Indo Pak Super Market is the best grocer for those in need of Southwest Asian spices and produce. Their prices are a fraction of those found at the mainstream chains and the quality is second to none. They also have a wide selection of dried goods, packaged goods, confections and a well-stocked butcher counter. One can often find special Indian and Pakistani desserts in the case behind the checkout. Saffron is kept behind the counter ...ask for it, the price can't be beat. Grocery store and restaurant under one roof... the food is delicious, no frills though. They serve in paper plates etc. but the stuff is authentic, especially their Achar Chicken, Chicken Biryani, Kabab Rolls, Daal etc. Chai is nice and refreshing and the Lassi is chilled :) Used to eat here at least once or twice a week when I was working down south. Also, the masjid is less than two miles away and the Shisha place is less than a mile away :) read more

Great Indian grocery store, fairly small but it gets the job done!

Went to this place at the suggestion of a coworker who moved to the area (he is Indian). I thought I had the wrong place for a while but went in anyway. This is a quaint grocer/restaurant. There is a small buffet on the weekends but I ordered a chicken dish to go. Naan was 3/$1 and we misunderstood each other so I ended up with 3 orders (9 pieces of naan). I ate it all, I usually can't get enough naan with my Indian dishes anyway. I have this 4 stars because I wouldn't take an Indian food virgin here unless they are pretty open minded. The fresh produce as well as raw meat is stale. Please watch out. I always shop at indo pak Plano and can never complain about their meat. But the Richardson location is clearly carries stale meat. Also ordered a kabab roll at the cafe. It was stale, tasteless and too hard to bite into. Never will go here again read more

I have shopped here for my family gatherings many time but this time will be my last. This is now the 4th time over the past 2 years that I have received rotten chicken from Indopak in richardson. These guys are greedy. Last time I bought 1lb boneless lamb. Today they told me that I needed to buy minimum 2 lbs. I am considering to go to some other place. The price is generally higher than other Indian restaurant. The vegetables are rotten. read more

ENJOY YOUR COCKROACH I used to get the famous cheap Biryani dish from Indo Pak until few days ago when I bought one to go. At home, I found a great surprise, a big cockroach is lying dead on the top of my meal. I called the shop while terrified of what I've seen. The assistant manager replied very calmly that they were just cleaning the kitchen and the roach may have fallen in my box. I forgot to say that the roach was actually as yellow as the curry itself, which means it had been cooked and adequately seasoned with the whole meal. Without any effort to apologize, assist. manager offered to replace it with another Beryani (perhaps with a bigger roach this time)!!! After inquiries at the Richardson restaurants inspection dept. I found out that they had inspection few days ago and they go excellent, although they have active pest control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems that inspection standards in the city of Richardson, TX are quite loose. read more
