Yum!!! Finally, another good pizza spot that reminds me of pizza from back home (Chicago). I'm ready to make them one of my go-to options for pizza delivery. I tried a cheese pizza with pineapple (go ahead, tell me how disgusted you are, I don't care). Phenomenal. The crust to sauce to cheese to topping ratio is immaculate. They use a lot of cheese and I mean A LOT of cheese, just like pizza places back in Chicago do. The crust was crispy and crunchy with bits of cornmeal. They don't skimp on the sauce, which is what I have historically found with pizza in MN. I ordered through Door Dash which makes delivery kind of out of their control, but the pizza was ready and arrived on time and was still hot when I got it. So, kudos to the restaurant and Door Dash. I've had their East Side pizza at a friends house. It was delicious, so I ordered some appetizers when I went to the restaurant on a Friday evening. Service was very slow and there was a great deal of chaos. They offered me a beverage while I waited, which was nice. The appetizers seemed just OK to me. I don't know what the circumstances were. They worked hard to fulfil my order. But the end result was unimpressive. I'll stick with the pizza next time. read more

Had take out pizza here tonight. The clerk told us the pizza would be ready in 30 minutes. They were right on. The pizza was coming out of the oven as I came in. We ordered two pizzas and a side of rings. Everything was served hot. Fresh ingredients. Great taste and plenty of flavor. Plenty of cheese! The dine in area looks very nice. Bait & switch prices, beware you will pay $5-$10 more than the menu shows. Food is OK, sometimes pretty good. But ordering is a s#t show and the time to get order is a gamble, every single time. Worst part is they lie about prices. Just charge you $2-$3 more per item and refuse -- refused for the last 4 months -- to update the menu online or printed. I get they increased prices but they lie about it. AFTER they charged my card they promised to fix it. They never did. East Side Pizza keeps just lying about it. Ordered online a two pizza special for pickup. Got home, and one of the pizza's had green peppers instead of green olives. After trying to contact them via email-2x with a picture and phone, I still never received a response. So disappointing, because this was a convenient location and had never let me down before. First and ONLY time ordering from them. Took an hour and 45 minutes to deliver a pizza, wings, and onion rings. Then the delivery driver goes to the wrong side of the apartment (even though they were told when I called them an hour into waiting for my meal that he needs to go to the other entrance) and he tries to cuss me out because he doesn't get a big tip?? What a joke. Terrible service, would never order from this place again. The appearance of the pizza place was horrible. There were several employees in and out of the kitchen. Most of the staff in and out of kitchen did NOT have uniform t-shirts on. The employees were continously going outside to smoke cigarettes leaving the restaurant with only 1 employee in there. I was there for 20mins and the things I observed including the restaurant needing a good sweeping, mopping and appeared unsanitary. I will NO LONGER be ordering pizza here. Eastside Pizzaria defines mehh. The restaurant is dirty as hell!!! The ordered corn dog was burnt to inedible. Returned to the counter as the waitress was absent to the only table in the place. We soon learned they were outta corndogs, mozz sticks, wings and any other thing outside pizza and burgers. The pizza tasted like a "pretty good" convarbelt pizza, yet they use deck ovens. Took the family here on a cold wintery night because we were craving some buffalo wings and good ole american food. We dined in, this is our 1st time eating in here. This is their 2nd location. The atmosphere here is calm and the people here are nice and welcoming. The restaurant has several booths and tables enough to fit bigger families. The restroom is clean. Service and food, the waitress was attentive and came and got our drink orders swiftly. She did tell us about the eat in special, large 2 topping and wings? for 19.99. Couple minutes later we recieved our drinks and put in our order. Buffalo wings, cajun plum wings, side order of fries, onion rings, large shrimp basket with fries, full rack of ribs with italian fries. Told you we were hungry. The food didn't take that long to come out. Maybe 8-10 mins for the apps to start coming out. Everything that we ordered was piping hot and tasted great! The wings were full and flavorful, the fries are seasoned with something that make you go "woah" that's good. Onion rings were okay not bad. Shrimp was battered and fried, it was good also. The rack of ribs! It was MEATY and moist. I would order this again! Everyone has their own taste to "ribs" but i found mine on the EASTSIDE of St. Paul. The price is NOT bad for dinner for 5 here! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in dire of pizza/wings/burgers and other great selections. I beleive this place is ran by a family. The pizza was so good! I ordered on a last minute decision and I'm so glad I did! The sausage was fresh, not the processed kind that chains tend to use. The amount of cheese was fantastic! And the original crust was crunchy and crisp. I'd call this old school St. Paul style pizza...definitely a classic. Our delivery came by Slice, like Doordash but just for pizza, and they did great. I always go to restaurants two times before leaving a review. The first time I went I had a very nice man serving my friend and I. He was very attentive and always came back to check on us. We ordered the 12 for $9.99 chicken wings! With french fries. Both of our drinks were free! Our total was like 15 bucks! We left satisfied. I just went again today with my brother. It was around 1:30ish and the wait was not long. Our food came out at about 1:45ish. Once again the service was amazing! Ricky (I think that's his name) was very attentive and kind to us. It was my brothers first time and he enjoyed it! He lives in St. Paul so it's a plus for him! I'm going to keep recommending this place. It's nice and clean. Just moved to the neighborhood. Was going to order pizza from known-quanity Carbone's but stunned to find the local store doesn't deliver. Ordered from Eastside instead, very disappointing. People were very nice, but pizza was the most boring I ever remember tasting. Sauce was flavorless, crust had no character. Only thing tasty was the sausage. Loved the old place delivery spot on maryland ave, but the new delivery spot on Payne always geta my order wrong. Ive ordered burgers from here countless times and everytime I do ask for everything on it. I also specify all the ingredients. The last 4 times they have not had any of them. Got delivery, so haven't been in the building. First off, the delivery was very fast. They said 45 minutes to an hour, and it ended up arriving within about 30 on a Friday evening. We got some ribs, a pizza, and the dago (I think it was called)? Overall, the food was good. The ribs were nice, but the fries with it were fairly soft and seemed a little undercooked. The dago was tasty, but was mostly just a slab of Italian sausage with marinara and cheese; any bread in there was basically mush. The pizza was fine. The crust was nice, but I just wish they'd cut some of their toppings a little smaller; if I get something with sausage on it, I don't want meatballs basically sitting on there. In terms of value, it was okay. Obviously these small shops can't compete with the large ones offering $7 large pizzas and whatever, but I did feel they were a little on the high end, but nothing completely out of the ordinary. Worth checking out, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend it to anyone. read more

East side pizza has good ribs, sometimes. What I mean is, sometimes they're good, sometimes they're over-cooked, sometimes they're under-cooked, and sometimes, make that many times, they are out of stock on their ribs. Once, being out, ok, they can be pretty good. Twice, maybe you get an unexpected rush. However, in my dealings with them, 6 out 10 times they are out of stock on their ribs. The ribs are tied for the most expensive item on the menu, and they don't keep the proper levels. It's either poor management, lazy staff not wanting to cook them, or incompetence. Tonight was my very last time trying to order anything from East Side pizza. Good luck to you on getting what you want from them. read more
