They're wonderful here! My daughters really enjoy going to the dentist. They're incredibly patient and understanding with my girls. Since I have three kids, they're always so accommodating to get all three in for back-to-back appointments. It's such a convenience and a huge help. DR. ZINNIA WAS THE BEST!! Very caring and super sweet! Her front office staff was always rude and unprofessional but my girls were happy to see the train in the lobby. Unfortunately she sold her practice and the new dentist (Dr. Toopchi) will not share that information in order to keep her patients. Be ready for the push for additional unnecessary (she says everything is necessary) sealers/teeth whitening and other procedures at extra cost that are not covered. read more

I went their last Tuesday May 15 and I made appointment with the front desk and she took my insurance card to make a copy and said my appointment on May 20th at 10 am but I didn't get a phone call to confirm so, I called them but they said we don't have any appointments till July. If she doesn't want to service me why did she took information and said I have appointments and I understand my English is not good but we can figure it out and ask what I want to do. My first time to make appointment with this place with Asian lady was nice and good attitude but the lady last week had a bad attitude about my English. I use money to pay to get service. I didn't go there for free service. The reason why I want to go to this place because my pediatrician recommend me this place is really good but it's not good at all because of the front desk bad attitude and bad service. MAGNIFICENT! That is a simple word to describe the overall experience at th Dr. Zinnia Carlos Regala's office. Clean, professional and excellent for little ones. I will recommend them everywhere. We had Dr. Sofise Chen and she was great. So was the rest of the staff. Our girls Samantha and Sophia were at ease from the moment they arrived till the moment they left. We have dealt with this practice for years. The lady at the front desk has the worst attitude. She needs to take a customer service class. I was overcharged $200 because they failed to run it through insurance and it took forever to get my money back. In addition, The work that is done is low quality as they did a filling on my child, then they had to do another filling, then the tooth had to be extracted by another dentist. We take extremely good care of our child's teeth however I believe this office is negligent due to low quality work. read more

She wanted to put my daughter under anesthesia for a filling. She said my 4 year old was being uncooperative. I was in the room too. They thought she was soooo cute on the laughing gas and didn't get to the job at hand in a timely manner. Yes, after some time my daughter was ready to leave. She didn't fight or cry. The doctor should have just insisted that she had to finish. Instead Dr. Zinnia smeared a temp across several teeth and told me anesthesia was necessary. The front office staff told me it would be an additional $800 and didn't provide any other information. When I balked at the $800 price tag in person, not liking the idea in general, the office lady folded the paperwork and put it in the trash!! When I called back with questions they said they gave me an information packet. I had to explain that their own staff out in the trash right I front of me!! I consulted with my pediatrician. They said no child should need anesthesia for a filling. So we found another dentist who not only did the job with out extreme medical measures, but also cleaned up the smears left on other teeth by Dr. Zinnia. read more

Dr. Zinnia Regala is a wonderful dentist. My son has been a patient of hers for over 8 years. After many bad experiences at another pediatric dentist office, we were in search of another dentist. Dr. Zinnia was highly recommended and has met all of my expectations. Her pediatric dental knowledge and expertise is apparent. She really takes the time to make the kids understand their dental health and at the same time feel safe and comfortable. Dr. Zinnia makes a regular check up, filling a cavity and extracting a tooth not such a bad thing. Her staff is amazing too. They are always very attentive to the kids. We love Nora. I love the fact that after the kids have a dental procedure, they follow up with a call to see how the kids are doing. They really do care about their patients and it shows. Cute, warm friendly reception/staff with fun fish tank. I've been looking for a pediatric dentist since moving to LA and after a few misses I am 90% sure we found it. Dr Regala was very thorough and repetitive (big bonus) since I always forget what they say anyways! I left the dr.'s office with clear instructions on my son's third tooth trauma and we will be attending here regularly now. I'd like to add that I got a very early morning appointment the next day after the accident (less then 24 hours). The speed of the staff's phone response and ability to schedule me quickly as a first patient was a HUGE bonus. Only thing I would change were individual rooms for check ups (they do have a few rooms off to the side) but they do have a few treatment chairs all in one open layout (so you hear other kids getting their appointment/cleaning done) which was completely new to me. read more

