The campground is famous for its sold out annual Bluegrass festival yet it is gaining attention for its powwow events. It was very easy to find the campground. We went to the Five River Campgrounds for the Third Annual Powwow in Parsons in June 2025. It was the most meaningful pow wow I ever experienced. The owners of the campground (Joyce & John) gave the sales of the tickets to the powwow to the MMIW (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women) Memorial Grove. The non profit organization is involved in promoting awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Some of the performers gave their earnings to MMIW Memorial Grove as well. The Five Rivers Campgrounds owners welcomed us with open arms and immediately noticed us as photographers. We do a lot of philanthropic work in photography yet we rarely get noticed or thanked by many people for it. The owners of the campground were selling tee shirts and stickers with our photography. We had given permission to have our photography used to the performer we have taken the photo of and we were happy to see that he & the owners of the campground were displaying our photography on tee shirts and stickers in the campground shop. The campgrounds are beautiful with views of the mountain. Immediately staff helped us park and alerted us of the speed limit on the campgrounds. The powwow was held outdoors and there was an open air arena with a roof to provide shade. The stage in the venue had a shelter and a good view. You had to provide your own seating, yet we knew that beforehand. The fee for the pow wow was $10 for two days, and we captured the most memorable and beautiful photos we ever took on those days of performers in regalia against green foliage and the mountains. The powwow was small yet the amazing camaraderie and performers were unforgettable. This was one of the finest powwow venues in ambiance, performance, connections, and professionalism we ever experienced.

A really nice campground to stay at. We're mountain bikers and this campground was perfect for us…read moreto get to two different downhill parks - Bryce and Blue Mountain. We actually stayed two extra nights (and lucky for us, there was a cancellation - on 4th of July weekend!) Pros - Huge shaded, campsites available. No problem getting your big rig in there. 2 Clean bath houses with 3 showers and 3 bathroom stalls each. Immaculate grounds Pool Wonderful, friendly staff at the office. They are just so helpful and so pleasant. Ice cream treats and fire wood to purchase in office. Lovely hiking trails. A very cold swimming hole Really cool chimney stacks you can see without having to hike anywhere. Electric and water hook ups, picnic table and bonfire ring located on campsites. Pet and golf cart friendly Decent size playground for the kiddies Cons - Only one complaint. The showers in one of the men's bathrooms were not all working in one of the bath houses. Campsites are grass areas, so if it rains a lot, it will get saturated and mushy. However! The staff will move you to another available spot if that happens! Bonus! In conclusion, this is a very nice, very reasonable place to camp! It was so peaceful and all the campers were so friendly and we made a lot of new pupper friends We absolutely love this campground and will use it whenever we come to downhill up here. Nearest store is about 20-25min away. There is a very small, single pump, gas station/convenience store at the end of the road.
