Happened to stop in during Arts, Beats, and Eats with my 6 year old daughter. Although it was a BEAUTIFUL day, the sun was getting to her a lil bit, and she needed to eat while sitting and resting. Upon entering, there was a sign that read to seat yourself, inside or out. There was a full complimentary water station, and I observed many people coming in just to use the restroom. Staff were extremely friendly and service was fast. I've never heard of this establishment before, but I will DEFINITELY be coming back...and will bring friends. Oak City Grille, THANK YOU! Attending large events like this causes anxiety in many different people for many different reasons. Stopping in your establishment made the entire experience more enjoyable...and the truffle fries were amazing as well!

Caesar Salad

We came to see a musician friend perform and he was great. We also saw a bit of the act that followed him who was also very good, so I suspect they draw a lot of good music acts. I didn't look at the menu before we went - I expected typical bar food, but this was definitely a step above that. My wife and I shared a Caesar salad (huge!) and some soft pretzel sticks - they were yummy and it was more than enough food. Others at the table had tacos, a chicken sandwich and lemon chicken and everyone really enjoyed their food. We'll definitely be back...for the music AND the food!

Work hosted our after conference dinner here. Great place for groups. Live music in evenings. Proficient waitresses and bar staff. For starters we had the Calamari and Crab Cakes which were delicious. I tried the Tennessee old fashioned- not a fan! The Lobster Ravioli And Baked Shrimp was so yummy! I would come back just for this dish!!!

Outdoor dining on a hot night .

We ate here on a busy Friday night. I think everyone was out looking for a place to eat since it was a beautiful night. We got lucky and spotted an open 2 top and the sign said 'seat yourself', so we did! Our table was right under an overhang, partly in / partly out, so it was perfect. Also great for people watching since we had people strolling by as we ate. I ordered the red trout, my bf got a burger. I loved mine, I asked to substitute a side salad for the rice (which I usually don't like) and they did. My fish was cooked really well and had nice flavors with the lemon and capers. My bf's burger seemed a bit rare to me, he ordered it medium, but it was pretty red inside, so he ate the edges and left the middle. I also had a cucumber collins which was too delicious, requiring me to have a 2nd one. Cucumber vodka, simple syrup, soda, lime, mint and bitters. Yum. I'd say the only thing I struggled with was our seating. The chairs were too far from the table and couldn't be pulled up any closer requiring me to lean over to eat. They are also metal chairs which don't work well with my skinny butt. Service was a bit slow, but I know all the restaurants are struggling, so no knock there.

Southwest Chicken Tacos

My review is based off of a ONE OFF EXPERIENCE, so take it with a grain of salt. However, as a taco lover the Southwest Chicken Tacos were awful. They were overly charred so it was all I could taste almost rendering them inedible. Also, the Tostito looking chips just made the whole thing even sillier. Maybe this place is good, but the tacos were NOT GOOD.

I was just stopping in for a drink so this review will be short. They had a pub crawl going on and it was difficult to find somewhere to grab a drink. This place came recommended. I was surprised to see live entertainment on a sat at 3:30. But they had a great singer there. It was a nice touch and he was very good. The place was moderately busy. But I was able to sit at the bar. They didn't have a huge variety of beers, but I ordered an IPA. I didn't get any food it was one and done while waiting for friends. I would probably come back.

Since moving to Royal Oak, this has become my favorite bar! The service is always super friendly, the food is always delicious, and the drinks are great! Some favorites are the flatbread pizzas and the sliced sirloin appetizer. The menu has something for everyone, including vegetarians. Such a gem!!

Always a fun time. Great for a girls or guys night out but also good for a date night. Good food. Good strong drinks. And very busy on the weekends. Great location if you want to do some bar hopping so many other places around.

