Definitely bigger than it looks from the outside! Number one thing that gets most of these stars is the space. There's plenty of parking behind and in front of the business. And even though they have a lot of dryers and washers, there's enough room to roll your cart around people, laundry baskets, the lost sock... Bonus points for the manager saving my day. They have change machines that spit out quarters and quarter dollars. The big washing machines require $1 quarters which I did not read at first. So of course I went and got change in quarters instead. Thankfully, the manager is always around checking on things so he was able to exchange my pitiful quarters for fresh golden coins. Made my day especially it being my first time here! More expensive than other laundromats for sure. But with the space, clean machines, and friendly customer service, it's worth it entirely. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!! I had 2 machines that clearly had low/no water coming out. The lady, who there's a picture on here from another similar review, told me it was my fault for having too much clothes in there - they were clearly not even half filled! After she walked away I noticed there was an error message popping up and a quick google search confirmed that was related to the lack of water. I took a picture and walked over to show her the error message and ask her to come relook and she ignored me and walked away. When the cycle finally finished my half dry half wet clothes confirmed it wasn't "in my head" the machine clearly malfunctioned. I walked over to her again to show her that my clothes had not been washed and she again ignored me and walked away to clean something else. This time I followed her and asked to speak to the manager and she said no - what kind of response is that?! I kept following her and asked her if there was a manager here and she said no no manager and I when I said that's a lie there has to be a manager she finally responded that he wasn't here but would be coming in later. I told her to let me know when he arrived as I would really like to speak to him and she again told me there was nothing wrong with the machines. I walked away and proceeded to wash my clothes AGAIN in another machine and she came over to tell me, again, that the machines were fine and when I pulled out the clothes that was dry and I was having to rewash she walked away. If you're looking for the WORST customer experience and would like to play Russian roulette if your machine will work or not come here, otherwise there are many other places in the area to go to, avoid this place at all costs. read more

Second time coming to this laundromat the owners are very polite people once you walk in they say hi to you and if they see you need help carrying your baskets of clothes they will go and get you a pushing cart and help you push it in the laundromat and once you'd done washing and drying your clothes and ready to leave they will help you load it in the pushing cart. When you need change just ask the friendly owners and they're be happy to assist you . The place is clean and nice a lot of room to move around the washers and dryers work wonderful. For a laundry mat, this is the best one in the area.. actually the nicest one I've seen. We had 5 huge loads of blankets, comforters, clothes, dog bed and more--finished and folded in less than 1.5 hours. The washers and dryers are new, the space is very clean, the walls have paintings of Bay Area landscapes that isn't tacky (and looks like new paint), and the folding tables are big and made of marble. There's a designated parking lot out front. I like that the ceilings are high for ventilation and there's benches everywhere to sit. You can see the workers wiping down the machines and sweeping. The only downside is they only have a small amount of rolling carts and pricing is slightly higher than neighboring laundry mats. Overall, definitely recommend. read more

I honestly hesitate to come here because of the location, but I always feel safe an comfortable because the laundromat is so spacious, clean, and has a large parking lot! The service here is friendly as hell and there's always someone actively cleaning. This laundromat has 8x load machines for $9 which means I can do three huge baskets of laundry in one washer. The smallest ones cost $3. I love that there's also two Vietnamese restaurants right next door. I like to stop by for a snack while waiting for my clothes to dry. read more

Usually this is my goto. Clean and not too overpriced. Smaller washers were $4 & $3 and now they are $4.50 and $3.25. The dryers were .25 for 7 minutes and now you only get 5. The employees keep the place relatively clean but the last time I was here my sister saw a roach :( not sure if it's result of the place or stole aways from another customer. Makes me cringe though. Guess this place was bound to lose its newer place feel sooner or later. read more

Last wash is around 8:30pm and I got here around 8:45. She turned me away when all I had to do was dry my load. What upset me most was that she didn't even bother to listen that it was for drying. I use to go to the laundry mat a few blocks from here but it is very stuffy and small so I never liked it much. When this place opened up, decided to give it a try and haven't been to any other place since. It opened not too long ago so everything seems so new still! It is always clean and besides the occasional guy selling DVDs the customers here all keep to themselves, so you won't get bothered...or harassed, like other places. The man that works here, the Asian/Vietnsmese one (?) is one of the reason why I like it here! He always have a smile on his face, polite and always willing to help. He knows what you need before you even ask for it whether it be a cart or change. One time, I even saw him offer to help an elderly lady and her daughter (or maybe granddaughter) carry their many baskets and bags in. They were thanking him profusely and I was just thinking he is so nice! Great place and great service. read more

