The facility is super clean and they were really nice about our kids eating a snack towards the end. We only did 30 min bc our kids are young. Overall, great facility, super clean, quiet on a Monday evening, and they were really accommodating. I will definitely be back. The monthly membership is so tempting but sooo pricey . I do like how clean and quiet it is. Hojin was also helpful for sure. And I appreciate them being so open and willing to give our 2 and 4 year old a lesson, and also warning us ahead of time in case they didn't cooperate what they would do. Ian is the real deal - he fits his teaching perfectly between technical analysis and feel. He doesn't overwhelm with things like "oh your face is 2* open at impact" or "7500 rpms is too spinny for a 6 iron lets fix that" I would get from some other coach. I have went from shooting ~130 per round to getting my first handicap at 30.5 to getting my current handicap to 18.7 to signing up for my first tournament in 14 months. I have taken 9 lessons over these 13 months and he has built my swing from nothing to where it is today. I know that my velocity of improvement has everything to do with his teaching. Come in with an open mind and be ready to practice - you will improve with his teaching and analysis.

"Golf on the Parkway!"…read more This is a brand new business, just opened in the heart of Dublin, on Village parkway. The business is located in what used to be a lawn mower shop. You can park easily along Village parkway, or park in the rear. This is a beautiful, well laid out shop with all kinds of golf equipment. They also offer private instructions, with a local golf pro. Don't forget to check out the course simulator, in the rear of the business. It's located in a huge room, which you can rent for either yourself or for a group of people. The software gives you feedback on your swing, so you can beat all of your golf buddies. The owner explained that the simulator is a good option for a rainy day, or perhaps a 100° blistering day in August. There's even a breakout room, where you can have a brew. I had a chance to talk to the friendly owner, who explained the business and showed me some of the equipment. Thank you for opening this specialty shop in Dublin. We need more star businesses like this. But what happened to all the lawn mowers?

Whoa, totally surprised I haven't reviewed this course yet. A lot has to do with I haven't played…read morehere in over 20 years. But in my first 5-7 years on taking up the game (95'-02'ish), we played here often, as this is a great course to learn on for several reasons. 1) It is only 9 holes, so you don't have to commit to a long 5-hour round on a big course. And when one is a beginner, 18 holes can be grueling. 2) The course is wide open, lots of room to err, without much penalty areas. Now there are areas you have to watch out for, but still much more generous than most other courses. 3) Lots of other not-so-good golfers here. So even if you suck, you won't really be holding up snooty better golfers, who will often press your pace. So be prepared for a slower round here, can't be in hurry here. 4) Cheaper green fees. Currently in 2026 it was $20 to walk on a weekday morning. Not sure what it is on weekends. It doesn't get any cheaper to play, especially out here in the Bay Area. Now for better players, this is still not a bad place to practice and hone your short game. I took my regular Monday crew here, as 1 of them had never been, and the other golf mate hadn't been in a long time, just like me. And we had a great time. For a 9 holer, there are 3 short par 4s. The rest are par 3s and they are really not that easy. Some of them are longer like 170+ yards, and almost all the greens are bowled/raised so it looks like a turtles hump. So a little tougher on getting your ball to stick to your target. You'll be doing a lot of chipping and pitching, which is all great practice for your short game. This course is in the middle of horse racetrack, at the Alameda Co. Fairgrounds. Great way to make use of otherwise dead space. Now when the fair is going on during the summer, I'm sure this course will close down. But the rest of the year, it is open. There is also a driving range/practice facility. But haven't used those yet. Locals seem to use it. And since it is inside the racetrack, in order to get inside, you'll have to drive under a one way tunnel. Which used to be scary back in the day, as you had to honk to warn the other direction that you were going through. Now there is a traffic light that directs traffic, which eliminates guessing and having to back up inside a tunnel. A nice course that has stood the test of time and is still serving a very specific purpose...to teach and prep newer golfers by providing a relaxed and beginner friendly environment. To that I gotta give props.

