We put out baby to bed on a Saturday night and by Sunday morning she was bleeding bad. I called him early that morning and he said I will be right over, which meant him getting out of bed early on a Sunday morning to drive to our house in the rain, and he let her go to her next journey in life. This was 10 years ago. I cannot tell you enough that Dr. Amin showed so much compassion to us and our baby and has continued to do so with all our babies. Now, I just saw a post for 12/29/25, and I found this post to be very upsetting. Never in all my years of going to Dr. Amin and I might say my first visit with him as well, did he say we ask to many questions. I have never found him to be of the culture of getting money out of the patient. In fact, he has always been about saving his patients money. So, for this person to state something so negative is absolutely absurd. So, with my ending statement on this matter, it is a good thing you did find another vet, as you are not worthy of such an amazing vet. Dr. Amin is one of the most caring vets I have met. I have long been a fan of Dr Shah and he was my family's long time vet starting when I was just a…read moreteen. I was thrilled when he began practicing in the area again after a few years hiatus. Since he came back he treated both of my cats with expertise and compassion and his diagnosis and treatments were spot on. While most vets try to push expensive testing he was honest with treatment options keeping our budget in mind. Since his return I have found that he isn't quite as hands on as in the past, with his assistants handling situations and doing things he used to do himself. The wait till you're seen also seems lengthier than in the past. But overall we have been very pleased with his services. Recently we had to put our older cat down. We've had her almost two decades and my husband was very upset with the outcome. I admit I was hurt when two weeks later we still didn't receive a sympathy card, which was standard procedure in the past. I was even more hurt when I called to inquire and was told that they didn't put "any animals down" recently, only they did, mine, and I needed to remind them of that. After my call they did send my husband a card which he appreciated but I felt that I shouldn't of had to prompt something they should have done on their own. I'm brushing it off as just an oversight on their end. With that being said the whole experience was very emotional for all of us, my husband mostly, as he was the one at that final appointment. He was undecided on what to do with her remains and they were compassionate and worked with him through that decision. Since we don't plan on getting another animal we probably won't be back. My extended family's pets are still patients, leaving their temporary vet practices when the doctor came back to town. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Shah or his staff, or any practice he's a part of, to anyone seeking a reputable, knowledgeable, and sincere veterinarian.

I had to ask the vet techs to test him for FIV/FeLV and to vaccinate him. he had halitosis and some yellow teeth and he never mentioned anything about this. he had ear mites and treated him and cat still has ear mites (and I've been treating him OTC and made him a new vet appt). I literally left the appointment with knowing nothing more about this cat than when I came in. for the best interest of your pets, I'd go to a different vet. I've been a life-long pet owner and this was by far the most disappointing appointment I've had. I felt like my cat was never even seen.
