If you need a gum graft I highly recommend Dr. Richards! I had gotten one as a kid and remembered it being truly awful both during the procedure and the recovery, but this time around it was not bad at all. I only had to take Advil over the counter for a couple days and didn't need stent personally after a few days. My gum turned out looking great a few months later (give it time, first couple months I thought it looked a little low but now it's right in line with my others). Everyone at the office was sweet and very responsive. Also, I got a couple quotes for gum grafts as a cash paying patient and this was the best deal. Overall amazing experience! read more

I was a patient here for the past 8 years. I was in for a cleaning last week and discussed some treatments with my hygentist. I was promised a quote for some work and it would be emailed tht day. 1 week later--NO QUOTE. Took 3 phone calls and a few more days to get it. When I called to set u an appointmentm , the receptionist Crystal at Queen Creek argued with me about what my hygentist and I had discussed for treatment and the type of appointment I needed. Surgeon was great and professional. Ultimately, 4 months after my surgery they harassed me via mail and phone regarding a $15 "fee" that was never verbally or mailed told to me that I owed. This was after my insurance paid $6000+ and I PAID THEM $1,700 out of pocket back in June. I get a notice in October that I have a charge + late fee of $25. Called immediately to handle it, spoke with Leah who made it seem the charge and all fees would be dropped. For the next 3 days, I was called over and over saying they "figured it out" but I still owe $20 of the $25??? Why would I pay any late fee when a charge was not notified of an initial charge to begin with. Haggling a customer for $5, 10, $15... smh read more

We honestly feel scammed and poached for treatment by this office at their Gilbert location. Don't make the same mistake as us and fall for the enticing treatment plan for a one stop shop. You'll be sorely disappointed and inconvenienced. The ONLY reason we chose this office is because of the offered convenience of completing extractions, root canal and maintenance cleaning. Their inter professional collaboration is subpar in properly communicating treatment plans. However they are quick to blame the patient for scheduling wrong when in fact this was how both offices informed us to schedule. Needless to say we walked out of there with part of a treatment done as a root canal CANNOT in fact be completed right after extractions even though this was their treatment plan. The root canal was cancelled without us knowing, and found out by me calling as I thought I missed the after care instructions. I am no expert and trusted them which was my first mistake and against my better judgement. In hindsight we should have stayed with our original trusted oral surgeon as we are now having to complete these treatment's separately. Unfortunately we were blind sided by convenience and it has bit us two fold. Not only are we stuck with this office to complete perio treatment. It disgusts me to have to pay even a penny more to this practice. Dental benefits maxed so this was expected but has left a bitter taste. If I could do a charge back in services I would have done it that day. ALSO, I missed this in the fine print, but their merchant account WILL double charge: one charge pulls immediately and another is "held" until it clears about a week. Had I known this, I would've never used my HSA as this billing practice depleted my funds because of the holding charge which if you use yours as an investment tool like myself. It will trigger your stocks/bonds to be sold to replenish that cash flow. So not only was our time wasted but we lost $2,000 in our investment portfolio because of their merchant practices. Worst business to spend $4,000 on. After all this the ramifications of delaying treatment would be better than dealing with the aftermath of seeking treatment with them.... Highly recommend to take your business elsewhere. read more

