Our realtor referred us to Dennie at Gainesville CarpetsPlus to install LVP in a recent condo purchase. Although Dennie wasn't available for our project dates, he sent us over to Ed to oversee everything. I was nervous, as I wanted everything to come out perfect and beautiful, but Ed was so courteous and professional that he put me at ease. He did a great job helping me to make a good flooring brand & color decision, and he put his best installer, Glenn, on our project, which turned out to be the highlight of our experience. Glenn did meticulously beautiful work and we were so happy with him. My husband says that sometimes you don't really know how reliable a company is until you see how they handle issues or mishaps. Well, a big issue came up near the end of our project, but they handled it with grace. In the end, we were charged fairly and left with absolutely beautiful flooring that completely transformed the look and feel of this home. I would happily refer both Ed and Glenn, and I would choose them without hesitation for any future projects. So far, so good. Snappy sales service, they let me take the boards home to decide what color I wanted, and their prices beat the places up the street by enough to make me very happy. (buck a square foot on the exact same product too!) Backsplash tile ordered, will update once I get it. read more

I literally went in every store in Alachua County that sells flooring. This by far had the worse customer service. Yes, prior reviews guys just sitting at the desk. Not as knowledgeable as other stores. Will not buy from them! read more

We patiently waited 2 1/2 years before leaving a review of Gainesville Carpets Plus Colortile hoping this business would make their shoddy work and incomplete installation right. But we have given up. We contracted with them, through a general contractor, to refinish the wood floors in a home we were restoring and to install ceramic time and vinyl tile. The wood refinishing was a disaster, which the manager, Josh, admitted and agreed to fix, but he never did. There were spots all through the floor where wood filler had been smeared over blemishes but without the excess ever wiped away. Termite-damaged wood was left, where we paid to have it removed and replaced. Scratches are visible throughout. Dark smears are around every doorway. And trim we paid for around the fireplace was never installed. But Josh always had an excuse on why the timing to do the fixes was bad. Not only that, but the fix was going to be a nightmare for us. We would have to move out all of our belongings to clear the floor and we would have to move out for a week. We offered to settle for a refund of some of what we paid, but Josh refused. He kept insisting he would eventually fix the work. We asked the contractor recently to tell him that it's been so long that we really did want to get the work corrected, despite the inconvenience to our family, and despite having to board pets. Now, he is refusing even to do anything to fix the work. Wow read more

The cost to redo our master bedroom shower was reasonable, however, after agreeing to the amount and when the installers arrived late is when the problem started. The installers came out to install our tile shower, with all of their equipment in a Mazda 3 and three workers in it. I had confidence in their work because they are supposedly professional tile installers. Day 1 went great until I was informed that not enough tile was ordered and they used cardboard as dividers. Day 2, they didn't show up and I had to get on the phone with their boss in order to get them over. The tile work went really good, but they didn't disclose info that I needed to know in order to fix a few things with my flooring (aren't they experts? They sent over a really good guy to finish the job, but they failed to tell me that they broke my shower handle which cost me $150.00 to fix, plus an entire day to figure out. I had to install another value in order to repair it due to breaking it. I just took the hit on the cost and feel that writing this review will cost them way more than it cost me. I forgot to mention that the salesperson didn't order enough tile in the beginning which prolonged the job. I would give them a 1 but the guy who came and finished the tile did a good job. No I will never use them again, period. read more
