I drive 50 miles and took one hour and 40 minutes of my time for this experience as an established customer for being eleven (11) minutes late with a silent office and waiting toom. There was no offer from the front desk to talk with the veterinarian in the office. I hope that the veterinary office or the veterinarian will contact me with an apology. We shall see if they do. It will be hard to come back to this office with my pets, seen there before, without hearing from them about this.

Our first stop was at the equally excellent Shores Emergency Vet, who suggested that we might try Hershey due to an expected long wait. We made the trek to Hershey and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. Part of this was luck as we arrived at a quiet time on a Saturday morning. The rest of the experience was a testament to the professionalism and compassion of the entire clinic team. We were greeted by a friendly front desk team, and were soon triaged by a veterinary tech. After a brief wait, a veterinary nurse examined our boy in preparation for the veterinarian's exam. The only time we were separated from our boy was when the nurse took him to another area to collect a urine sample. The treatment team was kind and compassionate and went to great lengths to explain what was happening and discuss a treatment plan. They were understanding and respectful of our wishes to keep our little guy comfortable snd support his remaining quality of life, We are extremely grateful for our experience with Hershey Animal Emergency Center and feel blessed that the team was there for us at a very difficult time.

Upon arrival, front desk staff offered to help clear our car as our dog created a mess during transport. The nurses and doctors were very transparent, thorough, and amazing. We couldn't have been happier with the treatment our dog received and the professionalism and dedication of every single staff member. We received updates throughout the night and early morning which kept us calm. Our pup make a full recovery and we were able to bring him home the following day. They made an absolutely miserable experience for us as pleasant as possible. I'd rate them 15 out of 5 stars if I could.

Since he came back he treated both of my cats with expertise and compassion and his diagnosis and treatments were spot on. While most vets try to push expensive testing he was honest with treatment options keeping our budget in mind. Since his return I have found that he isn't quite as hands on as in the past, with his assistants handling situations and doing things he used to do himself. The wait till you're seen also seems lengthier than in the past. But overall we have been very pleased with his services. Recently we had to put our older cat down. We've had her almost two decades and my husband was very upset with the outcome. I admit I was hurt when two weeks later we still didn't receive a sympathy card, which was standard procedure in the past. I was even more hurt when I called to inquire and was told that they didn't put "any animals down" recently, only they did, mine, and I needed to remind them of that. After my call they did send my husband a card which he appreciated but I felt that I shouldn't of had to prompt something they should have done on their own. I'm brushing it off as just an oversight on their end. With that being said the whole experience was very emotional for all of us, my husband mostly, as he was the one at that final appointment. He was undecided on what to do with her remains and they were compassionate and worked with him through that decision. Since we don't plan on getting another animal we probably won't be back. My extended family's pets are still patients, leaving their temporary vet practices when the doctor came back to town. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Shah or his staff, or any practice he's a part of, to anyone seeking a reputable, knowledgeable, and sincere veterinarian.

I literally left the appointment with knowing nothing more about this cat than when I came in. for the best interest of your pets, I'd go to a different vet. I've been a life-long pet owner and this was by far the most disappointing appointment I've had. I felt like my cat was never even seen.

Dr Fracica has been caring for my animals for over twenty years; a total of three dogs, five cats,…read moreand one stray, from the date of their adoption to the date several of them crossed the bridge. She's always gone above and beyond, in some cases spending her personal time researching difficult symptoms, and helping us meet each animal's medicinal and nutritional needs in a way that supports their long term health. She saved the lives of two of my cats (litter mates) who had struvite crystals, and compassionately helped us let go of two cats whose illnesses were beyond treatment. Most recently, she drove 45 minutes, accompanied by a vet tech, to my home, to gently euthanize my almost 15 year old Australian Shepherd, when his size, and severe arthritis made it impossible to get him into my car. Thanks to Dr. Fracica, his last moments were spent in the home he loved, peaceful, and without stress. I can not recommend her highly enough. She truly loves animals, and it shows in every encounter she has with them. As for the other reviews I've read here, it's difficult to understand criticism from people who haven't followed the recommended treatment plan, or can't put themselves in the place of another client whose pet needs immediate emergency care. Personally, I would appreciate that these cases are triaged based on immediate need, because the next time, it could be MY pet. Seriously, don't hesitate to trust your pet's care to Dr. Fracica. Lady llevaba 20 minutos convulsando y era la primera vez que pasaba, hay que imaginar la desesperación que teníamos mi esposo y yo. Nos dijeron que teniamos que ir a la sala de emergencia que nos quedaba a 20 minutos más, que por el tráfico se convirtió en 35 minutos y las convulsiones no pararon en todo ese tiempo. Como es posible que no mostraran ningún interés en la salud de mi mascota, como es posible que no se tomarán un momento para acercarse a mirarla . Que poco profesionales son. Lady ahora tiene secuelas por el tiempo que estuvo con las convulsiones... Las tres personas que nos atendieron en recepción fueron negligentes he insensibles. Gracias a la sala de emergencia PETS Emergency por su profesionalismo y sobre todo por la sensibilidad hacia mi mascota.
