High quality, the dentistry is heaven for kids, you walk in there are toys for kids to feel welcome, books for parents to feel good, pictures of old Burbank, pretty interesting for few minutes of wait, the staff is professional efficient yet friendly, TV for babies on the ceiling... kids can choose their favorite cartoon, after the dentist appointment they get rewarded with the cutest toys to choose from and stickers... I get emotional every time I go there thinking how lucky my little baby girl is to experience this. Also I needed paperwork for her preschool, the front desk asked me to email them and they emailed it back within an hour. vs (with other Dr office took traveling to Dr office and took them 10 days) I am so so so thankful for all the thoughtfulness to make the dentist experience exceptional! We live in Burbank, but after a series of bad, borderline traumatic local experiences, we ended up at a dentist about 45 minutes away who seemingly only had appointments available at like 10:30 am, never after or before school, which meant we were always missing almost half a day of school/camp. Not such a big deal in elementary, but once we got to middle school, I looked to see if any better options had popped up closer to home. I'm so glad I found this practice! Scheduling was easy to do online, they had a wider range of appointment times available, the staff is friendly and easy to deal with and the office has a pleasant, relaxed vibe. You don't feel like you're on a conveyor belt or they're trying to hustle you out the door. We've been to two appointments and have only met Dr. Norman so far, but his bedside manner was great and best of all, he actually read all our intake info and knew exactly what was going on. Oftentimes, you answer a million questions on those intake forms, only to end up repeating everything verbally to the doctor, which is frustrating. But Dr. Norman came in having done his homework which made the whole appointment feel better and more productive. Parking is easy and free in the structure on Orange Grove. read more

My toddler had his first dental visit today with Dr. Norman and we had a great experience. The office is clean and nicely decorated. There are nice toys in the waiting room and coffee and cold brew for the parents. The office staff were very nice and welcoming. Dr. Norman was very patient with my 2.5yr old and explained everything to us. The exam and cleaning were very fast and painless. My child got to pick out a cute toy, we took a Polaroid to document the first visit and then the office staff explained what to expect for billing. I also appreciated that the office is paperless and I was able to complete the new patient forms prior to arrival. The text reminders for the appointment were also very helpful. Took my daughter to East Valley Children's Dentistry today and it was well worth the wait for finding the right kid's dentist. Parking worked out very nicely in the nearby garage, and upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the very nice receptionist. The office has a very modern and comfortable vibe, which is suitable for both children and adults. There's a nice play area in the front which kept my daughter occupied. Moving towards the back, we entered a very clean room where we saw TVs on the ceiling and a bench where I could sit. After the appointment, my daughter chose her prize and sticker. It is so hard these days to find trustworthy dentists, especially ones who show caring and gentle treatment towards our children. I've been taking my son to this dentist office since they opened. This place is amazing. The front desk is always cheerful and helpful, honestly the best front desk staff I've dealt with. I wish other medical and dental offices would require the same from their staff. Other offices it feels like I'm bothering the front desk, but these guys are amazing. We have seen both husband and wife dentist and Dr. Padi. All so kind and gentle and helpful. My son is about to be 15 and still wants to be going to this "children's" dentist so you know it's good. Totally a great place from the moment I called for 2nd opinion. Sam in front office kept us informed and text throughout our first appointment. We got greeted with being welcomes. Dr Cat put at ease and super friendly with Emma. Her X-ray tech did amazing job to help my daughter get the best pictures. We gone two others who just couldn't get the X-rays done. Twenty minutes late on a full schedule on a Saturday, and we have 4 kids-a teenager, a 4th grader with a history of dental trauma (which Dr. Norman, Dr. Padi and his associates have all helped with), and twin preschoolers. Any other office would have looked at us straggling in (thought NOPE) and just rescheduled lol. Got educated, of course, on the fact that we were late and that they might not accommodate to all of our children, but that's normal and the office staff was only being realistic and mindful of other clients' schedules. What's amazing is that they STILL accommodated to ALL of our children's dental needs. Even on a fully-booked schedule, including two new incoming families (and it takes time to assess and approach the admission of new clients), the staff still took us in and Dr. Norman and his team were able to time-manage brilliantly with the cleanings, x-rays, polish and thorough discharge education. We've been coming to them since the first year they opened up, and we have to tell you that even though their service was always good, think they got even better :). This might be my favorite review I get to make on yelp. We've been going to East Valley Children's dentistry since my daughter was two. Every experience has been so great. Dr. Norman found a few cavities in my daughter's teeth at our most recent visit. Since she's still pretty young, they mentioned a non invasive way to treat them. I felt so bad, but the whole staff educated me on sdf. I had so many questions and Sam, at the front desk did such a good job calming my anxieties by just being so kind and answering almost all of them. If he wasn't able to, he'd asked Dr. Norman and then he would call me back. I appreciated that too because I never felt the need to get a second opinion anywhere else. I truly trusted their knowledge and especially their *empathy. When the day came for the sdf application, Valerie was the dental assistant~ my daughter absolutely loved her! She had full on conversations with her, and my daughter never once felt nervous about her appointment because of that. Once Dr. Norman showed up, he addressed all my concerns again and reassured me. He wanted to make sure I felt comfortable before he got started. The application of sdf was very quick, before I knew it they were done! Seriously, I will never take my daughter to any other pediatric dentist other than East Valley Dentistry. Also, I should add that my daughter is hyperactive, but since going here regularly~ she's been able to stay still and follow directions really well. Their whole staff is just so amazing and they truly care for the children's teeth. The biggest thing for me is their empathy they have for the kids and for the parents. Second, their practice is soooooo cuhyt! My son enjoyed the hexagon mural, montessori-esque vibes, and free toys (I mean, crinkly bag that his free toothbrush and toothpaste came in). I could say a number of things, but the most important thing was they treated us like family. Nadine, was sooo nice! Bubbly, helpful and patient... I know, am I talking about office staff?? YES. They even personalize the door with a welcome to all the patients for the day. I also appreciated empathy and time, from the dr. We had previously gone to another pediatric dentistry office prior to this but over the years we started having worse and worse experiences there, with the doctors seeming to care less each time we went there. My wife and I are not very demanding, but we do like to ask questions to make sure we are taking care of our daughter's teeth the best we can. The moment we stepped into East Valley's office, we felt very welcome. There was a simple touch of writing our daughter's names on the front door to welcome them to the "family". I made an appointment to take my grandson to his first dentist appointment, a requirement to start TK, everything was going smoothly until the receptionist asked if he had insurance. I said No, dental insurance, but he has MediCal but I'm sure you don't take it, I'm planning on paying for his appointment anyway. She said they only accept MediCal patients under 3, and since he's 4, he's too old. I said no problem, I'm paying cash for his appointment. She said because I told her he had MediCal, my grandson could no longer be a patient. So, learn from my mistake, don't mention MediCal if you want to go to this dentist. They are also not accepting new MediCal patients 3 and under incase you are wondering. read more

EVCD was my granddaughter's and grandson's first dental experience and I am glad it was. Today was my granddaughter's 6th visit. She is almost 5 years old. She is a bit hyper sensitive and Doctor Norman and assistants have been incredibly patient and gentle with her from the start. She went from throwing tantrums because she was scared on her first two visits to now cheerfully walking into her dental appointments. Doctor Catherine has been my grandsons dentist and she has been amazing as well. All the staff make you feel so welcomed the moment you walk into their beautiful kid friendly aesthetic clean office.
