Finally! We made it in last night and finally tried their Philly cheesesteak. It was absolutely amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've tried disappointing Phillys across MN - we really need to get our act together. This sandwich broke the chain of disappointment. The sandwich itself was loaded with meat and peppers. They weren't stringy with their cheese either. I did get the cheese wiz on the side because I don't like that. The bun itself was toasted but still chewy. As I wrote this I'm salivating. That good! My bestie and I also tried the buffalo chicken sandwich - it was good, but honestly I don't remember tasting any buffalo sauce - it looked like a standard grilled chicken patty. Compared to the Philly - not an option for me, but I understand not everyone enjoys Philly sandwiches. The seasoned fries were alright, but I'll be back in the future for the Philly specifically. Got to try Dominick's food truck a few weekends back. Loved that the Philly's were packed with flavor and juicy. I've had places that have dry philly's but not here. I must say it was a little difficult to order multiple things where for a meal the Philly and fries came on seperate trays. I wish the meals were provided on a bigger tray, plate for easier transport. I did like that the portions were very filling and they were not stingy on the fries. Not sure what the sauce was that came with the fries but it was a bit too salty/ seasoned for me. Service was reasonable for how busy they were and that the food came out fresh. Ordered a cookie, small philly pizza, Dom's philly cheesesteak, french dip, gyro, fries and onion rings for to go. Got home and was excited to try out all the food. Unfortunately, the small philly pizza was missing. Such a bummer. I really wanted to try that. Fries were ok. I personally love the battered or cajun style fries. Gyro was good! Cheesesteak and french dip tasty! I got the 6 inch. Onion rings were great! I love the battered style. Cookie ok. Not the best I've had. I read reviews saying it's such a great cookie. I think it's ok. I prefer more buttery, with ridges...something like a Levain cookie which is about $4 or $5. I would say overall meal was good but could be better with pricing, which I thought was a bit steeper in terms of quanity of food. For example, a cheesesteak at Tono's is bigger and cheaper. 1 cookie for $3.99 is a bit spendy as it's not up to par to say a Levain cookie. I wanted to try it and can now say I have. Location in a gas station. Too bad they forgot my pizza. I would have liked to try it, but the drive back there was about 25 mins so I didn't have time to swing back. read more

This did not disappoint!! Located in Inver Grove Heights, and very close to Eagan. Parking is good as they have their own lot. They are known for their hoagies and pizzas. I had a really good experience. April Pizza Special - Brisket BBQ Brisket BBQ ,Mozzarella, cheddar, drizzle of BBQ sauce, pickled onions, & fresh green onions. This was delish and I wouldn't mind if it was on the regular menu because I'd get it again. Plain Philly Cheese Steak - Thinly-sliced steak or chicken, Swiss-American cheese and a swipe of mayo. Loved the bread. Chicken Bacon Ranch - Chicken, bacon, ranch, cheddar and mayo on a hoagie bun. Stromboli- i did a build your own with chicken , peppers, and banana peppers. It was delish! What a hidden gem! This is a lunch staple for me. Their classic Philly is one of the best I've ever had, but I've yet to try something here that I haven't enjoyed. Their wings are good; they're breaded and seasoned, so a little different than a "standard" wing, but I actually really like them. Their pizza is also a win, I just wish they sold individual slices over lunch time! Everyone who works there is always super friendly and nice! Don't let the exterior fool you, this tiny but mighty spot has some amazing sandwiches and scratch made pizzas. The Philly was gooey in the best way possible and served on crunchy but airy bread. The Italian sandwhich could be made hot and again the toasted bread held a great assortment of veggies,cheese, and meat. Finally the pizza was a hit. Dominick's has one of the best Philly cheesteaks in Eagan/Inver Grove Heights. It's a total hole-in-the-wall shop with 5 tables to eat at. I called ahead and ordered the Original Philly Cheesesteak with a side of french fries and seasoned sour cream. My order was ready on time and by the time I got it home, the Philly was still piping hot! The bread is baked locally daily (love that!) and the meat is tender and delicious. We must have driven by here a hundred times and never noticed it. On a whim we stopped in. They have a small seating area. Order at the counter and have a seat. Plenty of parking too. Service is excellent and a lot of our fellow diners were regulars. The Original Philly was very good - you will need several napkins. The onion rings were excellent. My husband ordered the Meat Combo pizza and it was good. He just prefers a different type of crust. Next time he said he will order the Stromboli. Great place - stop in. read more

