I have no choice but to use them because no one else accepts my insurance. It's been months since I went for my 6 month check up and cleaning. When I went I was told that I needed to get them a medical sheet because I had a procedure done on my heart. They said they would send the form to the doctor and when it comes back they would call me. I never got the call so I went in there demanding to know who dropped the ball. They then said I had to get it signed and get it back to them. My doctor did this about a month ago and again no call from them to schedule the appointment. So now I will have to call them or go there again, and am anticipating another finger pointing exercise! The prior dentist that worked there was fine and I never had trouble. This new women dentist is a real pain and the office in general is unorganized and very unprofessional! read more

They're always pushing me to buy very expensive teeth and x-rays, which are necessary. It's a money grab. I am finding a new dentist.

I appreciate the staff and treatments I have received at this office. One thing I noticed is that you don't need to worry about arriving early. I've never had a wait less than 30 minutes from my appointment time, even when I come first thing in the morning. It's a little frustrating when I have to leave work early to get there or go back to work afterwards. If they could inform me I'd be waiting longer, I'd like to be able to wait to come in. Some of their doctors only come a few days a month too so that can make it hard to get in appointments. They are quick for general services though (like getting fitted for partial dentures) and their dentists and techs are kind. read more

I only went there because that's where my company had their insurance with ! total nightmare only went to get a cap that had come loose reattached they told me they couldn't do that that the tooth had to come out because there was decay up under the gum and how lucky I was that the oral surgeon was there that day !! reluctantly, I let them do it and the woman surgeon punctured my sinus cavity when extracting my tooth every time I took a drink water would come out my nose! Have been coming here for years due to it being one of a few options in my dental plan. Beware: I have been told I needed dental work by them. When I consulted with other dentists, I was told differently. I requested an appointment for today. First appointment of the day, so I would not have to wait for hours which is a frequent occurrence. Despite confirming this appointment yesterday with me, I arrived to find that I needed to contact my insurance company as "I was not on their roster". I called only to have the representative confirm that I, indeed, was. She stated she would send a fax within 3 minutes confirming this. After waiting another approximately half hour, I was given x-rays/saw doctor; who, no surprise, recommended dental work. I was then told to wait in the waiting room because patients who arrived after me were to be seen first. Excuse me? I had a first of the morning 10:00 appt. Had to re-schedule. Also, when you leave, you get to sit and wait for " your highnesses" to stop chatting amongst themselves to tell you you can leave and will get a next appointment reminder. I am normally hesitant to leave a negative review however this company's policy's and office manager Stephanie is an absolute joke. First time appointment made (5 weeks out). During the time of scheduling the appointment I specifically asked for any new patient paperwork to be mailed or emailed to complete before hand to make sure everything was taken care and was advised that was not necessary to just show up 10 minutes before the appointment. Today I arrived for the appointment and was handed a stack of paperwork (impossible to complete in 10 minutes). I start filling out the paperwork only to be told the insurance information that was taken by the scheduling agent was incorrect. I was told I would need to get my wife's SS# in order for them to verify the insurance. She stated I had two minutes to do so or I need to reschedule. I contacted my wife and within 10 minutes had her SS# for them to verify the insurance. They refused service because it took more than the two minutes they requested (completely unrealistic). I offered multiple times to pay for the appointment in cash until the insurance was verified, only to be ignored. I respectfully requested to speak to the office manager to explain my experience. What a mistake, clearly she has had no official training in customer service interactions. She decided to escalate the situation and direct all blame on me. I respectfully asked for her name and if she was solely the one in charge. She became visually angry and rude at this point. She would only give me her first name which I was totally fine with, but became extremely irritated when I asked for her last name like that was an absurd question.) After asking two-three times if she was the one solely in charge, she finally answered her director was here but he was busy. I asked if he was a dentist and again rudely responded with "OF COARSE!". I didn't want to take any of his/her time if they were seeing patients. I advised I would be leaving a review of my experience and she said go ahead I will fight it. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for your dental needs. read more

Was a new patient and came for my first appointment. I brought my daughter with me nowhere did it say you could not bring a child to your appointment. Once there i was told if it was not her appointment she couldn't accompany me due to covid restrictions. What covid restrictions? they don't even require you to wear a mask there so I was confused on what covid restrictions they had. I had rescheduled three times due to them canceling my appointment due to the "dentist not being there." I finally switched dentist. Would not recommend. The last time they called to cancel my appointment 1 1/2 hours before it after I had already taken off from work. Worst dental place I've ever dealt with. This place in nothing but a chop shop,,,make you wait 1-11\2 hrs after you're appointment time,,The office in Northfield closed so this was the closest place 1 HR away that my insurance company had directed me to go, once there they would not do my scheduled cleaning and wanted to do a full scaling. Dr.s are fine. Office staff bumped their head. They ignore phone calls. They ignore messages left on voicemail. I stood outside when no one was at the counter, no one was on the phone, I called, the phone lit up.......IGNORED!!!!! I was super nervous coming to the dentist as i haven't been to one in years. i read the reviews and was even more nervous because some of them weren't that great. However, a lot of the reviews are more than 2-3 years ago. I must say i was VERY comfortable. The office is CLEAN. The x-rays were quick and not bothersome. I was brought into a room very quickly as well & the dentist spent a very good amount of time going over all my concerns and options. He was very charismatic and empathetic. He assured me I was in good hands and would get everything taken care of. Looking forward to my next appointment and i never thought i'd say that! read more