He re glued a broken shaft on my club because I said I had a round tomorrow and went above and beyond. Honestly a tremendous guy. As far as the fitting went..... Eugene is one of the rudest ppl I've ever met. First off, I came with my dad a few months ago. I don't know what gave him the right to speak to my dad so rudely, but it definitely pissed me off. My dad asked for some help picking a club out, and he literally scoffed at him and said "Well, which irons you want? Do you have any idea? I can't help you if you don't know what you want. Take a look around and come to the simulator" My dad doesn't take any shit, he just brought 4 different full iron sets to the sim and tried em. He was so pissed, he didn't even want to buy. He got a feel for what he wanted and bought something from Roger Dunn and never came back here. Fast forward to today (fully forgot about the above interaction until after I started speaking to him) I went to him and I said I want to do an iron club fitting. He asked, "What brand?" I said honestly I don't know. I just want to use what's best for me and told him I've only ever played with senior flex Mizunos (my grandfathers) and would love to try some clubs out and see which one I'm most comfortable with. This dude rolled his eyes, slapped his hand down on the counter and said "Well how can I even help you if I don't know what you want? When you walk in to a car dealership, don't you know what car you want? What brand are you leaning towards? What even brings you here?" Bro... what?? Most people who go to buy a car go test drive the car before they drive it, right? Also, it completely depends on your budget... which it did for me. On top of all this, he didn't even help with the fitting, it was just me alone for 15 mins figuring it out on my own. Didn't provide any feedback, input, or help at all. Ended up getting a Callaway iron set for a steal and had a fantastic interaction with the rest of the staff. Long story short, Eugene is a mean as hell. Hope I never have to talk to him again.

I bought a lesson package and my Coach Andrew Loughrin proceeded to resolve my issues: slice, chunk, no weight transfer, etc. Being a lefty player, many coaches have a hard time providing appropriate instructions but not Andrew. He seamlessly worked the computer swing clips and allowed me to visualize the parts of my swing that needed attention. He provided great drills and encouraged me to practice (LOL). The GolfTec app provides a summary and clips of the session as well. Andrew's instructions finally clicked together, few months into it, I now have a 16 handicap!!!! Marcus was great. From the signing up to the instruction. He worked with my skillset (or lack…read morethereof) and didn't try to have me do things my body just won't do. This was my second set of lessons with Marcus. Unfortunately, after only one lesson of the ten I just purchased, I got a call from the Regional Manager telling me Marcus no longer worked for the company. I could only guess he got fired because I just had a lesson with Marcus that very morning and he never said anything. I also had other lessons booked with him in the future. I asked the Regional Manager about a refund and he said that I could get a refund since it was within the 30 day window of purchasing the 10 lesson package. When I was told what my refund would be, in was far less than I expected, since I only took 1 lesson. They said the way they worked their refunds was based on time, not number of lessons. Which is absurd to me. So, if after 29 days, I had not taken any lessons, I would not be refunded all of my initial payment. On the flipside, if I had taken 9 lessons in those 29 days, I would have been refunded the same amount as if I had taken zero lessons. I brought this scenario up to both the manager at the Pleasanton store (who was not friendly or helpful at all) and the Regional Manager (who was more friendly and more helpful) and they both agreed this would be the case. They also told me that there would be no way someone could take that many lessons in that short of time because of the way their scheduling works. I also explained that my first lesson was cancelled by Marcus and therefore I was shorted one lesson in that 29 day period. So, I should be compensated for that. They did not agree and went back the fact that there refund policy is based on time, and not lessons. This is a horrible policy that only benefits the company. So, while the lessons may be beneficial, beware of the company policies. There are tons of great golf instructors out there that will treat you fairly and won't mislead you. Also, please note that the lessons are based on 30 minute lessons, not 60 minutes. It's hard to get anything accomplished in 3o minutes so you end up using two lesson credits if you want an hour lesson. So my 10 30-minute lessons was really 5 60-minute lessons. This makes the cost of the package not worth it, in my opinion.