The Works Stromboli was absolutely fabulous. So delicious. The Italian sausage was the best ever. Also tried a gyro w/lamb. So very tender and flavorful. Sauce was just perfect!! Brett the GM, was awesome. The whole kitchen staff rocked the menu. He informed us what was their specialities. Unfortunately they were out of the Philly Steak Cheese sandwich, but we will definitely be back to try. This place is a gem in the rough. This spot is super unassuming - located at a gas station it's really no-frills and such a hidden gem. They have one of the best Philly cheesesteaks I've had in the twin cities. The bread they use is spectacular. They have classic pizzas, Stromboli, and a variety of sandwiches and salads. The price point is very reasonable for the portion sizes! First off, I'm so disappointed in myself for not finding Dominick's earlier. I've lived in Eagan for 30+ years and last Friday was the first time I ordered. I ordered a large pepperoni, mushroom, and green olive pizza and it was fantastic!! The crust--fantastic! The sauce--fantastic!! I can't wait to order again. I officially have a new favorite pizza place in IGH. This place has been on my go to list for years. Why did I wait so long!? I really appreciate the dough and can tell they hand make this every day. The sauce is a little sweet but the ratio with the cheese is a great balance. Not floppy or soggy like most other pizzas, especially square cut places. I found this place by scrolling through Facebook one day. It's only 8 minutes from my work so decided to give it a try. It's sort of tucked away at the end of the road next to a gas station which kind of threw me off. It's a very small restaurant attached at the end of a small strip mall. A little sketch, but don't be alarmed! It's just as small inside as it is outside. I walked in at first and didn't know what to do because there's a wall blocking the seating space and register. Once I nearly tripped going into the entry way, I found someone preparing my pie. She took care of me pretty quickly and before I could snap any photos I was out the door. As mentioned the seating area is quite small. Maybe like 3-4 tables the rest is restaurant. They seem to make a variety of foods from pizza, sandwiches, burgers and a few desserts. The veggie pizza I got was delicious. Difficult to eat as the toppings and cheese fell right off. I was able to eat it with a fork and knife. Very generous with the toppings and very cheesy, just the way I like it. The cold leftovers were just as good. I'd like to visit this place again to try other plates! But until next time! read more

Dominick's pizza Inver Grove Heights review. Stopped in yesterday after the Twins victory over the Dodgers! I ordered a 14" Works pizza which is sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, and onions! I added extra sauce. I was talking to the gal making my pizza and she just so happened to be the new owner of the establishment. She then asked me if I'd be ok with a 16" pizza instead, as she had mistakenly sauced a larger crust than needed. Boom!! I'm ok with that!!!! We'll start off with the crust, it was kinda soft and pliable towards the middle, and more firm and lightly crispy as you got out towards the edge, and the flavor was good. The sauce was pretty tasty and the right amount (with the extra) for my taste. Toppings were plentiful and fresh. Cheese was mozzarella, and way way way more than I prefer. Price was $28.65 with tax for a 14" (pic is 16") This pie was heavy, and you can see by the picture that it really had a hard time fitting in the box. I'd put this pizza in the good plus range! I'd say it's an ok value, as I only ate 2 fresh pieces and I was full. And new to my reviews I'm also going to rate the next day taste, aka (breakfast leftovers) as I think that's an important quality, as I always have some left. I microwaved one piece for breakfast this morning, and again I would rate this good plus. I haven't tried it cold. Not sure what happened. Pizza that we normally get a few times a year tastes much different, not in a good way. Normally consistently great but this last order was kind of bad. We actually threw it out after a couple pieces. Sauce tasted like ketchup and cheese was way different. Maybe they switched vendors or something. I got excited when this place was recommended to me because of how much I love Philly cheesesteaks. While the cheesesteak was good, I wouldn't say it is the best around. Definitely not anything I would go out of my way for. I honestly think Jersey Mike's cheesesteak is slightly better. I think it's all in the bread. Minnesota and Philly cheesesteak. Iconic duo? The next Brangelina? Does not compute? It's definitely something I never sought out in Minnesota, but was pleasantly surprised to find a great philly located near a gas station, of all places. Dominick's Pizza may be named for its pizza, but make no mistake: they make an amazing Philadelphia cheesesteak as well. I can't attest to their pizza, or the multitude of other things they offer on their menu, but their philly is pretty damn good! The steak on the philly is deliciously juicy, and melt in your mouth tender. They definitely didn't skimp on the cheese either, and thank god I'm not lactose intolerant. Even if I were, I'd gladly take a lacticaid because the sandwich is worth it. I ordered a full, but I almost couldn't finish it with how much meat is loaded in that sandwich. I also decided to make it a meal, and try out their fries with a side of seasoned sour cream. The seasoned sour cream almost tastes like a sriracha mayo, weirdly enough, but it was definitely super rich, and I'd recommend it again. The fries were huge and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and they provided a lot as well. Service is pretty speedy and friendly as well. If you're thinking of coming here, be aware of the large portion size to avoid ordering too much and stuffing yourself. Dominick's Pizza is a place that's easy to miss, tucked near a gas station on a lonely highway. But the quality of their Philly cheesesteaks makes this a place you shouldn't miss out on. read more
