We have been going to the same farm to cut our trees for over 15 years. The original owners sold…read morethe farm a few years ago and the new owners over-harvested and under planted the past couple of years, leaving few trees left. I happened to come across an article and the original owners co-own a beautiful tree farm in Marshall. They had closed their farm last year to let their trees grow for an additional year to allow for a larger selection this year. They have the greatest set up, providing not only sharp saws, but sleds to pull the trees. They also shake and bail your tree. There's even free hot cocoa and homemade cookies waiting for you when you pay. Highly recommend!!

The trees are organized in nice rows with grass in between, not tons of mud, and no steep hills to climb. They provide sleds to drag your tree around, or your kids.......or your husband. Inside, when you go to pay (cash or check only) they have free hot chocolate, cookies, and venison sausage. This year we couldn't muster the strength to cut our tree down ourselves, so the nice gentleman did it for us with a compact chainsaw. I'm asking Santa for compact chainsaw. They have several different types and sizes of trees, ranging in price starting at about 35 bucks and up. The cost includes shaking, bundling, and help loading the tree if you need it. Specifically, we have a butt head cat, so we always go here and get a blue spruce. He leaves it alone because it is VERY prickly. Instead, he sits nearby and stares at it until New Years. Haha to you cat!

We have visited tree farms all around us within a 45 minute radius ranging from Madison, Waunakee, Baraboo and on and on. Always searching for a stunning family Christmas tree. Not even knowing this hidden gem was right down the road from us the entire time. We are so happy we found this beautiful family farm within a few miles from our home. It is a family owned and operated company that grows the best quality of trees, beautifully groomed trees, many different tree styles and heights to choose from. A great local business that I will now fully support year after year. I have told several locals and friends even about this place. My family was just so impressed how they had row after row of just perfect trees... Usually we are pretty picky and like to search for a nice wide based fully branch filled tree and it takes a while of walking through all the rows trying to remember which one you liked best! Not here... All the trees are great! Plus they last a long time without shedding the needles. The customer service here is great. Prices are extremely fair for the quality of the trees you get. They are all very friendly and helpful. Like most places they will freshly cut the bottom of the tree for you if you would like, they shake it, and bundle wrap it for you. They have a cute gift shop where they offer free hot chocolate, lots of crafts, homemade goods, fudge, and all types of goodies and Christmas gifts to purchase! You can walk their fields to go hand cut your own tree with one of their provoded hand saws and drag it back yourself or you can take a wagon ride out to the fields depending on how busy they are. Then they will bring it back for you. All in all just one of the coolest tree farms we have ever been too. Beautiful old barn on the property that is a must see. Also a fun fact! They own the world's largest horse "Jake" So you can tour their barn and visit this huge horse. Check that off your bucket list!

A holiday staple Living in the Rockford area…read more My Family has been visiting for as long as I can remember and we always have a good time. We always meet our close friends and their family. A tradition that started with 4 or 5 of us and has grown to 8. We have not actually bought a Tree from there in years (They're Overpriced) but our friends always do, they love the tradition of cutting their own tree, their oldest son has taken on the responsibility, something he is very proud of. There is obviously MUCH MUCH more than just trees though, Our kids love the animals, santa, snacks, and shops. We always bring a few adult beverages to chat around the outdoor firepits, spend quality time together roaming the property, petting the animals, indulging their delicious foods and making new memories. Williams is without a doubt the best option in the Rockford Area and I would highly recommend bringing your family and friends.

Seems like the majority is Frazier but we went pine this year for the first time. Loved the different areas spread all over to cut your own. They even have atvs driving around to take your cut tree to the shake station. If you have little kids there's some fun stuff and they have drinks and food. Happy we ventured here. Worth the 1-1/2 hour drive.
