D&T Garage in Lewes, Delaware, has been a trusted ally for over 11 years. They've come to my rescue multiple times, including when I needed a new alternator in December 2024 after a breakdown on Coastal Highway They're experts at diagnosing problems. They used dye to find the oil leak and figured out that the engine oil gasket was the culprit. They fixed it up and my car was running like a charm again. Jason, the mechanic, took the time to explain everything in detail, so I felt totally confident. The steering issue was a bit nerve-wracking, but Jason showed me how the tires had play in them and made me realize I had to tackle this problem head-on. So I went back again recently for a simple oil change and was charged $112. Thought that was high but I just shrugged it off as a result of these inflationary times. I then got a quote of $160 to replace air and cabin filters. They had to be ordered so I said I would be back when called. On my way home I stopped and got quotes in a place close to my home. They quoted me $60 for the oil change and $100 for the filters. That's a difference of nearly $100 for those routine services! I don't know about you, but I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. The new owner needs to do a reality check if he wants to keep the "old" and any new customers.
