with the owner Bruce. The way I was spoken to felt rude and condescending, yelling and threatening to call the police over moving chairs its crazy. Our membership was canceled right after his meltdown. Paying members deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect. I also observed the summer camp area while there. Children who were not in the pool didn't seem to have any alternative activities and were mostly left sitting around, with staff often raising their voices and telling them if they don't get in the pool is their problem. Overall, I left with the impression that this club prioritizes collecting fees over providing quality service and a positive experience for families. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this club.

These one-star reviews criticizing how the employees look are absolutely diabolical and disgusting!…read moreThe managers and staff at East Bay Sports go above and beyond for their customers every single day. Anyone leaving those kinds of comments must've truly woken up on the wrong side of the bed to be that cruel and unfair. Let me explain why East Bay Sports deserves a five-star review. I've been bringing my son here since he could walk he started in the Little Kickers program and now, at age nine, plays in the soccer team division. We absolutely love indoor soccer, and this facility makes it such a great experience for families. The kids always have a blast, the field is consistently clean and safe, and the entire place has such a welcoming atmosphere. The owner, Chris, deserves special recognition. He's incredibly calm, patient, and professional even when parents get heated during games, coming up to him in his office raising their voices, he never raises his voice or loses his composure. You can tell he genuinely cares about the families and players who come here. This is a family-run establishment and the only indoor soccer facility in the area, which makes it such a valuable part of our community. Beyond soccer, they also offer batting cages (which are a ton of fun!) and host birthday parties that kids love. Whether your child is a toddler just learning to kick a ball or an older kid who's ready for league play, there's a perfect spot for everyone. You don't need to be a pro you just need to want to play, learn, and have fun. With so many classes and programs to choose from, I highly recommend East Bay Sports for any family looking for a positive, active, and inclusive environment.
