    Cheese pizza with pineapple
    Michele H.

Yum!!! Finally, another good pizza spot that reminds me of pizza from back home (Chicago). I'm ready to make them one of my go-to options for pizza delivery. I tried a cheese pizza with pineapple (go ahead, tell me how disgusted you are, I don't care). Phenomenal. The crust to sauce to cheese to topping ratio is immaculate. They use a lot of cheese and I mean A LOT of cheese, just like pizza places back in Chicago do. The crust was crispy and crunchy with bits of cornmeal. They don't skimp on the sauce, which is what I have historically found with pizza in MN. I ordered through Door Dash which makes delivery kind of out of their control, but the pizza was ready and arrived on time and was still hot when I got it. So, kudos to the restaurant and Door Dash. Highly recommend. I can see why they have 2 locations. Wish I had known of them sooner.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality, taste, and crispiness of Eastside Pizzeria's pie. It was delicious with a nice crisp, but not burnt, crust with a good crunch. The sauce was just right, it had an abundance of cheese that was nicely browned, and the toppings were flavorful. I would definitely order from here again.

I live around the corner from Eastside Pizzeria and have ordered a lot from them over the last year or two and they have never disappointed me. The pizzas are great and they have the best burgers. The fries and onion rings are off the chart awesome. These guys do it right!

Had take out pizza here tonight. The clerk told us the pizza would be ready in 30 minutes. They were right on. The pizza was coming out of the oven as I came in. We ordered two pizzas and a side of rings. Everything was served hot. Fresh ingredients. Great taste and plenty of flavor. Plenty of cheese! The dine in area looks very nice. Not much on site parking. I would certainly return.

You will probably really like the ambience. It appears to have been built out of a lovely Victorian home in Dayton's Bluff, and there is plenty of upstairs seating including cute tables on the landings. There is also a very green patio. Friendly service tops it all off nicely. Their only not-open day is Tuesday, so bear that in mind. There is neighborhood street parking which you may have to hunt around a bit for. I really think you'll enjoy hanging out here!

However, it turns out the roll is just an easy way to get the frosting in your face. Omg. Delicious, buttery amazing frosting. (Which they did frost at the time of purchase). The place is small but they have an upstairs as well as a nice garden patios.

We both grew up in NYC's suburbs/ worked in manhattan until 2000 and then moved to VA MN FL and back to MN. The well discussed homeless situation we find in outstanding meticulous control by the very attentive St Paul Police who know the community on a first name basis. (Weekends you don't see them, and during the week only spotted. They never approach us.). I have worked with the impoverished communities in Harlem, Boston, Richmond, Va and Mn as a volunteer and a few full time positions in Boston. Catholic charities has done a REMARKABLE job supporting/effectively aiding the entire homeless community in the Twin Cities! As a result, we are very comfortable walking anywhere during the day and early evening. So with great joy we joined hundreds of others on St Paul's famous " Train Days" with family and grandson. Then we went to 1881 for a light lunch for the first time. They were happily packed, and all the diners were voraciously downing their meals for a considerable time. I saw a beautiful " fish and chips platter" and will definitely come back to try it for dinner. The setting, ambiance are stellar! The main majestic thrilling lobby of this venerable giant ELEGANT old train station-- more beautiful than NYC and Boston's but similar to those in the Canadian Rockies ( took the Canadian Pacific northern route in 1970 w 70 lb backpack fr Vancouver to Detroit... unforgettable). This majestic rare location....makes the dining experience unique and wonderous! We both had excellent martinis expertly prepared and their famous French onion soup and salads. Our family ate croissant sandwiches and a wonderful egg dish. Beautiful exhilarating awe inspiring places like this have almost completely disappeared all across the USA. Old world cooking and meticulous good delicious seasoning is also FAST disappearing. Places like this desperately NEED us to survive. HIGHLY recommend!!! Enjoy!

In terms of food, there is a mixture of Burmese, Thai, and Karen dishes, and each one that my friends and I have ordered has been a hit. The tea leaf salad has amazing texture because of peanuts and fried garlic, which provide crunchiness, and has amazing flavor because of lemon juice, fish sauce, and tomatoes. The noodle salad has a light taste without adding the given lime piece, and then the rich nutty taste gets evoked and elevated upon adding lime juice. The zaap crispy has very well-seasoned fried chicken pieces, and medium spice level gives it a good amount of flavor. The shan khao soi is so creamy and tasty that even tasting the curry broth itself is a sensational experience, and the chicken leg included literally has "fall off the bone" meat. The boat noodle has a mixture of sweetness and savor, while the sweet flavor does not overpower anything at all. Finally, the mohinga clearly has fish cake flavor and texture fully infused, making it authentically delicious. We also ordered the knyaw iced salad, which was a mixture of ice along with crackers and other types of sweet ingredients. I thought it was very similar to a type of Vietnamese dessert called chè ba màu (three color pudding), and fully enjoyed it. The establishment only had one dessert, and I thought that was sufficient. While the street contains many excellent restaurants, I personally believe that this establishment stands out in terms of taste. I must also mention that since my friends and I arrived when barely anyone else was there each time we had gone there, we never experienced any service delays that some have mentioned in their reviews. I probably will give this place a 5 rating anyway even if I experience slowness, although I hope I don't.