Do NOT go here. Go to the other ones close by. The machines eat your money. Some signs say "dollar coins only" to intentionally deceive you. I used dollar coins and didn't get change. Then the employee there tells me that quarters are actually okay. Also the change machine took $20 dollars and gave no change. Pretty much the best laundromat in this area that I've come across. I come here all the time and do my laundry in peace without being bothered/harassed aside from the guy selling DVDs that forgets I keep saying no every week. Its super clean and the bathrooms are kept up very well although the lady attendant doesn't seem to like being asked to open the bathroom for you(ask the guy, he doesn't mind at all) biggest pro is that they have dollar coins and free wi-fi,kevin's noodle house is also right across the street and there is plenty of safe parking. read more

From how cleaned it looked in the beginning when it first opened, I finally gave this place a shot bcuz the place I usually go to was packed. Pros: Clean, organized, staff availability and both small and big washers and dryers. They also offer $1 coins to make it easier and faster for the big washers instead of inserting so many quarters in. Lastly, not every laundromat does this, but they offer bill changes if you ask. I've only been to one other laundromat that does that and it's so convenient. Cons: All of the washing machines are not wide inside or in other words deep and that makes it less room to add more items in machine. Their wifi is shitty, it doesn't not work at all. Not a con or pro but this place does get packed! Don't be surprised if you can't find parking. Overall, I would try this place again. read more

First let me start off by saying that this place is really clean and safe. This is about my fourth visit to this laundry mat and it is my favorite so far. The only problem that I have is that I have a very late schedule, and the last wash starts at 8:30 PM. I arrived a few minutes before 830 and the attendant there was on me constantly. It was a very uncomfortable feeling. The only way I can describe the feeling is like when I'm in a store and I'm constantly asked if I need any help. (Like hurry up and get out of here n***a). I understand that they want to get out on time, but that is the only time that I can wash my clothes. In addition, I'm always out by 10 o'clock. One of the machines didn't have water coming out of it, I told the lady working and she said it's because I have too much laundry in there when obviously it was only half way full. She just walked away. When I asked to talk to her manager, she said no and proceeded doing what she was doing. This is the second time I have dealt with a broken machine here. I recently participated in a JLOEB (Junior League of Oakland-East Bay) volunteer event that took place at East Bay Laundry. As part of the event we worked with Bay Area Wilderness Training and washed and dried over 100 sleeping bags for youths that would be using them on camping trips. East Bay Laundry was very accommodating. It offers a large number of both large and small washing machines. We tied up about ten machines, but there were still plenty of machines for the other patrons to use. The large machines were also perfect for our large number of sleeping bags. The facility is very clean - throughout the day that we were there, the staff was constantly sweeping and cleaning. read more

I tried to use the dryer but it didn't work at first, I lost 50c so I was like ok and I called the lady to help, she touched something inside and told me put coin and it work then after 2 coin it went crazy again and I lost another 25c. I used to like coming here, but not after the service I had today. The door handle on the machine did not open after my laundry started. Told the attending worker but she she could not do anything until the boss arrives. I asked her when would her boss would come and she said she was not sure maybe around 4. After leaving the laundry, and returning at 4pm, the owner was still not there so my clothes were soggy wet inside the washing machine 4 hrs. I had to come back and I saw the owner and she did not even say sorry for the inconvenience. Everything is brand new since they open in September 2011. Bright lights, nice Oakland murals, nice marble counters, lots of laundry baskets and couple of video game machines. It has two separate restrooms for men and women. A lot of washers and dryers. The big dryer is $0.25 for 4 minutes which I feel they should add more minutes to it. I didn't know about it until I add a quarter in it and realize it drys only 4 minutes. It would be convenient that they should put a sign above the dryers to let people know about the big machine that is $0.25 for 4 minutes. The small dryers are $0.25 for 7 minutes. The washing machines ranges from small $2.25, medium $3.25, big medium $5.50 and largest $7.75. I have been here 3 times so far and usually I go do laundry in the evening. This laundry mat close at 10:00 pm. They start turning off the TV at 9:00 pm and start dimming some of the lights. If they are doing that. Why say close at 10:00 pm? They should say they close at 9:00 pm and last wash should be 7:30 pm. My husband and I think that was rude of them. We feel that we were being pressure to hurry up and leave because a man who vaccums the place at night. He would just stand near us and keep starring at us. It's not even 10:00 pm yet. It was 9:30 pm. I rather go to Woody's or Wash time Laundry Mat since the workers there have better manners. Also, if I'm running late at the other laundry mats.
