Really nice indian grocery store. Some of the spices aren't arranged in the order I would have expected but perhaps I'm the one that doesn't understand what the order should be. I needed several unusual spices for a couple of recipes and they had all of them. They are very helpful as soon as you ask for help if you're not sure where to find something. I just wish I had a clue what all the wonderful stuff they tastes like :-) read more

This is one of the first Indian grocery store I have been to as a kid to now. Let me say they are very family oriented and friendly. The uncle that works there treats us like family that one day I forgot my wallet and he gave me the items for free, just because he knew us and knew this doesn't happen on the time. Of course my parents did pay him back for his generosity but the fact he gave it with an open heart made an impact on me personally. The place is clean and some times can be overwhelming with all the items but the staff members are loving. The food is amazing and the catering service has not let us down. Here and there food taste might lack depending on how busy they are that day but on the good days they have shown their talent in cooking. They were also our go to for Indian cosmetics and they do have most items imported from India. I personally recommended, they are loving and caring enough be helpful. read more

LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this store. Its my weekend pit stop for all things INDIAN. You name if they have it Spices + Fresh Indian Veggies+ Fish + Meat. This hidden gem, is in a strip mall, but dont be weary the customer service well makes up for that. This is a family owned business. I was very happy with the customer service I received :O), which isnt' very typical in many Indian stores. Make sure to check out the ready made snacks : Veggie Puffs OOOOOOOOOOOMMMGGGGGG. The store also caters South + North Indian Food. I am in love with the naan. it makes me HAPPY...Also have a cute selection of Soaps/Shampoos/ After its all said and done, make sure you pick up a "Frooti" Mango Juice Drink.. Ordered butter chicken rice naan bread for 32 people. I got butter chicken for 18 at most AND they forgot the naan. Talk about disappointment and a swindle. Now they won't take my call they knew they messed the naan up. Meet the Business Owner: Mathew G.

Mathew has been in the retail and catering business for over 20 years. He immigrated from India in 1991 at that time there were only 3 or 4 stores serving the expansive Indian population of Dallas. He ventured out on his first store with 3 other partners but that store eventually went bankrupt. He started this store in the same location by himself because he saw a vision and he wished to serve his community. He also had a love for his customers who came from all walks of life. Even today you can here people lovingly call him "Indian man" or "Indio". He is a great hit with the locals! Plus, he makes some of the best Indian food this side of Dallas. Having learned from the Head Chef at his earlier venture Ashiana Restaurant. He along with his wife and team now specializes in North Indian and traditional South Indian Kerala Cuisine. He has catered for many VIPs of Indian society (celebrities, politicians, religious figures) and catered for huge church conferences in excess of 5000 guests.

I don't know if it's because I am fair skin and look white or what but I had to call my father for him to order his food in Spanish. When I try to pass the phone they continuously tell me that they don't speak English, and I have to get loud and tell them that my dad speak Spanish. They finally grabbed the phone and out of the blue they understand Spanish I get my food. I come home one the tacos the tortillas themselves were raw. The Carnitas weren't even chopped up and the pupusa had a long hair in it. I will never ever ever come back again. They need to fix not only their attitude but their food they need to know what proper customer service is and work on their food hygiene ASAP

I'm 5'11, 210, decent shape from working a physical outdoors job, no beard, trimmed moustache and I keep my hair cut, high and bald tight; I'm always asked if I served in the military. I grabbed a drink, walked over to a shelf, grabbed some bagged plaintain chips and began looking around at the various boxed supplements - did I say I'm a healthnut? Lady comes from behind the counter, 2 minutes later, I pass behind her, stop, now we're both at the same 4-sided, 8 tiered open-sided shelves. Breaking the dead non-speaking noise I ask her if she has coconut capsules. She pauses, thinks and says, "No", actually as if her contempt for me lessened a bit...because I was a serious customer. I look at everything on the shelves where we actually spoke words, then decided to not be too cheap, "I'll buy another kind of cold drink, to increase my sale above $6 bucks." Go back to the cooler, grab a drink and as I turn around, at the counter now, is an older woman....looking right at me! Same contempt, no greeting whatsoever; that, "yes I am watching you", same kind of previous, dislike. I approach the counter, older Lady rings me up - 1st Lady had to school her a bit, on the register operation - right then another man and woman enter the store - Hispanics. Younger Lady says, "Ola.Como estas? "Customers, "Bien... bien". First Lady takes care of them WITH a greeting. Older Lady gives me my change - at least she didn't try not touching my open palm - says, "Gracias", "Gracias", I replied, and leave the most unfriendly store in Dallas!

Very rude experience from the owner and his wife. My wife had ordered for 20 Chicken biriyanies over phone for treating her office colleagues with lunch and when I phoned the store, the owner's wife answered very rudely and said there is no such order in place and I might have placed the order somewhere else. I was trying to clarify on this and she gave the phone to owner himself and he said there is an order only for ten biriayanies! I called my wife and she reconfirmed that the order was for twenty biriyanies. Finally the owner was forced to give me 20 biriyanies but he was angry and very rude. As it was absolutely needed my order be honored because my wife had already informed her colleagues that she would be providing the lunch, I was trying to control myself. Upon getting the biriyani trays in my trunk, I gave the owner my credit card for the payment and he charged $125 instead of $120 for 20 biriyanies. When I asked about the extra 5 dollar he charged, he said for credit card transactions he would charge $ 5 additional! I was pissed off with the whole experience and told him that I wish I won't meet him in my life again! He exploded very loudly on hearing this and responded that the other three Indian competitor stores around his shop could not fail him in his business after their continuous attempts and I'm no one in as compared to his three competitors. As he was yelling at me peeking his head inside my car, my youngest daughter who was with me in the car started crying because of fear. As, my wife was eagerly waiting for me in her office for the lunch, I had to rush from the place else I would have ended up calling the emergency number. I would be never back to this shop again and I would not recommend this store for any customers who would expect a fair customer service. The owner and his wife were very furious on me but I'm not sure what did I do wrong except asking for 20 biriyanies and they were even ready to go physical with me. Looks like they are some uncultured, crazy people. I knew from friends and public that they were running out of business just because of their customer service and rude behavior but I asked my wife to place this order at this shop just because it was a small order and thinking they may not be busy to meet my small order.
