I was really looking forward to trying this salon and booked the **Healthier Eco-Friendly Gel Manicure**, along with an additional French manicure service. I want to be fair and clarify that I was happy with the nail technician and with the final appearance of my nails. Unfortunately, the overall experience was made very uncomfortable by the attitude and behavior of the salon owner. When I arrived, I was confused about where to park, so I politely asked the owner whether I had parked in the correct place. Instead of asking where I had parked or offering any helpful guidance, she simply said yes. From the beginning, I did not feel welcomed. Her manner was cold and dismissive, and throughout my visit I felt as though she was treating me with irritation. The service description included a **hand and arm massage**. However, the hand massage lasted only approximately 2-3 minutes, and I did not receive an arm massage at all. Although I was happy with the nail technician and the final appearance of my nails, the full service described was not provided. I had also paid extra for a French manicure. While choosing the color, I asked whether I could use a different base color for the French manicure. The owner gave me what felt like a very unpleasant look and responded rudely and sharply, **"THAT IS EXTRA $5."** I had no issue paying an additional $5 if that was the salon's policy. My concern was the disrespectful and condescending way she communicated it. At checkout, I misunderstood the credit card policy. Because I had entered my card information when booking the appointment, I thought my card had already been charged. As I was leaving, the owner called out, **"Ma'am, you have to pay,"** which made me feel embarrassed. Once she explained that the card was only used to hold the appointment, I understood and paid for the service. After I paid, she questioned me about leaving no tip. I found this extremely uncomfortable and inappropriate, especially because I had already felt unwelcome and upset by the way I had been treated during the visit. Tipping should be the customer's choice, and I did not appreciate being confronted about it. I explained that I had paid for my service and that I was unhappy with the way she had spoken to me. She eventually apologized, but by that point I was already very upset and embarrassed. I want to emphasize that my criticism is not directed at the nail technician. Although she did not do a good job with the hand massage and did not provide the arm massage included in the service, her overall manicure work was good, and I was satisfied with my nails. Unfortunately, the owner's attitude and the failure to provide the full service described overshadowed the quality of the actual manicure. I left feeling uncomfortable, humiliated, and unwelcome. A salon visit should be relaxing and pleasant, but this experience was the opposite. This nail salon is easily my favorite place to relax and unwind. I've visited the bothell spa location many times now for the Versailles Pedicure. It's a divine and a completely rejuvenating experience. I know some reviewers have complained about the, "no talking/phones on silent," rule, but I am honestly all for this rule. It adds to the deeply relaxing environment. I'm happy to receive services from any of the technicians, but I love booking time with Sophia. Very nice place, nice and quiet with soft music playing. No one speaking loudly or talking on their phone. I got the Versailles manicure thinking it would be quite luxurious. After trimming and filing of nails, it consisted of a scrub, cleaning of my cuticles, coconut oil and put in warming gloves. I chose to get my nails buffed rather than polished. A total of 35 minutes - cost, with tip, was $85. Ridiculously steep for what it was. Too many other nail salons could do just as well. read more

I've been to this salon several times and booked different services. The establishment is nice and I love the no talking rule; I am however disappointed that I booked an hour service pedicure and was barely in my seat 50 min before being ushered to pay and leave. When I asked the lady about the hour service, she smiled and said she painted my toes ...ok, that's part of the service but for an extra $30, I expected to get the full hour. All and all, they do a good job but beware of paying extra and not getting the full time. My service was scheduled for 10 and I was out of there before 11, lesson learned. One other side note, there were 3 of us that started at the same time and the other ladies weren't even to the painted toes part before I had paid and left. read more

Truly an oasis and I love the No chatting policy. Pedicure includes epsom salt, ginger powder, and eucalyptus EO. Scrub is all natural and is ground using a present and mortar right before application. Everything was clean and sanitary. Sophia was kind, courteous, and gentle. She took great care. The gel polish on my toes looked perfect. I didn't do polish on my fingers but you can tell that everything was groomed with care. read more

Update: After I wrote my review, the salon owner messaged me to set up a new appointment to apologize. I told her that unfortunately my mom had already left for LA and her nails had started chipping the day after the service, just as mine had. Since it takes me thirty minutes or more to get there and my mom couldn't get hers fixed too at that late date, I asked for a refund. The salon owner saw my message but never replied. I messaged asking for a response multiple times and only got a response today saying they don't do refunds. Moral of the story: do not go here. 100% not worth it. read more

I am very disappointed today- having my usual pedicure at this place. I usually have Katie but she is no longer there. Today, I have Sophia. She was rushing and forgot the scrub. Though she brought the whole tray. The massage was so quick- and it was meh. No smile all the way through the service - just that she maybe in the bad mood all day. It is a miss today, after 4 years coming here- i am not sure i am coming back. They are priced at premium $65. Very dissatisfied. The whole service was done in 20 minutes! 40-50 mins was the average. It's definitely about the service and experience at this nail salon. They are quite different from regular nail salons with only 4 pedi chairs. Love that they expect to be quiet and they put an eye mask on while giving pedicures. I could relax instead of using my phone or looking at the TV. They use recliners and not usual pedi massage chairs. They use all natural ingredients to massage and scrub the feet and they will explain you the process which was pretty cool! They offer water or organic green and I'd suggest go for the tea to enhance the relaxing experience. Wow! This cute little gem of a place is not your regular nail salon, it feels more like a spa! First of all, let met me start by saying that I had not gone to get my nails done in almost a year (since the pandemic started), and I was a little worried about being indoors in close contact with someone and not knowing how diligent they are really being but I was put at ease when I arrived and saw that they have clear signs with instructions to wait until they take your temperature, and even a little chain to prevent people from entering without the employees knowing. Once inside I was asked to wash my hands and my service started (pedi followed by manicure), and that's when it became really obvious that this place is very different from a regular nail salon. They put a warm blanket over your legs that smells like lavender, and they have these amazing chairs that tilt you back to zero gravity and you are able to relax while they exfoliate, wrap, and massage your feet and legs with hot stones; it felt so luxurious! For the manicure I got French tips and they did an amazing job. I loved the ambiance, the music, the huge tv screen with nature images, really everything! Prices are higher than regular nail salons but again, this is not regular nail salon. If you can splurge a little, I highly recommended it. read more