My daughter had an appointment at 11:00 a.m. to have 2 crowns put in. She had Novocain to numb and they removed the temporaries. As of now, it is 1:30 and the Novocain is wearing off and she is still in the office!!! When I questioned the staff they said they had a few emergencies and were extremely rude. I just want say being a new patient at Eastern dental was an experience that I truly enjoyed. Samantha took my X rays She was very thoughtful friendly and most of all very funny. Doctor Bochner came in to make an assessment of the Xrayes. He took notes on work that they needed to keep an eye on. Then Dr. Bochner gave Sue the results for the best cleaning. I felt that Sue was very thorough in my cleaning made me feel very comfortable suggested some work that I had been thinking about in the past. Thank you Sue my mouth feels wonderful. This was my first experience here and it was more than enjoyable. The lady at the counter was very welcoming and helpful. Patty and Debbie were more than helpful and professional they made the experience seemless and as enjoyable as a dentist visit can be. The dentist himself was very informative, personable, and didn't have me do anything that wasn't necessary. My 11 year old was with me and was extremely apprehensive due to a previous experience at a different dentist. Bobby and Sue were absolutely incredible with him. They were so patient and made him feel so comfortable!!! They were truly remarkable and turned a frightened boy into a happy boy with clean teeth. I get that healthcare workers are stressed out, but even before Covid and all the other things, the office staff here are not nice. The dentists and hygienists are quite nice and good at their jobs, but unfortunately, your first line of contact is with people who are so rude and generally miserable that you're not sure if you should feel sorry for them or hang up on them before they hang up on you. Just want to say how very pleased I was to be able to talk to and be heard by a dentist. Dr. Bochner listened to my feelings about the planned prodedure and was able to change the plan to better meet my needs. He is truly one of the most personable dentists I have ever dealt with. He is my new favorite dentist! Patty Manfre his assistant is always very friendly and I have always had a pleasant experience when she assists my dentists. Overall I am pleased with Eastern Dental. Run! Do not walk from this office. This is probably the worst dental office in this or any other state. Came for initial cleaning and xrays. Set up dental plan to repair each of my familys dental needs. My son has invisaligns with a band around his tooth for attachment of tray. They saw a cavity to repair and scheduled an appointment for him as he was leaving to go back to college. We came back in about 8/9 days and they couldnt do anything as the band was in the way. They saw the band at the exam? Still made us waste our time, when the band was still there. Ponderous! Ok, but $35 was paid upfront at appointment. They stated it would be credited back. Well it took 3 calls, 1 in person visit...and 5 weeks to return the $$. Was told at one point they dont credit back the money, not their policy. Not having it. Came for my appointment suddenly a $40 charge was blown to $586(not covered) when in fact it is covered under my plan. As a real laugh, the $35 charge was also a covered charge at 100%. These guys dont belong in business. AT ALL. They lost three in my family with these horrible actions. read more

In all the years we have been coming here (for reduced costs over other plans) we've had to wait months for cleanings, and the dentist actually drilled my husband's tongue during a root canal. When he told them about it, they were quite nonchalant about the whole thing. Thankfully he didn't get an infection. I feel the only time they give good customer service is when you are new. I just tried to make an appointment for a cleaning. The first available is 2nd week in February 2018. I was invited to call back and check on cancellations. Not worth the lower cost. Yes, they cover more than other plans, but it's just not worth it. Shame on you Eastern Dental for taking our money and not being able to provide services in the year you are paid. read more

The worse experience ever! My husband and I gave them our insurance from the beginning. I trusted them; therefore, I never checked my insurance coverages until one day I found out they over-charged us more than 300 dollars. I went to the office and tried to talk to the manager, Cathy. She found all kinds of excuses not to help me and made me wait for 2 hours until she would help me. She told me the office is not allowed to have someone in except patients and asked me to call, but they never answer the phone call and never return the phone call either. I admit to being nervous going to Eastern Dental in Brick after seeing so many negative reviews. This is where my insurance requires, so I decided to go. Called due to a broken tooth, and was given an appt that day. When I was taken in, Samantha was the first clinical person I dealt with. She was so friendly and caring. I explained a bad experience I had with another dentist and she helped ease my anxiety. Dr. Bronner was the dentist that came in to work on my tooth. He was great, explained everything they were going to do, and went over a treatment plan for the future. When I checked out, the financial girl explained what would be done on my next visit and all costs involved. Everyone was friendly and kind, which helped my anxiety level. Thank you! read more

One hour and fifteen minutes later I still had not been seen. People who arrived after me were seen. No explanation given when I asked. I really loathe this place... First, let us begin with the parking lot. For having such a large clientele, wouldn't it make sense to have a parking lot to accommodate more than twenty odd spaces? Secondly, the front desk reception area could use a serious prescription of Xanax; talk about overwork and underpaid. Never have I ever seen a group of women look more depressed day in and day out in my entire life. You would think they are around children all day, that would bring some type of joy in their lives... but alas, the sterile walls of being in a dentist office forty hours a week or more but have gotten to them. Next, the turnaround rate of orthodontists is appalling. In the years I was a patient there, I have seen about two come and go, making three orthos in just over six years. If that doesn't say something... Finally, their customer service is terrible. From back room gossip to blatantly speaking about patients in front of other patients.. this place is a mess. Whomever does the hiring needs to seriously reanalyze these women and do some.... cut-backs. Maybe then this place will get better reviews. read more
