Jeremy and LeAnna catered our private rehearsal dinner. Jeremy's food was a traditional Hawaiian meal and was absolutely exquisite. Every bite was delicious and taught us about Hawaiian cuisine. LeAnna is the perfect compliment to Jeremy's food as her service is so polite and she does a great job of explaining each dish. We have ordered meal delivery from Jeremy and Leanna every time we have been on island in the past year. They are wonderful to work with and we love everything Jeremy makes. We've ordered the BBQ meal with chicken and ribs, the Mexican meal twice, once with Chili Rellenos and once with tamales, the vegetarian meal with chickpea falafal and most recently the asian meal with the assorted vegetarian sushi garden. The food items I mention are just the main entree, but the meals come with so many delicious food items that I wouldn't have space to detail them all here. We worked with Chef Jeremy and Leanna two nights in a row on our vacation. The first night Chef and his team prepared and served a massive family dinner for 21 at our vacation rental. Everything was super delicious, fresh, unique, and well prepared and seasoned. They made three generations, including young kids, so happy with their food. The entree for the kids was a hit with the adults too! The team was super flexible, adjusting the service cadence based on how the evening was going. The fish course in particular was unlike anything I've had before, and I appreciated how Chef seeks out local and sustainable sources for his seafood and other product. For Thanksgiving, Chef and Leanna dropped off a Hawaiian feast that was incredible! And so much food! My son wanted us to bring the last of the leftover pork home on the plane! For both meals, Chef and team were punctual, gracious, did a nice job explaining the food and answering questions. They were also really responsive leading up to the meals, answering questions via email, and Chef even took time out from his vacation to talk about menu options, given the size of our group and wide age range. Lastly, they left the kitchen super clean as well. Everything about our experience with them was first rate, and it only added to our vacation. No added stress or anything. It was particularly nice to work with such a great team during covid restrictions, as going to a restaurant with such a big group would have been tough if not impossible. I highly recommend Chef Jeremy and his partner Lee. I inquired about their services in July 2021 based on their Yelp review for a family dinner I was hosting in September 2021. They were responsive and provided a menu that met my needs and budget. I was impressed with their willingness to work with someone via email more than 5000 miles away and the ease with which we are able to finalize all the details via email before my arrival and payment via PayPal. Both Chef Jeremy and Lee even visited the house where I was hosting the dinner to make sure the house layout was adequate for the buffet set-up and to ensure I had everything I needed to host a successful family dinner. Due to COVID-19 protocols, we decided not to do a full service, but a simple buffet style set-up. Chef Jeremy came early and set everything up beautifully, even bringing some decorations to make the presentation even more special. The presentation was just fabulous and more importantly the food was delicious and plentiful. They are generous with their portions, and our guests helped themselves to seconds, and even took some home with them. Chef Jeremy graciously provided take home containers, so it was easy for our family to take leftovers with them. We had a few guests who live on the island, and they were so impressed with the quality and taste of our dishes. They were very impressed that I was able to find a caterer that was reliable and did such a wonderful job. We will definitely reach out to East-West Catering if our travels take us back to Puako/Kona. P.S. After searching high and low for a private chef and or catering service on the Big Island for our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception, I thankfully found Jeremy and Leanna of East West Catering. We ordered meal delivery for the rehearsal dinner and a seated course meal for the reception. After communicating my vision, Jeremy and Leanna got to work preparing sample menus including recommendations. The selection process was difficult, only because they offer so many delicious options. Our final selections for the meal delivery were, lobster Bahn mi, poke, Korean Chicken Wings and BBQ beef sliders. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food and were excited to discover Jeremy and Leanna would also be providing the meal for the reception. For the reception, Jeremy created an appetizer menu of poke nachos, pear and gorgonzola crostini and pork egg rolls. For the course meal we selected rib eye, kona konpachi, truffle whipped potatoes and luau leaf. Our group had a number of food allergies and Jeremy accommodated them all! The food was beyond our expectations and the guests are still talking about it weeks later. Everyone was professional and most importantly personable. The servers even offered to take some group photos so we could all be photographed together. I would highly recommend their service to anyone looking for the best meal on the Big Island and will definitely be reaching out to Jeremy and Leanna the next time we visit the Big Island. We ordered delivery on our first night at our vacation rental. Everything was great! There are lots of menu options to choose from and we chose the Greek meal, which included a Greek salad, spanikopita, roasted chicken and potatoes, and dessert (we chose strawberry shortcake). Everything was fresh and delicious and easy to prepare (the only "work" was reheating the chicken, potatoes and spanikopita for a half hour or so). Jeremy & Leeana were a joy to work with. Our church had a marriage course that celebrated it's completion with a valentine's dinner. We originally had another caterer who for personal reasons had to cancel at the last minute...East-West catering came to the rescue providing a great menu, working through layout of the food service as the kitchen was on a lower level and working with a team of volunteers.
