If you're looking for a gentle relaxing massage, this is not the place for you. You are better off going to a spa. With that said, I love the strength they use. I have a ton of knots on my back, and Wendy really spends time and gets in there to work them out. Most other places train their employees to go through a routine and nothing else, but that's not the case here. We always leave here feeling refreshed. I do feel bad that I sometimes ask her to increase the pressure, but she always does happily. Nice decor, I called ahead but it wasn't necessary. On arrival Megan greeted me and was pleasant enough, no wait on an afternoon time slot. Had to pay 1st with a $5 charge added for using cc, a little high but ok, it was posted and ok to add tip after. Glanced at the clock, 3:15 is what I noted. Megan did a good job on my upper and lower back. Good pressure and really leaned into the knots. Less pressure on each leg, it was ok, but wouldn't have minded some more pressure on my calves and hamstrings. A hot towel but no stone/rock massage. Flipped over with some light massage on chest/stomach but limited. Head/scalp massage (I asked) was nice and very relaxing. Then some very light massage on arms with very light massage over the sheet on each leg. So 1st visit, it was just ok. Not a 4 out of 5 so I was slightly disappointed, but the main issue was I felt shorted, the massage ended at 4:05. On the way out I asked Megan and she insisted we started at 3:05. I wasn't going to argue but word to the wise, set your timer at the start of the massage. I have a place I use on the west side that I've been going to for years, and always leave relaxed and satisfied. I wanted a place on the east side but not sure this will be it. DONT GO!! Wow.. meant to post this MONTHS ago and I should've sooner. I had to cool off from this awful experience. I asked the masseuse, who was a younger/middle aged woman with shorter hair to work on my neck as that is a problem area of mine. I have a high pain tolerance and I thought that this pressure (that was actually her nails digging into my neck) was a bit much, but I didn't say much since I didn't want to interrupt and be rude. I told my mom after I left the spa with a red and tender neck and she said it looks fine. Had my boyfriend check the next morning and the woman had actually broke skin and cut me with her nails... How gross and unsanitary, please cut your nails. This experience has literally scarred me from coming here and any other place without proper license representation. read more

I'm all about a cheap hour-massage and have been to this location which is very convenient to my home several times. This location may be under new ownership as there's a new sign that says Grand Opening out front. Price is now $70 cash for 60 minute body massage. You'll pay extra to use a credit card. In the past I would have said this place is average or above average. This time it was really awkward and not great at all. We started at 4pm. During the massage the masseuse burped several times, farted several times, and ANSWERED HER CELL PHONE!!!!! not once but twice. She said it was her boss. Each call took more than a minute. She also complained about how hot she was ("so hot in here") and after 50 minutes she said, "OK all done." There's a clock in the room so, it was very easy to see that it had been exactly 50 minutes. I got dressed and went to the front and handed her exactly $70 no tip. (Usually I would tip 15% or more). She said "No tip?" I said, no, it was 50 minutes, not 60 minutes and not relaxing. She proceeded to yell at me that everybody should tip. I tried to call to let the new owner know about my experience but haven't been able to get through to anyone. This is a terrible place, period. Instead of using fist or finger to add pressure to your body, the lady who has done my massage is simply rubbing my skin with her arm. It is not comfortable nor relaxing. She kept saying it's good for my body while punching my legs and hurting them. Later on, she put a extremely hot towel on my back, it was too hot and it's burning my back. Don't you check for temperature before you put anything hot on a customer? And because of the terrible experience, I only tip her $10, so I got this ugly face on her and yelling thru me to her husband. Lady, it's your obligation to do a good job, and I decide to tip you if I'm satisfied and find it excellent. PS. Guys, if you want to sit on massage chairs where their dog play, go. Awesome experience! I got the whole body with oil and then a separate foot massage all for $40 for a 60 minute message. I'll never do InSpa or Message Envy again. These guys are way better and cheaper. She really gets into the parts that need work. She was especially great with the very low back. I didn't know I was so tense until she found the tension knots. She did some beating and kneading which felt amazing! I also loved the back scrub with a hot towel to get the oil off. This is a professional establishment- no funny business happening here and no weird vibes either. The ambiance is simple and basic- Soft music with water trickling. "foot massage" the guy said as he motioned to go outside of the room... ??? ok? that was a bit odd.. no hamstring, calf, ankle or foot massage? no flip over and continue to shin muscles, quads, hands, forearms, biceps, shoulders, neck and head??? wth? now my gf and i had to get dressed so we could continue to the foot massage in the community room (big open room w/ 5 or 6 chairs/beds). ok... whatever, we'll just go with the flow. started off w/ the foot soak for a few mins and then a foot reflexology massage for the rest of the time. lastly, massage pressure was extremely firm, no kidding, ive had slightly heavy thai ladies walk on my back and that was nothing compared to this. big chinese guy+elbow massage everything+hold it for 30 secs= tender achy muscles the next day. although i love firm massages, this one definitely tested my tolerance for pain. i'll probably be back since the prices are inexpensive. read more

