Service went out 18 times on 05/11. Service has been in and out on 05/12. Horrible excuse for a company.

Called after receiving a handful of late charges months ago. Verified with my bank that a check had been sent for the full amount owed months before. Receptionist claimed check never received and would not budge on the late fees, which I do not have a problem with if they never received the check... but... Today I receive the refunded amount in by checking account after having paid all of the false late fees. So either USPS is taking months to deliver mail 1.5 miles across town, or East Texas Cable found, cashed, and then refunded my payment that would have avoided the late fees without repaying those late fees that came after said payment because of its mishandling. Either way, still waiting to hear back and ET Cable still has my paid late fees after returning my on-time payment that would have avoided them... read more

ZERO. They are gone, replaced by ZITOMEDIA.COM that is just as bad, Internet keeps going down, or very slow and cannot get anyone to come and fix it for over a year. Called and Emailed but not fixed. Getting unbearable and paying them every month for intermittent service. Terrible!!! read more

Terrible internet provider. It is slow and goes offline frequently. 90% of the time you call, you get their answering service. We have been without Internet for a week and they still don't know what the problem is. The "part" came in and it solved the problem for 70 out of the 100 that were down. It's still two more days before they can come see us. It's the only wire based service in the city. The only other alternatives are satellite or radio based. Ugh... read more

Canton needs AT&T u-verse or something else. This is terrible. Always causing issues & never working.

On par speed and reliability with any other small town cable company. Great customer service and fast response times to any outages they have. No it isn't as fast as the larger companies in other towns but they make the best of what they have to work with like any other small company. read more

Excellent information on the telephone and the answering service after business hours always answers and I get a call back. The installer technicians are personable, polite, and professional. They listen when discussing what and where the installation goes and explain operation and capabilities the service so I can understand it. The high speed internet is great. The streaming works even when the grandkids are over and we all want to watch something different on Netflix. We have had very few interruptions even during storms except when the tornado hit Van or Lindale. Even then service was restored the same day. I recommend the internet and the cable especially if you enjoy watching netflix, amazon, or WiFi game streaming. read more

you're better off getting satellite, even for Internet. Customer service is horrible the woman who answered the phone for the message service is rude and disrespectful and the " techs" they send out are mouth breathing idiots who tell you that they getting brand new stuff every time you see them read more

ETC has a monopoly in Canton. Calling the office for trouble shooting is useless. Web site is useless. They have no email in which to correspond and they are the Internet provider.., really? To expense for level of service. No method for on-line bill pay. Installers are barely trained. String wire without adding splitters so rooming on the end of wire gets crappy connection even though it could be one of the closer rooms to pole. Upgrade of equipment desperately needed! read more

Horrible customer service , wont answer phone either message saying major outage or goes to customer service. Deny that there is any issue, just tell me to "reboot modem" have had this service for 4 years I cancelled my dish when I originally got East Texas cable but after several months I got Dish back and cancelled East Texas Cable- cable was down all the time, phone quality is very poor called their tech support they keep telling me there shouldn't be an issue but everyone I have conversation with cannot hear me, have bought several types and quality of phones still same their office says they are not aware of any issues must be something on my end. Even if their tech support or Technicians tell you there is a major issue why I have not had consistent internet and phone for over 9 days The office is unaware of any issues and doesn't understand why they would tell me that. read more

im happy with east texas cable, no issues so I don't understand why all the bad reviews??? my internet runs great so does my cable every company will have their service knocked out by storms or a wreck, but that's normal !, im happy. read more
