Besides, who is going to have a clutch lever for a 50 year old motorcycle? Well, we called Arkport Cycles and they said they had a universal lever. When we got there, they had it waiting on the counter, all set to install. But of course it was not universal to the connections of 50 years ago, and I thought I was stranded 100 miles from home and my family road trip was ruined. That is where Traci, Ashley, and Jake stepped in. After trying several options and not finding a fit, Ashley mentioned that she had her own parts bike and may have one more lever to try. Well, with Jake giving guidance and having the full attention of both Traci and Ashley, against all odds the lever was a perfect fit and we were able to continue a very important ride. I have been riding for 60 years and have visited many motorcycle shops. There is not another one anywhere that would invest the time and empathy that these 3 people did. Despite being quite busy they never gave up, and I can never thank them enough. I highly, highly recommend this business

If you happen to find yourself broken down in bumfuck nowhere on your motorcycle, you're better off…read morewheeling yourself over to a local and asking them if they know anything about bikes than going here. They are scammers and don't care at all about whether or not your bike actually runs before sending you out the door, and will come up with the most ridiculous excuses on top of it. After spending 11.5 hours (allegedly) and $900, we still ended up with a bike that didn't run more than 10 minutes at a time. The supposedly brand new battery didn't hold a charge after running for over an hour. After FINALLY getting it back to Rochester and taking it apart myself, I'm even more sure these guys didn't even open this bike up. The gasket is still the original one on there from the 70's, which is listed on the invoice as "things they fixed". The invoice quotes an hour to change the oil. It doesn't even take an hour for me to change the oil in my car and I'm not a "professional" mechanic, let alone a bike a fraction of the size and volume. They clearly have no clue how to do anything with the fuel line because there was visible air and particles in it from the get go until I flushed it myself. Their excuse? I needed to FLUSH MY OWN FUEL TANK A COUPLE TIMES after they put tank liner in it. They did absolutely none of the work, just sprayed some starter fluid into the exhaust, kicked it up, and threw it out the door. On top of that, despite calling several times looking for a refund, they tell me that it's because my bike is old and it sat for the winter and they wouldn't consider a refund because "the work had been done." Not that they would actually ask the mechanic. They'll just look at what was quoted on the computer and call it. Don't waste your time on these small town, inexperienced, con artists. They have no accountability and can only speak to "what the invoice says in front of them." They make excuse after excuse, blaming their failings on employees they already fired. And if you take the time to explore their collection of antique and vintage bikes upstairs, do so with the knowledge that they acquired those bikes by overcharging their client so much that they couldn't afford to fix it. Or they flat out lied to them and told them that their bikes were "beyond fixable because they're old."

They sell Furygan gear here (and some other stuff like Alpinestars). But Furygan is what I like about it. Very high quality European racing gear. Top of the line stuff. And very hard to actually purchase online, at least stateside. I am temporary here, but I brought my bikes with me. An Aprilia RSV4 RF and a BMW S1000RR HP. Jeff did a great job removing the ignition from the RSV4 and installing a woodcraft keyswitch eliminator. He also did a full service on it, and replaced al fasteners and fairing bolts with lighter weight, red, iodized aluminum ones. Installed a weight reduced SHORAI lithium battery as well. By the time he was done, my RSV4 had not only been fully serviced, but had top quality parts installed, and probably lost about 20-30 pounds in weight. And we all know, less weight = faster bike. Because there is no BMW Motorrad or Aprilia dealers / techs in the WNY area, I take my machines to Moto Z, and I trust and recommend them, highly. Prices are very fair too by the way. And every now and then they get reserved spots for track days and invite customers to join. Highly recommend doing track days.

So when it came time to buy a New to me Harley we decided to go to them. When I decided to buy a 2002 Sportster that's when things got more than a little weird. The 14 or 15 year old put in charge of cleaning my bike walked up to me and said the bike was too hot to clean and was trying to get out of cleaning it. Cheryl apologized for the inconvenience and had it washed while we waited a few hours for it to happen. We leave with the bike. A few days later I notice it being sluggish and seemed to misfire. This is my first bike so i wasn't sure what it could be, only that i knew something wasn't right. I Immediately called Larry's to inform them that there must be an issue with it. I was informed by someone working there that the head mechanic would get ahold of me to talk about it. When i was contacted I tried explaining the issue to him. Before I could finish what I was saying I was told I didn't know what I was talking about and that it was fine and was put through the shop. So I let it go for a couple more days until the bike was definitely having a major issue. It was misfiring, back firing, and dying on the side of the road. I then talked to Wesley whom said he would talk to the shop and have someone call me. Well that day never came. Its now 10 months later and now has been too two HD shops to figure out the issue and have spent $600 at the last shop before today dropping it off at Arkport HD which who knows what it'll end up costing not to mention not being able to ride it no more than 100 miles and paying 4200 for a pile of metal before tax and tags. I LOVE my bike. But it's just a pile of metal at another shop that's going to continue to drain my pocket. Moral of the story DO NOT BUY HERE!!! Especially if you're a younger gal or guy, they will walk all over you with a pretty smile and then unleash their shop hounds to Harass you, blame you, and never fix the issue. I've had to bite my tongue to hold back tears with what this purchase has done to me financially and spiritually. I cannot believe they can still operate as a HD Franchise and treat people the way they do. Not even worth the one star it takes too make this review.

Love this location…read more I have been here many times for in-house events like the annual ladies night they host, and organized motorcycle rides like their Ride with Grace. I always end up buying something whether it's a just couple of motorcycle themed greeting cards, a few (or half a dozen, lol) new shirts for myself, gifts for other people like coffee mugs or the famous collectible Harley poker chips, or even a new pair of boots for my adult daughter who occasionally rides on the back of my bike. And bonus! I used the gift card I won at the ladies night last year to get her the boots ;) Most recently I had to go there to exchange a pair of boots that had a manufacturer's defect. The zipper separated from the boot 3 weeks after I bought them. That's weird because Harley boots are high quality and if you take care of them they will last you 10 years and more. I've never had a pair of Harley boots do that so this was definitely an anomaly But in typical Gowanda Harley fashion they took care of me without a problem and I left with a smile on my face. I did have to order the replacement pair of boots because they didn't have my size in stock but they called me as soon as they came in and got me in and out of there quickly. Do I recommend them? Yes. Will I go back and spend more money there? Yes. Is my husband having an anxiety attack at the thought of that? You betcha!
