We've trusted the doctors there with our precious friends for all that time but the compassionate, honest care we always experienced has been compromised. In the last year, we've brought two of our dear friends to the vet, ready to part ways due to their age and the health conditions they were experiencing, only to be talked out of doing the right thing to instead try some expensive treatment to prolong lives that were no longer what they deserved, only to have to return a day or so later to do what we'd been ready to do at the previous visit. It's like loosing them twice. Neither of them deserved an extension to their pain and suffering. This latest hurt is still fresh, but I don't know if I can trust anyone there again other than Dr. Steed. It's not about money, it's about treating the end of their lives with the gravity and dignity they deserved, rather than being fed false hopes for a hopeless situation.

All of this was for urinary infection and bladder stones that are made up of mostly calcium. I am not sure if this will re-occur or not and neither does Neffsville. $10,711 for urinary infection and bladder stones, including follow-up visits seems like a money machine in and out and pay high costs, at least to me.

We started going for their puppy socializing program when he was just five or six months old. He was introduced to new people, sounds, smells, and other typical vet stuff in addition to getting good play time with other pups his age and size. It was invaluable exposure for a breed that's known for both their general aloofness and aversion to being touched/groomed. Our pup is over a year old now and has outgrown the puppy program, but we continue to take him for daycare once a week and he still loves it. Nick and the resort team are fantastic to work with - easy scheduling, good communication, reasonable rates, and they are always just as happy to see my boy as he is to see them on his daycare days. It's convenient to get his shots/boosters scheduled while he's there for the days as well as the occasional nail trimming. We haven't taken advantage of the groomers yet, or the trainers, but those are two more convenient services they offer. We have boarded him for a couple overnights and one longer weekend and he has been comfortable and comes home happy and tired every time. Since the pandemic started, they have offered curbside service as an option, and they use the PetDesk app, which makes tracking Billings and loyalty points a snap (the more services you pay for, the more perks you earn - like a free nail clipping or free night boarding, etc.). But for those less tech savvy, or just not interested in downloading another app, they're also excellent at picking up the phone when you call and quickly and professionally taking care of whatever you need with email or printed bills for your records. My pup and I really cannot recommend the Neffsville team enough. And I know they have a great vet staff who specialize in the common domestic pets as well as some surprising ones like tarantulas, snakes, and rodents. Follow them on social and you'll see what a wonderful staff they have and all the great services they offer. You won't be disappointed!

When the time came Dr. Keller gave me the time to say goodbye, and he teared up with me. I received a sympathy card with a note from him. It said he hoped I would get another dog because I was a good owner and any dog would be lucky if they were going to be with me. Took me five years but I now have another dog, Charlie, who had a tough life at a puppy mill as a stud. He was discarded by the breeder and I was lucky enough to adopt him. Not only was Dr. Jen not afraid of my fur baby (she's a nice cat) but she has a great quirky sense of humor that I appreciate. She just let us know that our cat had a cold but didn't show signs of infection ("not blowing yellow or green snot bubbles" lol) so our cat didn't need further treatment which we were very relieved to hear since we let her know that we have a low budget. She did recommend a supplement which we got at PetSmart. It has a pretty strong bad odor. Cats are way more picky than dogs on what they'll consider eating (smell, taste and even texture). We tried hiding it in a Greenies pill pocket but she could still smell it and walked away. If it were necessary medicine I could have forced her to take it but it was just a recommended daily supplement. I wasn't going to force her to take it every day. She'd get afraid of me. I am already aware that my cat has periodontal disease and isn't up to date on vaccines, which btw rabies isn't even necessary every 3 years, FVRCP might be necessary annually but our cats stay indoors at all times. She didn't push vaccines on my cat and she didn't push getting oral surgery to fix the periodontal disease and probably extract a couple teeth, which would have been plenty expensive. Now, I prefer Dr. Jen and don't mind taking my fur baby to be examined by her which isn't necessary often anyway. Five stars all around for the staff and clinic!