I gave two stars due to the upper back portion of my full-body which was mediocre but the rest of the massage was so unnerving. TWICE in a hour my lady left the room and the first time left the door open?? She used oil for about 20 minutes and then never again on my lower body? Have been going here since they opened on and off. My daughter's favorite place for massages. The staff is friendly and allows you to truly relax. The massages are awesome and you get exactly what you paid for plus. They go above and beyond. I have gone to other massage places and this one is def. the best in the area. The prices are super, esp considering the area that it is located in. They have plenty of chairs for folks and always work to fit you in. I thought it was a misprint when I got the bill, it was $28 for an hour foot massage and back, head, neck, absolutely incredible....I went it just for a foot massage/reflexology...as my feet were killing me from the last couple weeks. I got sooo much more than that...You are fully clothed, so don't wear a suit or anything super nice...they totally work you over. My feet have never felt better and it's so much less expensive than going to physical therapy. I live in the Bothell area and always wanted to go in but never did...I'm glad that I did. I finally stopped in today and I'm so glad I did. I see a new addiction forming... Fan was my masseuse (I hope I got his name right). He really went above and beyond. Totally sweet gentleman and he got his own workout working on me. I went for the Happy Hour Foot Reflexology Massage. It's way more than a foot massage, though. It's really a full body massage (you're clothed for the whole experience, aside from socks and shoes). It's an hour long and only $28! What a screaming deal. Very good value foot/body massage place. Prices start at $25 for 30 minute massage, $29 for 30 min massage and 30 min foot massage. Leave your clothes on, take your shoes and socks off. They have very comfortable beds to recline on, feet are soaked in a basin first. I went here twice, had a different person each time, it was good both times. Bear with me, this one as long. I would advise reading the end if you can't get through it just so you know what I was dealing with. Let me preface my comments by saying that I am a frequent yelp reviewer and I really try not to leave poor reviews unless absolutely necessary. I'm also well familiar with asian foot massage shops and have great respect for how hard these folks work. I found myself up in the area for work and, having a really bad neck/shoulder ache and a headache, I took a break for a $40 (30 minute back, 30 min foot ) massage. I was the only client since it was mid afternoon on a weekday. It was a very hot day out and it was not air-conditioned in there as far as I could tell. No one spoke any English, and they pointed me to the Massage private area in the back. I took my clothes off down to only my bottom underwear, and covered myself with the towel on the table. The guy, Stephan, came in and began. The Massage itself was quite deep pressure, but there was not very much technique. He was a large man and had strong hands, but kept going over the same areas in a way that actually really started to hurt (which I asked him to tone down). So, it got a little bit weird: since I wasn't wearing a bra and was face down for the back massage, his hands kept gliding over the sides of my boobs. I know a little bit of that is probably unavoidable but it started to feel really uncomfortable and I tried to Scooch my arms closer to my sides. Also, his hands went way down and actually touched my butt cheeks repeatedly as part of his strokes down my back. Usually the massage just stops on your very lower back before your ass. I directed him back up to my neck after a while, and he did a little bit of that.. but then it was done, which was fine with me. I got dressed and went out for the foot massage portion. Compared to all of the other foot massages I've had this was by far the worst. He spent very little time on my actual feet and spent most of the time needing my inner calves. I think you get the drill. The worst part of the whole thing was when I went to pay with my debit card it appeared not to be working. Then I tried my credit card and it didn't work with that either. The owner came over and said "bad Wi-Fi. Get cash." I said OK I'll be right back, thinking I would go to the Qfc right next-door, there are no fees for cash. But no, the owner told steven. to walk with me across the parking lot to the chase Manhattan ATM machine where he stood near me while I got the cash. Mind you, it was about 89°, I still have my headache, and now I was really grumpy trying not to be bitchy. I get the cash and realize that I'm going to be paying the Chase fee and my own bank fee as well as the massage. The dude had my $20 bill from when I initially gave it to him to ask him to give me $10 back for tip prior to the whole bank card fiasco.. ARGH! I told him to give me $10 back, and he pretended to be confused until I really pressed it. I don't know what to think about all this but, between it being a sub par Massage and the whole weird bank card situation, I would advise you to choose another place. Fast. read more

This was a terrific, cheap place for a massage. I had a 30-minute body and 30-minute foot massage by Zhang, who was really, really gifted. I have had a lot of massages in my life and I have found that there are some massage therapists who are just on another plane. It's like they have an intuitive sense for bodies and pain, going unerringly to the problematic spots, and he is one of them. Yes, there is a language barrier if you don't speak Mandarin, but that's why it is so cheap. To get someone this good, you would otherwise have to spend a LOT of money. read more

If you are not looking for a fairly deep tissued massage, make sure to tell them light pressure ahead of time. Don't go in expecting a spa atmosphere but for the price it's well worth it. Amazing! My husband and I got a full body massage and they had a couples massage room in the back. It was really relaxing and I had a female masseuse and my husband had a male. As a heads up, for option D with the full body massage, they'll ask you to take your clothes off and get under the sheet (like traditional western massage places). When the moment I stepped in there the lady kept pointing me to the $50 full body massage, I was trying to tell her I want the top of my shoulders done along with my feet. Because she did not speak English, she ended up escorting me to the back room, where I felt not only violated but beaten up. I kept trying to tell her that hurts, softer, again not understanding what I was trying to tell her, This ended up being the worst uncomfortable hour I ever had and couldn't wait for it to stop. During this so called massage she got up onto the table, straddled my back, literally sat on my butt and proceeded to pound on my back. I was so bruised when I left. It has been 7 days since that massage and I still have this dull headache I cannot shake. They are not licensed massage therapist and I have the mind to sue for the service rendered. Finally the massage was over went up to the front desk, I gave her the $50 dollars cash and she said NO TIP, NO TIP. I said No, Tips are deserved and not to be expected, she started yelling at me saying NO, NO, NO. So she does speak some English? But wasn't able to understand why it was not deserved. I walked out and will never step back in there again. I still have a mind to shut that type of service down through small; claims court because although they are allowed to massage your feet without a license they are not allowed by the state of Washington to do full body massage. I should have gone to massage envy and got a professional massage for $39 I forgot to mention, I never did get a foot massage as I requested. read more

Great back massage, lady definitely did not do soft though. Barely used oil and the next day my back was really messed up, but she really got some tough knots out. The foot massage was so-so, didn't really do anything to accomplish, and didn't relax me at all. Probably won't return, it's pretty out of the way.
