Campus was beautiful as it mixes in the nostalgia of the 1800s with some new touches of the millennium. Definitely felt the sports town vibe here and the pride it has for its sports. In the end, my boy decided to stay closer to home but the experience at Gonzaga and the Spokane area left quite an impression on us.

I went to college here 38 years ago. Obviously, I learned something, as I just calculated those…read moreyears without the aid of a calculator. Back then, this college did a great job of offering enough classes to fulfill the general university requirements, so I could move on down the road to a public university. I particularly recall beginning and advanced volleyball, tennis, and bowling. Oh, and that psychology class also sticks in my head. On my most recent trip to SCC, I went to find my mom (it was Mother's Day weekend), and she was peddling her wares, lilacs at the Garden Expo. I also found my dad planted in a chair, helping the garden club. I had a chance to go down memory lane in the Lair, as I really wanted to find the bowling alley, but things have changed or rather there was too much garden expo in my way or my memory is really slipping. I don't know what classes SCC offers now, but I'd be willing to guess that it is still a great value, and if I had it all to do over again, I'd still come here first and get those required classes out of the way. My economics classes also paid off.

I graduated with an A in almost all quarters and i was there everyday, but still i am lost when it comes to fixing cars. If u asked the students attending this college they will say the same. Patrettee, spotts , and coffey I caught messing with grades. This school is unprofessional and lacks real mechanics skills u need to be successful in the automotive industry. I have proof of what i am saying, i just dont know how to post it. Rustameyer, and rodgers are good teachers and they are fair. Wendy at workforce or workfirst (whatever the name is) is also a horrible person and doesnt help students that are really struggling and instead lies about having school funding saying they're isn't any help as you watch people around u that already have lots of money recieve more. This is a horrible college and they dont do nothing if u report this stuff. I reported all this to the automotive tech dean levingston and he just basically said that take it up with the same teachers causing the problems. An said they have a contract with them that states we students have to work our problems out with the teachers. So my question is then whats the point of the dean? Then come to find out the dean is buddy- buddy with the same teachers who are being unprofessional. So the dean is covering for the trash teachers. I hope one day someone with power sees this and does something about all this cricked school. I would avoid this college at all cost it is unprofessional and the teachers are trash at teaching.

Overall a good school. I graduated in 2014 and Transferred to EWU. I never had a problem with any…read moreof my instructors, however at the time I went the math department was so-so and I took all my math at SCC. A&P here is good, but I have been told that Microbiology is much better to take at SCC instead of SFCC. I wasn't a big fan of the advisors when I was going here because they wanted me to take classes I didn't really need. I also had to take another Math Class to fulfill a math/science credit despite taking Statistics and Intro Bio, and A&P 1 and 2. If you know what program you are going into, talk with the department head of that program to find out the right classes and credits that you need. Make sure you finish your AA here before transferring to EWU. My friend was 2 classes short of her AA before she transferred and EWU made her retake 2 classes before she could graduate because they would not accept the classes from SFCC as substitutions at EWU unless there was an AA.