We've been seeing Dr. Zinnia since my kids were 2 years old and now they are almost 15! She is kind, patient, so knowledgable, she is great with the kids AND the parents. Always including the parents through every step of their visit which makes sense when you're dealing with kids but believe me, not everyone does that. Wow! All I can is wow!!! How many kids look forward to going the dentist? I have twins that have been going to Dr. Zinnia since they were 2 (now 10). My son, who is usually pretty jumpy, just lays there and let's both Dr. Zinnia and her staff work on him without ever budging, and ends up laughing by the end. And my daughter, poor thing, she's had to have almost every tooth pulled out because she has really long roots to the point where the new teeth end up coming in behind the baby teeth, and they still won't fall out. Dr. Zinnia not only has to do all the normal XRays and cleaning, but always has to give her a shot and/or laughing gas with the mask before she can do the extraction. Not once has my daughter been scared. The staff makes her laugh. Dr. Zinnia is always holding her hand and talking to her (and me) through everything. Usually my daughter doesn't even know she's started by the time she's done. And each time we've had to go back for another one, she almost looks forward to it. I believe it's because they are always so silly and fun with them from the time they walk through the door. They call them by name, they have their Kids Club board where they look for their picture, they give goodie bags with new toothbrushes and prizes when they leave, you'd think they had just been to Disneyland. Only downside is sometimes it takes a while to get a routine check up, and the parking is tight. I would highly recommend Dr. Zinnia to anyone within driving distance! (Note: I drive 45min to get there just for the bedside manner!) read more

I took my daughter in for her check-up last week. Dr. Zinnia was amazing. She was warm and engaging with my child. She truly cared about my child's wellbeing as she discussed what we should do about her loose tooth which has been stubborn to fall out along side the growth of the new tooth. Really positive experience. Paperwork was easy to download and fill out in advance. Lots of info available online to prepare for our first pediatric dental visit. Office is super fun, with lots of cool things to look forward to seeing. We showed our son the website pictures, so he was already looking forward to seeing the train and fish tank! The layout is nice and open, which is refreshing, while there are still more private spaces I imagine for more advanced dental work. Staff was warm, informative and didn't rush me over the phone with my questions. As first impressions go, their overall tone made my decision to set an appointment with them a no-brainer. (Another office was so cold over the phone, I didn't even bother.) In person the staff was welcoming, the cleaning tech totally set my 3 yr old at ease & Dr. Zinnia was warm, patient and answered all our questions. Very pleased. I'd been referred by my dentist, Dr. Ricci in Toluca Lake, and was moved to call them immediately to let them know how positive the experience was. So great dr but come on my daughter is 2 and a half she didn't even cry or was scared I was so proud of her she was even saying thank you to the dr all the time but at the end after polishing her teeth she told my daughter no gifts for you cause you drink your milk from bottle SERIOUSLY !?!?! Since that day my daughter asks me everyday why I didn't get a gift. I guess they feel responsible to teach and discipline your kids beside the teeth check ups. But please take it easy you just made a good kid not wanting to go back, just do what you are suppose to do and don't offer any prize and don't say you won't get one to a kid. read more