Best periodontist office in the Valley. I came to Dr Jensen's office as a referral from my trusted Dentist of years Dr Goodman. I have to say that my expectations were blown away and both the staff and Dr Jensen exceeded my expectations and had a fantastic experience with my surgery, treatment and post op appointments. First and foremost, I have to say that I am not an easy patient. I am not difficult, its more that I am afraid of surgeries, pain and anything related to dental or needles scares me. I went in for a consultation due to excessive brushing, flossing and just receding gums for extreme cleaning and genetics I knew I had to get my gums "restored" or whatever that procedure is called so I went in. Shannon the dr's assistant was super nice. She prepared me to see the Dr and the consultation was easy. I was accommodated to receive my quote by Wendy (she is a doll, love her) and she was super sweet to go above and beyond to get me even a quote with anesthesia included. I did pay this out of my pocket since it was an extra accommodation, but she was sweet to accommodate my needs. I seriously would've died if I am just half numbed or sleep, but again... I am not your normal patient lol. (Insert chicken quote here again ) I scheduled my surgery and I received my scripts for my meds in advance. People, follow directions and get those filled before you go in for surgery. Also, do not watch You Tube videos like I did. The surgery is not bad and you won't ever remember what happened the next day. I went in for surgery and that big day was easy as pie. I forgot half the day due to the drugs and the anesthesia The rest is probably a variable in pain tolerance level and type of surgery you are getting. I just have to say, Dr Jensen is the best. He accommodate my "special needs" to get me my palate band aid after hours. He went above and beyond the call of Dr duty and love him for that. He wanted to make sure my healing was going well, my pain level was managed and all my questions and concerns were answered. Please stop your search and do yourself a favor. Go here. My new dentist doctor Wettstein at Affinity Dental in Queens creek , AZ sent me to Scott Price DMD/MS/PC to get his professional opinion on a tooth of mine. I am so happy I went to him. Wow- these guys are great! They communicate with each other and do what is best for the patient (they gave me the choices they had to offer me.) Great communication! I have only been living in the Mesa , AZ area since May 2018. Before going to them I was getting so much run around with 2 other dentist that I had tried. One of the other two dentist were a real nightmare. ex: I am going to pull your tooth right now and put an implant in because you have bone loss and it will only cost $$$. I think you should be very wary of this place. Doctor was very good. However, they seem to be more interested in money than your health! I was quoted a price for the work. I left the appointment paying my part. The day before my follow up appointment, I got an email and a text from a third party with almost the entire amount. Having identity stolen, I replied I do not do third parties and to please do a paper statement. (Requiring an 'account' with third party is illegal) with third party. No reply. At appt., I asked doctor to look into what was going on. He said he does not get involved in that. He put me on to the 'insurance' person that gave me three different answers in one minute that all amounted to 'just pay it'. Asked again for a written statement. Never came. Then on my birthday, I get a happy birthday email from a third party (no reply of course) with their name. Can you say HIPAA violation? Then I get another third party text and email! (Only allowed one request for payment per month.) I called and got the receptionist to mail me a statement. They had the gall to charge me interest and ding my credit. Be careful! I went today to have my teeth cleaned because I am now an older person (how does that happen?) and my poor little gums are falling down like socks around my ankles, only it's my teeth. But, you get the picture. So, reluctantly I am following instructions and was told by our esteemed AT Still School of Dentistry residents and the wonderful Mesa Hygiene Clinic there, that I should have my teeth cleaned every three months so ok. What a wonderful dentist office, great staff and the hygienists are also fantastic. I have been there before but really, every time I go I feel really good and they treat me like I am special. : ) They treat everyone like that, so it's a good thing all around. We all get older and we can keep our teeth and gums, they just need extra care is all. So glad I have found this team and am very happy with the quality of their work. Got a implant done for a ridiculous amount of money. For just one implant they charged me almost $2100. Not only that I need to get my healing cap screwed on tighter because it came loose and was tearing up my tongue. They wanted me to pay them 200 extra dollars just for them to fix something that they did. The biggest scam in the valley. I cannot say enough great things about my experience here! I had a "gummy smile" and had always been interested in having it fixed. I knew the surgery would be invasive and I was nervous to even consider it. After speaking with Dr. Price I knew I was in good hands. He took his time and explained everything clearly and confidently. I was even more impressed with his character. His team had amazing things to say about him and he is a genuinely good person. My surgery went so smoothly! Dr. Price did an amazing job. Even though it was an extensive surgery, healing was a breeze! I needed ibuprofen for only a couple days and the post-op instructions the office gave me were very helpful. Right away my smile looked a million times better and I was thrilled with the results. I had a very unique dental situation and was treated by Dr. Jensen and his team in the Queen Creek office. The whole experience was as good as it gets. They are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They know their stuff and it shows. I was passed around by various dentists/doctors and eventually was referred to Dr. Jensen. He was able to quickly come up with a solution to my problem. I have been very remiss for not writing a review sooner. I have been Dr. Morley Smith's patient since 1988. I returned to the United States after living in England for a number of years. England was not known for its dentistry and I developed a periodontal disease. Shortly after returning to the United States I went to see Dr. Smith. He performed oral surgery which cured my periodontal disease and saved my teeth. I had no other issues until I damaged two teeth while eating popcorn. I required dental implants and the surgery was performed by Dr. Scott Price. I love the implants. What has prompted me to write this review now is the wonderful teeth cleaning that I have received over the years from the skilled dental hygienists employed by Dr. Smith, Dr. Price and East Valley Periodontics. Over the past 30 years I had my teeth cleaned by six different dental hygienists. They have all been wonderful and have helped me maintain my teeth. Some of my past hygienists either retired or moved out of state. My current dental hygienist, Jan Jess, has done a wonderful job in helping me maintain my teeth. On my last visit Jan used newly acquired equipment (Air Flow) to remove the stain on my teeth. Since I am a coffee and red wine drinker, I had years of stain that could not be removed by scraping alone. I know Jan worked overtime (I was the last patient of the day) to give me the great results I experienced. I appreciate the new technology acquired by East Valley Periodontics and the extra effort Jan put forth in giving me the results I would have thought only possible by artificial whiting of the teeth. I underwent gum graft surgery in the Queen Creek location 4 weeks ago and I can't say enough good things about Dr. Jensen and the whole team at East Valley Periodontics. I am the worst patient. I'm a total chicken about having dental work done, and the thought of a graft surgery was so unnerving for me that I literally put it off for 4 years! When I finally worked up the nerve to get it done every person in that office took their time to make me feel comfortable and to get prepared. I'm embarrassed to say that I was worried for no reason. The procedure and recovery were much easier than I expected and there was no reason to put it off like I did. Dr. Jensen is a pro and I would be comfortable trusting him with any procedure he recommends. He even went above and beyond and assisted me with getting a third opinion on some Orthodontic work.
