I have no choice but to use them because no one else accepts my insurance. It's been months since I went for my 6 month check up and cleaning. When I went I was told that I needed to get them a medical sheet because I had a procedure done on my heart. They said they would send the form to the doctor and when it comes back they would call me. I never got the call so I went in there demanding to know who dropped the ball. They then said I had to get it signed and get it back to them. My doctor did this about a month ago and again no call from them to schedule the appointment. So now I will have to call them or go there again, and am anticipating another finger pointing exercise! The prior dentist that worked there was fine and I never had trouble. Let me start off by saying how cold the front desk was when I called ! I'm literally in tears ! Because I'm in so much pain ! Dr.s are fine. Office staff bumped their head. They ignore phone calls. They ignore messages left on voicemail. I stood outside when no one was at the counter, no one was on the phone, I called, the phone lit up.......IGNORED!!!!! My daughter had an appointment at 11:00 a.m. to have 2 crowns put in. She had Novocain to numb and they removed the temporaries. As of now, it is 1:30 and the Novocain is wearing off and she is still in the office!!! When I questioned the staff they said they had a few emergencies and were extremely rude. I just want say being a new patient at Eastern dental was an experience that I truly enjoyed. Samantha took my X rays She was very thoughtful friendly and most of all very funny. Doctor Bochner came in to make an assessment of the Xrayes. He took notes on work that they needed to keep an eye on. Then Dr. Bochner gave Sue the results for the best cleaning. I felt that Sue was very thorough in my cleaning made me feel very comfortable suggested some work that I had been thinking about in the past. Thank you Sue my mouth feels wonderful. This was my first experience here and it was more than enjoyable. The lady at the counter was very welcoming and helpful. Patty and Debbie were more than helpful and professional they made the experience seemless and as enjoyable as a dentist visit can be. The dentist himself was very informative, personable, and didn't have me do anything that wasn't necessary. My 11 year old was with me and was extremely apprehensive due to a previous experience at a different dentist. Bobby and Sue were absolutely incredible with him. They were so patient and made him feel so comfortable!!! They were truly remarkable and turned a frightened boy into a happy boy with clean teeth. Dr. Bochner listened to my feelings about the planned prodedure and was able to change the plan to better meet my needs. He is truly one of the most personable dentists I have ever dealt with. Run! Do not walk from this office. This is probably the worst dental office in this or any other state. Came for initial cleaning and xrays. Set up dental plan to repair each of my familys dental needs. My son has invisaligns with a band around his tooth for attachment of tray. They saw a cavity to repair and scheduled an appointment for him as he was leaving to go back to college. We came back in about 8/9 days and they couldnt do anything as the band was in the way. They saw the band at the exam? Still made us waste our time, when the band was still there. Ponderous! Ok, but $35 was paid upfront at appointment. They stated it would be credited back. Well it took 3 calls, 1 in person visit...and 5 weeks to return the $$. Was told at one point they dont credit back the money, not their policy. Not having it. Came for my appointment suddenly a $40 charge was blown to $586(not covered) when in fact it is covered under my plan. As a real laugh, the $35 charge was also a covered charge at 100%. These guys dont belong in business. AT ALL. They lost three in my family with these horrible actions. read more

The worse experience ever! My husband and I gave them our insurance from the beginning. I trusted them; therefore, I never checked my insurance coverages until one day I found out they over-charged us more than 300 dollars. I went to the office and tried to talk to the manager, Cathy. She found all kinds of excuses not to help me and made me wait for 2 hours until she would help me. She told me the office is not allowed to have someone in except patients and asked me to call, but they never answer the phone call and never return the phone call either. I admit to being nervous going to Eastern Dental in Brick after seeing so many negative reviews. This is where my insurance requires, so I decided to go. Called due to a broken tooth, and was given an appt that day. When I was taken in, Samantha was the first clinical person I dealt with. She was so friendly and caring. I explained a bad experience I had with another dentist and she helped ease my anxiety. Dr. Bronner was the dentist that came in to work on my tooth. He was great, explained everything they were going to do, and went over a treatment plan for the future. When I checked out, the financial girl explained what would be done on my next visit and all costs involved. Everyone was friendly and kind, which helped my anxiety level. Thank you! read more

