Da Scene: Been procrastinating on removal of an old wood burning stove in our covered patio since last year, when the roof area where the stove pipe goes through the roof started leaking during heavy rains... Nows the time, enter Yelp! and East Bay Handyman! Da Work: Quality, quick, courteous, and good value is a great combination. What I wanted was the stove & pipe removed, and the roof repaired; leak-proof. When complete the only evidence left was the stone wall and footing, from the roof outside, like it was never there! After a few days to cure I hit the roof area with the hose and doused it well, no leaks... but the real test will be the next heavy rain, fingers crossed. Da Service: Nazar was fast to respond and quoted reasonably after a thorough inspection and confirming expectations. Labor was quoted up front with any materials reimbursed with receipts. No deposit or retainer - that always was a warning flag for me - if an outfit needed $$ upfront. After removal of the stove, he assessed how he would approach the roof repair and took off for Home Depot. Starting mid-day, the work was complete by sunset, work area cleaned well, inside and out. We needed our 19 year old microwave which suddenly stopped working above our electric range top fixed or replaced. Nazari responded quickly and we set up a time for him to assess the problem. He came by and tried to get it working, but (as I fully expected) had to get a new one. We texted him dimensions of the old one and he sent us a link to Home Depot to pick out a stainless steel unit.
