I was paired with Dr. Mark, and from the first visit, I knew I was in good hands. My experience began with computer-measured range of motion tests and x-rays, which made me feel a bit like a science project, but in a good way. Dr. Mark went over every detail with me, explained what he saw, and laid out a plan that made sense. He asked for my thoughts, checked my comfort level, and didn't just nod politely while thinking of lunch. He actually listened. During each session, Dr. Mark continues to explain exactly what he is about to do and why. This may sound simple, but it builds a kind of trust that is rare in medicine. I have also been treated by Dr. Steve twice when scheduling required a switch, and his professionalism and calm manner left me equally reassured. It has now been a bit over six weeks since I first hobbled through their door. I can move like a human being again. After twelve visits, I was retested and showed significant improvement. Dr. Mark suggested reducing visit frequency to maintain progress rather than overselling more appointments, which says something about his integrity. Dr. Moriah was not there the day I wanted to go in. So, I saw someone else. I was, at the time, not in any particular pain. I've had neck injuries in the past and decided that I should try to get the problems actually fixed and not just go to the chiropractor when I'm in extreme pain or immobile. He was very nice and paid a lot of attention to me. However, I really felt like his adjustment did more harm than it did good. I'm pretty well versed in what a positive chiropractic adjustment feels like and this was not positive. When he adjusted my neck he seemed to lose his grip, so my neck didn't adjust. He quickly tried to do it again, but my neck muscles were already incredibly tight from the failed attempt, so it just hurt even more. Then I went to have the shock therapy and lay on the table with the rollers on it. The shock machine was fine, but while laying on the roller table, I noticed that I now had a sharp pain in my SI joint that I hadn't noticed before my adjustment. I mentioned it to him on my way out, and he was very kind and put me back on the table to try to put it into place, but it didn't seem to help at all. I guess I have to keep searching for a good chiropractor in the area.
