I was recommended Bayside Auto Care by friend who knew Alex-the owner as a professional mechanic working on Delmarva for over 15 years. He is experienced auto repair guy with domestic and foreign trucks and cars. My Mercedes Truck has around 200,000 miles and lately it was hard to get it started. This auto repair shop is conveniently located around intersection of Route 54 and Route 20 in Selbyville, DE, right across from Harris Teeter Shopping Center. It took me about 15 minutes to get to his shop from North Ocean Pines. The auto repair shop is equipped with all brand new equipment from Lifts and Tire balancing Machine to Air compressor and Snap-On wrenches. I thought that I would need a new battery or starter, but after computer diagnostic and test-drive, Alex told me that I would need to replace crankshaft sensor. In a timely and professional manner my truck was ready by next day. After complimentary hot cup of coffee in the beautiful waiting area I paid my bill and got back on the road. Bay Side Auto Care saved me hundreds of dollars by been honest with me, not trying to sell me parts I didn't need to replace. Good Mechanics are always try to find. I found the right repair shop. My son was at the beach with his friends when my minivan oil pressure went low. He pulled over and realized all the oil was leaking from my car. We live 2 1/2 hours away. My husband looked around to find something close to where my son was staying and saw this shop had good ratings. We had the van towed to this shop. They diagnosed the problem, gave us a fair estimate and ordered the part. As soon as they got the part, they stayed late to fix so that my son could drive it home. Just bought a used car and A/C wasn't working. I took it to well known mechanic in Ocean City. He showed me some green stuff on A/C lines and told that I need to replace compressor, about $500 job. I decided to get a second opinion. I found repair shop in Shelbyville, DE. Mechanic checked the car out and told that I need Ed $11 valve and recharge. Fixed the car while I wait. very honest.Another "5tar" repair shop in west oc said " it is not fixable" when brakes went out on 1994 ford rager.offered to get rid of it to junk yard fora 200 dollar fee. we towed it to bayside auto and they said brake lines need replacing, flushing.and front breaks.very reasonable.Had been without trouble for 2years now. We got a nail in the tire on the way to the beach. It was 5:00 on a Friday so most places were closing or closed. We called Bayside and they immediately responded and said that they can plug/patch our tire. We drove over and they immediately took the car and in less than 20 minutes they were able to plug the tire for $15. Great service, very nice guys and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. Stopped by to see if I could schedule a time they could replace a headlamp I had purchased. Turns out Autozone gave me the wrong bulb. The gentleman at the front desk said he had one and would change ...he didn't want me to have to drive without the light. Great customer service.
