Happened to stop in during Arts, Beats, and Eats with my 6 year old daughter. Although it was a BEAUTIFUL day, the sun was getting to her a lil bit, and she needed to eat while sitting and resting. Upon entering, there was a sign that read to seat yourself, inside or out. There was a full complimentary water station, and I observed many people coming in just to use the restroom. Staff were extremely friendly and service was fast. I've never heard of this establishment before, but I will DEFINITELY be coming back...and will bring friends. Oak City Grille, THANK YOU! Attending large events like this causes anxiety in many different people for many different reasons. Stopping in your establishment made the entire experience more enjoyable...and the truffle fries were amazing as well!

We came to see a musician friend perform and he was great. We also saw a bit of the act that followed him who was also very good, so I suspect they draw a lot of good music acts. I didn't look at the menu before we went - I expected typical bar food, but this was definitely a step above that. My wife and I shared a Caesar salad (huge!) and some soft pretzel sticks - they were yummy and it was more than enough food. Others at the table had tacos, a chicken sandwich and lemon chicken and everyone really enjoyed their food. We'll definitely be back...for the music AND the food!

Work hosted our after conference dinner here. Great place for groups. Live music in evenings. Proficient waitresses and bar staff. For starters we had the Calamari and Crab Cakes which were delicious. I tried the Tennessee old fashioned- not a fan! The Lobster Ravioli And Baked Shrimp was so yummy! I would come back just for this dish!!!

We ate here on a busy Friday night. I think everyone was out looking for a place to eat since it was a beautiful night. We got lucky and spotted an open 2 top and the sign said 'seat yourself', so we did! Our table was right under an overhang, partly in / partly out, so it was perfect. Also great for people watching since we had people strolling by as we ate. I ordered the red trout, my bf got a burger. I loved mine, I asked to substitute a side salad for the rice (which I usually don't like) and they did. My fish was cooked really well and had nice flavors with the lemon and capers. My bf's burger seemed a bit rare to me, he ordered it medium, but it was pretty red inside, so he ate the edges and left the middle. I also had a cucumber collins which was too delicious, requiring me to have a 2nd one. Cucumber vodka, simple syrup, soda, lime, mint and bitters. Yum. I'd say the only thing I struggled with was our seating. The chairs were too far from the table and couldn't be pulled up any closer requiring me to lean over to eat. They are also metal chairs which don't work well with my skinny butt. Service was a bit slow, but I know all the restaurants are struggling, so no knock there.

    Southwest Chicken Tacos

My review is based off of a ONE OFF EXPERIENCE, so take it with a grain of salt. However, as a taco lover the Southwest Chicken Tacos were awful. They were overly charred so it was all I could taste almost rendering them inedible. Also, the Tostito looking chips just made the whole thing even sillier. Maybe this place is good, but the tacos were NOT GOOD.

I was just stopping in for a drink so this review will be short. They had a pub crawl going on and it was difficult to find somewhere to grab a drink. This place came recommended. I was surprised to see live entertainment on a sat at 3:30. But they had a great singer there. It was a nice touch and he was very good. The place was moderately busy. But I was able to sit at the bar. They didn't have a huge variety of beers, but I ordered an IPA. I didn't get any food it was one and done while waiting for friends. I would probably come back.

Since moving to Royal Oak, this has become my favorite bar! The service is always super friendly, the food is always delicious, and the drinks are great! Some favorites are the flatbread pizzas and the sliced sirloin appetizer. The menu has something for everyone, including vegetarians. Such a gem!!

Always a fun time. Great for a girls or guys night out but also good for a date night. Good food. Good strong drinks. And very busy on the weekends. Great location if you want to do some bar hopping so many other places around.

The risotto was cooked to perfection and topped with a delightful roasted tomato/olive medley. My husband's meal was fabulous--I believe I will order it the next time O visit. Dessert? We opted to share one scoop of the Lime-Cucumber-Mint Sorbet ($7). This is a dairy-free option, so the texture is slightly grainy compared to ice cream, but the flavor was perfect for summer. Hostess was very attentive and she seated us promptly as we arrived for our reservation. She was hustling all night. Interior was nice and clean, the chairs were extremely comfortable. I was a little sticker shocked at the prices, but I was not aware that each entree is served with soup, salad, and a side. Given that the prices were more acceptable for a steak house type atmosphere. They have a bar for cocktails but no beer on draft, I thought that was a little odd. Bread basket was very good. Warm and fresh bread with some rub of the milk bread sticks and crackers. French onion soup was very good. Although might have been a little over reduced. I would prefer that over a watery alternative. Salad was just a plate of lettuce, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes, with dressing. Nothing special. No cheese or croutons. Steak and potato - first off if multiple people order the same steak at the table they should all be about the same size. That was not the case. The person we were there celebrating had a wonderfully cut and cooked steak. Was about twice the size of mine and a very nice cut. Mine was significantly smaller and a good 1/4 of it was a fat hunk that my dogs got to enjoy. Also the cooks were not as expected. Mine was to be medium rare and the others medium. Mine was medium to medium well. The potato was odd, I've never seen a potato served unopened and dry - no butter. Only a small dollop of sour cream in the side. I asked for baked potato with butter - I'm glad we still had some left over from the bread basket. Finally we were there for the start of the live music. Not sure they have to sing happy birthday for each individual person. We got it five times and then once more with a late arrival. The music was loud and took away from the setting. Finally a big pet peeve is not bringing the check and then taking forever to cash us out. Table is cleared left overs boxed up let us leave! Would I go back maybe. If I had a choice between Texas Roadhouse steak or a Clawson Steakhouse steak I'm choosing Roadhouse.
