I have been meaning to go here for years and now regret not having tried it sooner! Came here early on a Saturday night and it was extremely chill. The wait staff, especially Molly, was extremely nice and welcoming! To the point where I thought she wanted my name for the tag but nope, just to be able to call us both by name! We tried the rum run, old fashion, red sangria, rackham's dip and fowl play (wings). The drinks are good and the food is fabulous! Guard-your -dip -from -your -partner level fabulous. This is an awesome tiki bar with a laid-back atmosphere and a great tropical vibe. We tried the rum bucket--it's only $18 and definitely packs a punch. The drinks were strong, the wait staff was super friendly, and I'd absolutely go back. read more

Place is pretty groovy it's got a weird name Don't know how it goes with the tiki theme but it's pretty cool. Didn't try the food unfortunately barbecue at a tiki place sounds interesting. There's plenty of room, lots of cool spots to hang out tables, booths a nice big bar. Pretty neat area and they've got the tiki theme down. They came over and got us drinks pretty quick and kept coming back to check on us, they weren't that busy so who knows what happens when this place gets jumping, but the service when we stopped was on good. They had the Sharknado DJing and he was actually pretty good not too crazy loud but just enough crazy to keep it interesting. I like the concept of a tiki bar especially one that has barbecue but this place just didn't do it for me or my friends. Typically tiki bars are dark almost to the point of being pitch black inside with your eyes taking a few minutes to adjust. This place was very bright upon entering. It has more of a Key West/Margaritaville vibe. Nothing was wrong with that but we were thinking more dark Polynesian typical tiki versus tropical beach. The drinks were average maybe slightly overpriced but not too crazy. None of the tiki drinks really stood out though. I did see people ordering barbecue and it looked very good. I'm not opposed to coming back to try the BBQ. read more

They have nailed the camp tiki aesthetic in the most perfect way possible. Sierra is a fabulous bartender/server and I couldn't get enough of the vibes. officially this location doesn't have a kitchen, but food is on offer from smoke Lotus barbecue next-door but you don't actually have to walk outside to get it; it's a business within a business (or so always to be). 10/10 wholeheartedly recommend! Fun atmosphere for sure, decorated like you're in Key West & the air-conditioning inside is on high- I was freezing. The staff were awesome by the way, super attentive, kind and sweet. But...I'm really sorry, the drinks were way too sweet (I even asked for less sweet in my House Margarita) and the Old Fashioned was just okay-also too many small cubes of ice. We ended up moving outside as they have a decent size patio to warm up and enjoy the sunshine. Glad we tried it out as it seems like a fun place. Plenty of parking on their lot and it seemed like multiple people were coming for the BBQ which is also located here. read more

This was our first time here, the impetus of which being a friend of my husband was playing an exotica music set there, this evening. Roland Remington is worth the trip! But it is kind of a cool place, not quite a tiki bar per se, more of a tiki VFW hall atmosphere. The tables were crowded, the chair mismatched and full of the cigarette burns of yesterday. And it was oddly bright. The staff was all friendly and nice, but the crowd was kind of a mixed bag; stoic, bordering on gruff. A few people were laid back and cool, but it was a very clique-y scene. I enjoyed the drinks, but they were not the most inventive tiki cocktails I've had. All in all, it was an interesting experience, and I would probably go back if there was an event that piqued my interest, but it wouldn't be my usual hang-out. read more

Went for Happy Hour this week, got some great beachy drinks for inexpensive. If you join their rewards membership program thing, you get a double discount for Happy Hour! Highly recommend the Rum Bucket or the Rum Runner. Also amazing that they have mocktails for the folks who don't drink, especially since I'm seeing more and more people taking a break from booze. I love this place, and plan on taking advantage of having a fun new bar in the area. Great, unique theme and wonderful staff! read more

I have wandered into this fine establishment on My various raccoon themed travels multiple times. It is a riveting experience, if not a little haphazardly thrown together. The staff, on the three or so occasions i have wagged my tail through here, are kind, cordial, and quick to explain the rules! I am not much of a drinker, but the offerings of succulent barbecue were enough to get my tail wagging. However, the food part is very confusing. The BBQ stand is not actually apart of the tiki bar; it is its own business tucked in an awkward corner away from all of the tiki assortment. Unfortunately, I must declare that the folks working the BBQ side of the establishment do not have the same wonderful demeanor that the Tiki Bar staff does. I and multiple other guests were slightly accosted for asking for substitutions or information as to what items are included with our order. read more

We unfortunately came on a day of heavy rain and the lobby was flooded when we got there, though the staff worked quickly to clean it up. The ambiance was delightful with straw huts and shuffleboard. most tiki drinks are a little sweet for my taste, but the Grouper was a very well balanced bourbon cocktail that hit the spot. read more

Great new addition to the Park!!! Lots of mocktails and boat drinks that are reasonably priced . You can see the attention to detail with the Key West and Tiki Theme. A large selection of botttled beers and rum punches. I liked the cute cabana booths . I ordered a mocktail that was amazing and a Mezcal cocktail. They do not serve food , but will be bringing in food trucks soon and have the Smoked Lotua BBQ in house to order from. This place is off the beaten path, but a super quick walk or bike ride from Ferndale ! I can't wait to try more drinks soon what a cool atmosphere !! read more

We really enjoyed this place. We sat outside on the patio and it was really nice. The smoked meats were great, try the pastrami, it was incredible. They kept bringing us out samples to try which was a nice touch. Parking was across the street. read more

Came here for my buddys engagement party and I'll have to tell ya it's a pretty cool place. Didn't stay for long but the Smokehouse connected to it inside smelt and looked pretty good. I'll have to come here hungry next time. Kinda ate beforehand because from what I found it was just a tiki bar that served drinks. Crowd seemed pretty chill no matter who walked through the doors and the staff were very cool as well. Pool table looked even and clean also so next time I'll come dressed to play some stick. read more

The vibe is awesome. My girl and I just happen to notice it while driving and decided to spot and I'm glad we did. The drinks were amazing and the price wasn't unreasonable. The employees were super nice and they seemed very happy working there. Definitely will be back since we are so close. Just visited EPC this evening. My new favorite place for a drink with friends or family. Delicious drinks, super fun decor, cool games and incredibly friendly staff. The word charming comes to mind. Delightful experience. Too hot for the patio today but can't wait to visit again and sit outside. Such a cool and wonderful little oasis on a hot day. I get that someone wanted to do a tiki bar in Hazel Park, untapped real estate, but this place is certainly lacking. Upon first impressions, it looks like a KFC hall that someone decorated with a beach/tiki theme for a 40th birthday party. Too much space with little ambiance. Also, sitting at the bar you look straight into the men's bathroom. Doors not included? The drinks were too sweet and I didn't even finish mine which is saying a lot for $14 bucks! I get that times are hard for restaurants and bars but you're not going to keep people coming back for those prices and the lack luster first impressions.