Perfect place for a Mom day, surprised by some of the reviews but not. It clearly says on their website when you book that it's a no talking policy. I specifically only really come here for the pedicures so I can't speak on manicure experiences. The no talking policy is honestly why I come here, I can escape home from the family for some well deserved peace and quiet. This place is relaxing and provide calming entertainment on multiple tvs. The pedicure chairs are comfortable and they offered me a warm blanket. The place is very small but it makes it feel homey. Frustrated by my experience here; uncomfortable experience and rude customer service They weren't the most welcoming on the phone when I scheduled the appointment because there was a glitch with their site. When I came in for the appointment with a visiting friend, we arrived 15 minutes early. They told us we were too early and we weren't welcome yet and had to stand outside. When we were finally allowed in, they began a somewhat painful nail experience; my friend grew dizzy. When the two of us began to talk about the day, they handed us a long laminated paper to read about their protocols and at the very bottom were the words: "no talking". The woman doing our nails then rudely said: "don't talk in here". Had I known this was a no talking establishment, I wouldn't have come in. But this was only on the card and not mentioned to me. The woman made us feel very unwelcome. My nails began to bleed and my friend became dizzy so we stopped after our mani, but they charged us for the full mani and pedi; saying it was within the 24 hour cancellation. They were pretty rude and unwelcoming; we truthfully couldn't get out of there fast enough and don't want to go back. Don't take a friend here to impress them - you'll feel uncomfortable. And guard your cuticals - you'll leave with sore and bleeding fingers and not the greatest painted nail job :( read more

Disappointing. The pedicurist used the hot stones more on my shin bones than the muscles in my lower legs. She seemed to not have any experience to the point I felt sorry for her. Nail polish all over my toenail cuticles. They also ask you to be quiet but the workers are buzzing around and chatting amongst themselves. Finally there's a creepy guy (maybe their boss) that comes in and stares at every customer. Felt like a real demoralizing place to work. Easy to get to, a little hard to spot but it's a secret so I'll give them that. Small on the inside and seemingly clean, it's easy to relax here. The lights are dim. If you get a pedicure or waxing service you can experience the zero gravity chair which holds your weight for you for a while. Thanks, chair. Pros: They honor appt times, it's a nice and relaxing atmosphere. I like their porcelain pedicure tubs, they give you a warm blanket, offer drinks (tea, water, coffee). It's in a nice location with ample parking nearby. The ladies that work their are incredibly nice and they do a good job. The hot stone massage and chairs are really nice. Cons: The male that works there really bothers me and if you look at a lot of other reviews- many other people as well. For that reason, I won't be back. He stands over the ladies and seems to try to be intimidating and domineering. Today he asked me how my service was- right with the woman there- which is weird. Then he asked if I posted a yelp review yet. I think I did one on FB but not on Yelp. It's weird to have someone tell you to do a review. They also opened the door today for whatever reason and I was super cold! I wish their chairs massaged but not a big deal. The past few times my nail polish chipped really early. So I came home and put on an additional coat of clear polish so hopefully it'll last! I always feel a bit rushed and not welcome to stay longer than my appt time- even if no one is there after me. Visited again today for the first time in a while. They have revamped their appointment request system (you may book online with a credit card or call in). I booked online with Katie and do not regret it, only thing I would recommend is getting there 10 or so minutes before your appointment for: parking, to use the washroom, and picking out your polish. The estheticians are professional and great team players. I had both a hand and foot treatment today, while Katie was working on trimming my toe nails and beginning my service, another estheticians ground up the ingredients to be used for my salt scrub and the separate ingredients used for my leg masks. This beautique eliminated the service I had last time, so this go around I did the Botanical Hand Treatment and the Versailles Foot treatment--no regrets! Nice and clean salon, quiet atmosphere, and estheticians who take pride in your comfort and quality service. I will return. read more

Updated review... I still love this place although the man (I think who owns it) is not friendly and slightly intimidating, as he stands around watching all his employees. He goes around opening and closing doors. One time I was there he left the front door open for some reason to air the place out and it was freezing inside. Other women were also commenting. Last appointment I went to, as I was walking out and slowly closing the door behind me, from the inside he came and shut it abruptly as we left. It was odd. I wish he wouldn't stand around or pace it doesn't make it so relaxing. The women who work there are wonderful especially Sophia. She's extremely sweet and friendly. I'll probably still go back and try to relax even if he pacing and door opening and closing is happening. I like their business model, the owner could be more friendly himself. read more

The service was great, the inside was beautiful and comfortable, so I had high hopes. The biggest issue is the quality of the service. My nails started chipping within 24 hours, and looking at the thickness of the polish, its super thin so I can't say I'm surprised. The second issue is I had no idea when booking over the phone that we would not be able to chat during our pedis. It's such an unusual policy, I don't know why I wouldn't be informed of this at booking. Had a manicure with Sofia on August 17. Went there because they offer Dazzle Dry polish, very disappointed 8/10 nails already chipping off, it is a long lasting polish. Guessing their polishes must be old, as she followed the process that Gene Juarez does, but for $57, includes small tip, $52 for service I am very disappointed in quality of the service. She did a very nice oil and hot stone massage on my hands but the primary reason I wanted the service was for nice polish that would last at least one week!