DON'T WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS VALUABLE TIME! They definitely secretly overpay you and then when you see the invoice there is a credit on your account. They took the remaining balance that should have gone back to my card, since it was an overpayment. It doesn't matter the amount, they will literally steal your money in what they know they can get away with. They should be ashamed of themselves. They give every excuse in the book. I have tried countless of times to get the money back with no resolution. They will ignore you on purpose. "Superb" career in crappy customer service. If I could I would give this place no stars. They are horrible. I would never recommend this dental office to anyone, not even my worst enemy. The wait to see the dentist or the hygienist is absurd. I brought my kids in for a 6 pm appointment and they weren't seen until 7:30. In addition, the dentist told me my son didn't have any cavities and everything looked good. After 3 days my son was complaining of tooth pain. He had formed an abscess on his gums from an infection. I wanted to write a review because of all the bad ones that are out there. I have had to change dentists due to change of employment and Eastern Dental is my only choice. So far, I had a cleaning that was very good a few weeks ago and today I called because one of my teeth chipped and they took me right away for an assessment. Because the chip wasn't bad, they were able to fit me in and I had my tooth fixed right away and I was out of there all within an hour. Is this as personal of an office as my old dentist, no - lots of employees and definitely they work to get you in and out quickly, but all in all, I have been happy with my experience. If anything changes, I'll update my review. Both my husband and daughter will be going for cleanings by the end of the month. As far as friendly staff, the receptionists were very nice and the staff in the back, in particular, Samantha (super friendly and welcoming), Dr. Bronner who assessed my tooth initially and then the two who did the work, Denise and Dr. Fruchtman were all very professional. read more

How can a Dental office this size, not have time set aside for true emergency appointments? Brick office does not! As a longtime patient( 10+ years) I had my first dental emergency today. I called first thing in the morning, explained my problem as I was in the middle of dental work from their office and my temp cap fell off leaving my tooth exposed and quite sensitive. I was not able to even swallow water! I was informed that I was lucky to be squeezed in for later in the afternoon. No compassion from the staff. I will never come here again or recommend this place to anyone . They are so unprofessional and inconvenient. They had me wait an entire month for a tooth extraction appointment, while in excruciating pain the entire time and all they could proscribe to me was ibuprofen. Then I was called for confirmation on a Friday for my Monday appointment. Monday morning I was called to be told my appointment had been canceled and I needed to reschedule my appointment for another week!! When I called to ask why I was being made to wait longer knowin the immense pain I'm in and have been in , the secretary on the phone gave me a nasty attitude. Another person got on the phone and I explained my frustration of how this cancellation of my appointment LAST MINUTE is a huge inconvenience because not only did I have to take a day off from work but I'm also in a lot pain as I said before . Don't waste your time setting an appointment with them. I set an appointment a month in advanced. Then, they asked a copy from Aetna insurance that they are the primary dentist. No copy from Aetna means no appointment. After asking Aetna insurance to fax them the requested copies twice, they lost those copies. I wasted my time and I was asked to call the insurance again. Because they lost the copies, they want me to correct their mistakes by calling the insurance again. I cancelled the appointment and never looked back. It is difficult to get in as you have to set up an appt far ahead of time, at least for the oral surgeon (I think they are only there on thursdays) and make sure all insurance paperwork is taken care of before going to the appt. They are all very friendly. And, actually if it wasn't for Melinda, I do not think I would have gone back. They are down-to-earth people too, dealing with a ton of diverse people. Stick with them if you start and Dr. Maldonado is awesome!!! read more

i started going to eastern dental from a recommendation from a family friend who only had great things to say but after a few visits, i won't be returning. dentists here are extremely rude and impatient. i've had two separate visits where a male dentist couldn't get my mouth numb and got annoyed at me for it. after trying three or four needles he told me he couldn't do it and i'd have to book an appointment with someone else and walked out of the room, wasting my entire appointment. i'm only giving them two stars because the staff at the front counter are incredibly nice -- i had someone go out of their way to make multiple phone calls to my insurance and book appointments at a new maxillofacial center for my wisdom teeth removal that eastern dental originally made an appointment to pull awake with just novacaine. if you any have other options under your insurance, go with them instead of this place. don't let the few positive reviews they have influence your decision like i did. read more
