Then Saturday morning rolls around and my tenant says they hadn't showed up yet. I called, sent texts and got no response. As a result I had to look for another company last minute and now unfortunately my tenant has to wait another week for a different company to get out there. Very unprofessional!

Although Dennie wasn't available for our project dates, he sent us over to Ed to oversee everything. I was nervous, as I wanted everything to come out perfect and beautiful, but Ed was so courteous and professional that he put me at ease. He did a great job helping me to make a good flooring brand & color decision, and he put his best installer, Glenn, on our project, which turned out to be the highlight of our experience. Glenn did meticulously beautiful work and we were so happy with him. My husband says that sometimes you don't really know how reliable a company is until you see how they handle issues or mishaps. Well, a big issue came up near the end of our project, but they handled it with grace. In the end, we were charged fairly and left with absolutely beautiful flooring that completely transformed the look and feel of this home. I would happily refer both Ed and Glenn, and I would choose them without hesitation for any future projects. These guys are professional and good at their craft, but also really good people.

I believed that it was a better quote than I had received from a second company, so I decided to go Leon. I contacted him and we set a date unfortunately, Milton the hurricane interrupted us, so we had to postpone one week. However, they showed up on the date and time expected and completed the job in less time than originally thought necessary. I want to mention one of the workers Isadora, the only young woman on the crew she was their translator and very sweet the rest of the crew did not speak English but, their work spoke for them. If I had to do another remodel I would choose Nexus and Leon. I do believe Isadora deserves a little bit of a raise for being there translator, but that's just me LOL.

During this time, I learned that not everyone likes a do-it-yourself like me. Some even said I wanted, "free work." Not true! However, the current installed prices spoke to me. I grabbed my tools! Pulling a local permit as a home owner/builder in Florida, I installed a 2 ton (24k) ACIQ-24-HP32 condenser and ACIQ-24-AH32 air handler, and related mechanical. This system replaced a 26 year old 1.5 ton (18K) Trane XE-1000 condenser and TWGO18A air handler that was showing its age -- like me. One of my main hardware vendors, HVAC direct, patiently worked with me as I learned the new system requirements. With help from Isaiah Luke Appliance Repair to do the final commissioning of the system, the new ACIQ inverter system passed local inspection! The new system is a noticeably quieter and produces considerable heat split by comparison with the previous system. The fact that the ACIQ has a higher BTU rating, (24K) a higher seer rating (18), and yet uses smaller breakers, 30A down to 25A on the outside unit and 30 down to 15 amps for the inside unit and doesn't dim my lights when it runs, says it all.