Walking in, there was very limited seating and about an hour wait, which clearly showed how popular this spot is. Thankfully, the hostess told us about their basement bar area where you can grab drinks and snacks while waiting. The downstairs area had such a cool speakeasy vibe dark ambiance, vinyl music playing, and honestly the perfect date night atmosphere. The drinks were REALLY good, and you can also order appetizers down there. Once we made it upstairs, we grabbed bar seating and talked to a few people around us who all said this was their favorite spot. Our bartender was amazing -- super attentive, explained the menu well, and gave great recommendations. We ordered the wings (perfectly seasoned and so good) and the chicken sandwich with buffalo added for a little spice... absolutely delicious. I also tried the pistachio martini, and wow definitely one of my favorite drinks I've had in a while. Overall, such a great experience from the atmosphere to the food and service. I'll definitely be back, and I've already been telling all my friends about this place!

Then someone politely said y'all must be looking for downstairs. Sure were! As it turned out, we were escorted downstairs to what people refer to as the Vinyl Room. The people working here were so friendly and personable with literally everyone that walked in the door. The service was top notch. It is also the most adorable place giving vibes of Lamy's food counter at Henry Ford Museum. I loved all of the options on the menu and it was so hard just picking a couple items to try. We had chicken tacos. They were so good and so fresh, I loved the sauce on top. Honestly, I am not sure if it was cheese or a sour cream type mixture, but it was creamy and flavorful. I also had the torta which was absolutely incredible. It had the same chicken as the taco. The chicken was slow cooked or stewed and shredded and was so flavorful, like a homecooked chef's kiss. The bread was fresh. I loved the sauce poured over it, making it a dipped and soaked sandwich. The carrots and cilantro, sliced radishes and sliced fresh jalapenos added a level of crunch, freshness and deeper flavor profile. I would want to get this every time. We also tried their delicious "curly" fries, which were like julienned shoestring fries fired fresh. It seemed like every dish was made fresh and right in front of you. So worth it, plus the prices are great. I would love to try their fried chicken plate, their breakfast sandwiches, and their other desserts. We talked to the man behind the counter who seemed like maybe a manager. He gave us their famous chocolate chip cookie to try. It was fresh baked and delicious. I would love to take home more of those. It looked so simple but was better than many bakeries specializing in cookies alone. He also gave us an second order of fries to take home with my leftovers, just top notch kindness and service. This man told us that OWL owns other restaurants and we would probably like them. I am open to trying more of their group but I do want to return here. This is one of those diners you would find being profiled for best kept secret or gourmet home cooked foods under the guise of fast food.

This is undeniably a fantastic burger, probably one of the best I've had in Michigan so far. The…read morequality and consistency are great, though I honestly think the meat would shine even more as a traditional 1/4 or 1/2 pound patty rather than a smash burger. A thicker cut would really let you taste the high-quality flavor of the beef. If you're going to order, here are a few pro tips: Get the sauce on the side: It's an excellent sauce, but you are much better off dipping. Otherwise, the burger will totally get drenched and lose the meat flavor profile. The bacon situation: They smash little bits of bacon directly into the patty. You can barely taste it this way, and it would be significantly better just served as traditional strips on top. So I would prob get it without next time. The Tallow Fries: These have huge potential, but unfortunately, mine arrived pretty soggy via delivery. I should have thrown them in the air fryer to crisp them back up, as I know they would be amazing fresh out of the fryer dripping in tallow. And they would have worked much better as larger almost steak cut fries to let the tallow flavor shine more. However as i ate them, i would still choose cajun 5 guys fries well done over them. My order for a burger and fries came to almost $40 (including tip) through their delivery service. Is it worth that price point for a delivery order? Probably not. However, the core ingredients are so good that I definitely plan to visit the restaurant in person so I can experience the food fresh and at its best.

Deep sigh. Marrow please don't start messing with excellence. I'm leaving this a 4 star review…read morebecause up until this point, I have LOVED Marrow. The smash burgers are fire. I've gotten my Thanksgiving turkey from here. They often have yummy soups (especially the chorizo chowder). All of the being said, I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED today. My bf and I typically get one burger and one turkey sandwich and exchange halves. Today the turkey was awful and I threw it away uneaten. You changed everything that made it delicious. Today it was on the hard ciabatta roll. The turkey was just slices slapped on the bread when it used to be kind of shredded. There was no spicy giardenera.. The brie was just some sort of melted brie slices when before it was a brie fondue sauce. I wanted to cry. This is the quickest way to lose customers.. changing what's tried and true
