We were blown away by the breadth of selection for not only carpets and rugs, but all types of flooring, window treatments and textiles. This is one of the rare remaining non-chain places that clearly takes pride in both wide selection and customer service. We were greeted upon arriving by Paula, who was deftly handling a couple of other shoppers, and were thrilled she took the time to devote her attention to us so quickly. We came with room layouts with dimensions and a range for each room's rug type possibilities we'd already felt could work. Paula helped us zoom right in to both new roll and remnant possibilities quickly. We chose and sat down to work through the edge finishing options within minutes. The owner was circulating, answering questions, and we came to know that everyone around us had worked for him for a decade or more. Between the care taken by Paula and her teammates and the ease of the transaction, we confirmed how both the new roll and remnants would be cut and finished, and were connected with an excellent delivery service to bring our finished goods to the city. Not for a minute did we feel rushed or not completely looked after. Not only will the Carpetman see us again for both our East End and City-based needs, we've already urged others to go there who are in the market for rugs, flooring, window treatments and the like. They were extremely unprofessional, not careful to follow our clear instructions (meaning that most things had to be redone, putting us behind schedule with our clients) and did not have any sense of customer service. They went through two administrators in the brief time I worked with them, both of whom were very polite and efficient but unfortunately they don't seem to be able to keep that position filled. Rose Anne was always shrill with me and my office and when her lack of knowledge of upholstery and drapery terminology frequently resulted in a misunderstanding she became immediately and unnecessarily defensive, actually shrieking on the telephone on more than five occasions. Ultimately we were forced to collect at our own expense the furniture we had there for upholstery and take our business elsewhere. When calling around to other local businesses I was told that Rose Anne was notoriously shrill and impossible and they often got Hampton Interiors' former clients for that reason alone.

First he said - " don't pay me I'll pick up my equipment" 10 air blowers to dry a small area - he had already picked up all the carpet- a cement floor - it's dry - 10 air blowers I said your over doing the job Then he reduced his price $3,000 I said your ripping me off He acquiesced- gave another $1,000 off While I'm talking and waiting for his paperwork via email -he goes to my house - enters the house without permission or any supervision- alarm goes off and scurries to get his equipment. I called the police - TRESPASSING-I don't know what else is missing. Still waiting for credit Not a good man- not a good company- I guess he thought I was a pushover. I guess he thought - if it was insurance - he could get away with it. Terrible - they did come recommended- but I would tell past customers to check your bills.
