We could not be happier with the recommendation as the appetizers and entrées were absolutely stunning -- both in flavor and aesthetics! Our biggest difficulty was choosing dishes from his diverse catalog of offerings since they all sounded delicious. He was also very accommodating and made various adjustments to account for particular food allergies that some of our guests had (without compromising on flavor at all). For appetizers, we chose: - Pepper-Crusted Seared Ahi Tuna (Seka Hills EVOO, Sicilian Pesto, Herbs) - Ratatouille Tarts (Puff Pastry, Seka Hills EVOO, Parmigiano Reggiano) - Pistachio Flatbread (Onion, Burrata, Honey, and Chili Oil -- this one was a extra-huge hit with all guests) For dinner, we started with a Local Harvest Salad (Farm Vegetables, Fruit, Vinaigrette, Cheese, and Nuts -- plating was particularly beautiful for the salad), and had three entrée options: - Wagyu New York Steak (Imperial American Wagyu, Roasted Vegetables, Marinated Portobello Mushrooms, Potato Galette, and Red Wine Jus) - Signature Duck (Mary's Crusted Duck Breast, Hind-Quarter Confit, Potato Cake, Charred Vegetables, and Duck Jus) - Roasted Butternut Squash with Cannellini Beans (Charred Vegetables, Marinated Portobello Mushrooms, and Saffron-Rosemary Broth) Throughout our entire wedding and afterwards, guests were telling us how impressed they were and that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! He and his team arrived right on schedule, set up (including silverware and plates) cooked and served outstanding food, provided extremely attentive service, and then cleaned up, leaving the kitchen absolutely spotless (while also deftly navigating a brief power outage!). We cannot recommend Adam Small Cooks highly enough! His food, attention to detail, and service are truly next level. Thank you again for making our wedding so special!

Chef Adam was amazing!!!…read more We celebrated a friend's birthday with 6 people at an Airbnb in Sonoma. We had a six course menu (see below for details) that was excellent! For the vegetarian in the group (me) he was able to whip up a wonderful dish when everyone else was eating halibut. Every single dish was a stand out and the group was so happy with how everything turned out. This was a wish of the birthday girl - to have a private chef and to spend time with her girlfriends. She was blown away by the experience. The 6 course meal included: Fried Baby Artichokes: lemon aioli, herbs, chili oil Flatbread: preserved truffle, pistachios, onion, burrata, honey, chili oil Ash Roasted Beets: kimchi honey, pistachios, ravigote, feta Charred Zucchini Agnolotti: fried sage, brown butter, lemon, pepper, parmigiana Seared Halibut: fennel-potato salad, herbs, haricot vert, preserved truffle champagne sauce Under-Baked Chocolate Cake: Italian meringue, Luxardo cherries, cocoa nibs Also, our kitchen was left spotless! Thanks again Chef Adam for giving us the perfect first day of our trip!

Chef Eric was OUTSTANDING! I hired him for a single night, two-person dinner and he was wonderful…read more He was super communicative and very flexible with the menu items, providing about 5 options per course. Chef Eric brings all of the ingredients and a lot of his own supplies- he just needs a working stove/oven and a bit of fridge space to work his magic! He brought some of his own fancy plateware for the main course and dessert, and used our forks, drink ware and other plates. In terms of timing, he arrives about 1-1.5 hours before service to set up and get ready. For service, he brought out fresh utensils and presented each dish to us! We're big foodies and he was nice enough to answer some of our questions about the food, technique, and his background. My partner and I started with a little gem salad that was truly stunning and delicious! My partner mentioned it was the best food to be served on our plates! The salad was then followed by a warm and yummy spring pea and asparagus risotto. I had the roasted chicken roulade stuffed with herbs with romesco sauce and veggies, and my partner had the steak au poivre with pomme puree and veggies. Both of these were great but we both agreed the steak was our fav! For dessert, we had the strawberry shortcake which was "not too sweet" and a perfect and light way to end the night! What delighted us the most was that Chef Eric had cleaned the whole kitchen (loaded the dishwasher, cleaned the stove, emptied the dish rack), AND PROVIDED LEFTOVERS! Seriously so stoked to eat more of the salad and strawberry shortcake. All in all, this was an awesome experience and we would definitely contact Chef Eric again for another dinner!

Dianna provided multiple Fall menu options a couple of weeks prior, and was easily able to adapt to a couple of minor dietary restrictions. Making a choice was the hardest part, there were so many amazing options. She stopped by to familiarize herself with the kitchen and do the final pregame planning one week prior to the event. She arrived about an hour before to set up, and all was ready & mis en place before guests arrived for cocktails. The food was wonderful. We had two rounds of appetizers, a shrimp and avocado stuffed endive, as well as a tomato confit mozzarella Crostini. We had trouble restraining ourselves. The salad with winter greens, fennel, apple, and toasted almonds was perfectly dressed. The braised duck legs fell off the bone, had a delicious marinated flavor crispy skin, and were served aux jus over a wild rice blend. Roasted parsnips and carrots gave it that final fantastic Fall touch. Desert was this simply amazing chocolate cake with three or four different layers involving mousse, ganache, shaved chocolate, and more chocolate! It's a miracle we all survived. Throughout Dianna kept everybody's champagne glass full, circulated the appetizers, and timed the courses to the pace of the crowd. She was charming, with a smile all evening that never stopped. And the best part, and I admit this is a little selfish, was I had to do a bunch of volunteer work all day long, and was able to just relax and get cleaned up in that hour before the party. You know that part when you are normally frantic, running around trying to tighten up all the loose ends. It really was a treat!

If you're looking for a personal chef, that listens, understands the clients, taste profile, provides food that will knock your socks off. Dianna is the only choice.