I have 2 kids. One has rocks for teeth, never a problem. The other has sponges, 4 cavities before age 7. I feel horrible enough about that even though she brushes and flosses as much as her sister. The staff and Dr. here would talk down to me and make me feel crappier. The last straw was a few months ago when they showed me what clearly looked like a chunk of tooth missing from my little one, right away they wanted to do an x Ray, I said no mostly due to exposure. So they said we could just watch it . For months I would ask my daughter if her tooth hurt- answer always no. Last week they were due for their regular appt. I switched dentists. The new dentist pointed out the same chip and showed me on the x ray how it was just a chip off of the filling that Dr. Sofise had put in! I should have switched years ago. Though it's been a while that I'd brought my son to this office but still decided to write this review in case it helps other parents too. My 3 yr old son complained of hurting pointing at his cheek a few weeks back. I looked for a dentist nearby and found Dr. Regala's practice with the 5 star reviews. I called and made an appointment, on the day of visit everybody in the office was pretty much professional and polite. My son was jumpy and did not want to sit down when he did, the doctor did a visual inspection while giving out notes to take regarding at least 3 teeth. One of those she said she could see the cavity. She said since my son was jumpy he needed to be sedated and once sedated she'd perform x-ray, root canal and fill up the other two tooth. A little shocked since we brush his teeth regularly and follow pretty good diet, I walked over to the receptionist where they mechanically handed me the forms and said the anesthesiologist charges $1200 and $250 was needed to be paid upfront. Wow! I asked are there any other forms or methods that can be used like laughing gas or so. She shrugged and said the doctor suggested that. Then I asked but we haven't done any x-ray yet - how can you be sure that we absolutely need anesthesia? Besides if we are going to do the x-rays that very day of anesthesia I almost I have no other way but to sign up for anesthesia and find out later? The receptionist calmed me by saying the doctor did a visual inspection and she's sure that a root canal is needed, so are you going to make the appointment now or think about it. Of course insurance do not cover it. Something told me to 'think about it'. On a hunch, next day I took my son to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles's Dental dept. After a long wait, since we walked in, my son was seen by Dr. John (don't know his last name). Very calmly and gently he had my son lay down and even cooperate to a point of opening wide, touch and poke at couple of tooth as well. He didn't find any such cavity that required 'root canal' ! Most teeth are in good shape other than one where the 'cavity' is so minor that it can wait till a later appointment day to be filled up. Oh yes ! he showed me the reason of the "hurting" too - there it was a big gash inside of his cheek (he must've bitten himself) ! And he asked why was I referring to a root canal and if I had brought any x-ray with me that day? I said 'never mind', Dr. John, see you in six months. Thanks'! Wow!! same visual inspections by competent dentists - two very different results/opinions. I guess 'buyer be aware' rules every place! read more

This dentist quoted me over $1000 because my 4-yr old had 8 cavities. YES, 8. Took my son to another dentist in Woodland Hills the very next day, and he has none. not a single one. Dr. Zinnia and her staff are AMAZING at what they do. My 3 year old daughter had a cavity that needed to be filled. We had had a bad experience with a previous pediatric dentist that left my daughter traumatized and unwilling to do anything dental related. Acting on a relative's recommendation, I took her to Dr. Zinnia. Within 5 minutes of our visit, she had already succeeded in getting my strong-willed daughter comfortable with her. We came up with a plan to use nitrous gas to fill her cavity and she wisely sent us home with the nose mask she would be using at the filling so that my daughter could wear it a little bit each day and get used to it on her face. Our next visit passed without a single hitch. Dr. Zinnai had so many tricks up her sleeve, she was done filling the cavity before my daughter even had a chance to protest. You can just tell that she's been doing this for years and has the experience to ease even the most anxious children into doing a "scary" procedure. read more

Three of my four children go to this dentist (the fourth is still a baby, so she will get her chance later!) and she is fabulous. I have never had to wait more than a minute or two for an appointment. The reception staff are friendly and always helpful and accommodating on the phone and in person. The hygienists are wonderful with my kids- very patient, sweet, gentle. They take the time to explain what they're doing and talk to them so they feel at ease. They also let me come back and sit with my kids while they are having their exams, which I really appreciate. Dr. Regala is super comfortable with children and explains things in a way they can understand. She listens to my questions and concerns and addresses them in an honest and thorough manner. When my oldest had to have two of his baby teeth pulled, they made it as quick and painless as possible. Whenever we have come in for a cleaning, we are in and out in a snap. I was looking for a Pediatric Dentist for sometime and it never accrued to me on asking my Aunt Janet; since, she too is in the Dentistry field. She right away referred me to Dr. Zinnia Regala that was right down the street from her and even though it's a drive from Lakewood to Burbank it's "WELL WORTH THE DRIVE!" Dr. Zinnia and her staff are great. It was an astonishing sight to see those kid size chair's and all of the colorful decor that was displayed throughout the office. read more

Doesn't deserve a rating- Called on the phone to make an appt for my five year old to have his cavities filled on the advice of our family dentist who cleaned his teeth and found a few cavities. The office would not even take the appointment because they require another cleaning which the insurance will not cover and I can not afford. So, they are not willing to help someone out in this situation- be very careful when dealing with their office an unwilling staff means an unwilling dentist to help you out in any situation- leadership comes form the top. read more

Best pediatric dentist in town! She is funny and professional at the same time. Her staff is great as well. The office is bright with colorful chairs and there are TVs with cartoons playing everywhere so the kids are comfortable.
