I want to start this review by saying I started coming to this smoke shop because my dad has been…read morecoming here for a while. My experience has been great so far up until today. I purchased 2 vapes yesterday, 6/21 and one of the ones I bought stopped working after I used it for about 10 or so hits. I figured it's quite common since these things do break from time to time. I came back looking to exchange for a new one, since it stopped working not due to my negligence but faulty equipment. And the brand of device I was trying to exchange has a clear tank on it so you can see how much e liquid is left. Like I said, I used it for about 10 or so hits so it's literally full. The worker told me that since I used it, I can't exchange it because it's my fault it broke. He reiterated the fact that these devices, or this particular brand "doesn't break". He asked me questions like, "did you drop it" or "what did you do". So he let me know he'd give me a discount if I wanted another one. Keep in mind, I've been coming here every week and spending $50-100 every visit for the better part of 6 or so months. My dad comes here every week and spends the same. I figure since I am a customer who comes so frequently and spends close to $200 a month here, they would accommodate a replacement for me. Instead, he smirked in my face as if I were lying to him about the device breaking. This place didn't just lose 1 loyal customer, but multiple due to this instance. I could easily afford another pod/vape, but the customer service was unacceptable. Below you'll find a picture of the device I have for reference, the pod pictured is an old one but just wanted to give reference as to what I'm talking about. Safe to say, we will never be coming back here. Many other places you can choose from.

When they moved to The Alameda, I still enjoyed the selection and the staff but I never felt comfortable hanging out in the lounge area. Donna always made me feel welcome in her shop, though. At the latest location, under Craig's ownership, I feel truly welcome and comfortable. It's such a nice store with an impressive selection. Then you add the comfortable outdoor lounge and the spacious indoor lounge and it is like a paradise! We only visit San Jose a few times a year and when we do, we try to find time to enjoy the space. This weekend, we visited on a Saturday. They had my favorite cigar (Tabernacle broadleaf double corona) and my husband and I secured comfortable chairs in the indoor lounge. It was a smaller crowd but just like last time, everyone said hi to us and as new regular customers arrived, they also greeted us. We met some new people, including Craig the owner, and had a lovely time reading (me) and watching sports. You think this place couldn't get any better but wait! They also have a sparkling clean bathroom. I'm already looking for another reason to travel to San Jose.
