I forgot my school lunch! On spicy chicken sandwich Wednesday! This was the worst thing that could have happened on an already stressful day... Later in the last ticking seconds of third period I stressfully waited for my doom. Ring Ring the bell went off and all the students rushed through the door. I walked with a terrible feeling in my gut. I stepped into the long winding line and slowly moved towards the spicy chicken sandwich abomination. I stepped forward and looked at the lunch lady in the eye and then looked at the sandwich carefully wrapped in red foil. I slowly reach towards it trying to delay my suffering and then I grasped the warm sandwich. I hurriedly scurry to my usual lunch spot with my friends. I run my my fingers across the foil and find a crease. I then slowly start unwrapping the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I stared at it for a long while, took a breath, opened my mouth and took a big bite. I spit it out in disgust. The chicken tasted like freaking cardboard. Even if I tried to make it terrible is still wouldn't come close to the disgusting taste of this dreaded chicken sandwich. Food 1/10. School 10/10

The campus is constantly adding improvements and new buildings that make it a great hybrid of classic buildings vs. the school of tomorrow. I was originally admitted to the University of Washington BASW program, but because the program is…read morehybrid and my employer could not accommodate the required in-person classes, I began looking for a fully online BASW. That led me to Eastern Washington University. While the Online BASW program itself is appealing, my admissions experience was unfortunately one of the most difficult I have encountered. After being admitted to EWU, I applied to the BASW program. From that point on, it often felt like the different departments were not communicating with one another. I was told multiple times that my official transcripts had not been received, even though another department had already confirmed they had been received. I found myself repeatedly providing screenshots of emails and confirming information that had already been given to me by EWU staff. The process felt disorganized, and I often had the impression that one department did not know what another department was doing. As a prospective transfer student trying to make an important educational decision, it was frustrating to spend so much time following up on information that should have already been available internally. There were positive experiences along the way. Al A. was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Denise A. was also courteous and assisted me with the admissions process. I appreciate the time they took to answer my questions. Unfortunately, those positive interactions were overshadowed by the overall lack of coordination. I never felt confident that my application was moving forward, and because my transcript evaluation continued to be delayed, I ultimately had to withdraw my application to avoid losing my place at another university. I believe EWU has a strong Online BASW program with great potential, but the admissions process would benefit greatly from better communication between departments, more consistent information, and a stronger focus on supporting prospective students. I hope my feedback helps improve the experience for future applicants.

If you are looking for a party campus you are not going to find alot here. That being said if you want to go to some parties you can seek them out if you want to. Though the school does have Christian values and I would say is a Christian school it does not try and force it on its students which I appreciate. If you want to seek the Christian religion you can if you don't most people will respect you and treat you the same. No chapel Is required, but there are various Christian events throughout the week. You do have to take one Bible class here if you want to graduate. The teaching is excellent though sometimes you get a bad professor or one that you just don't click with. But I feel like it is that way with most schools. The professors try to make themselves available to you. And genuinely want to help you. They are professors first and not just researchers which means they will actually teach. Never in my classes have I had a TA teach the whole class.Whitworth also has this thing called Jan term where you take 1 class over the month of January. This is a great way to get Gen Eds out of the way. Student life is good. Most RAs are not out to get you in trouble and actually want to have a relationship with you. The University adheres to the Big 3 (which are the main rules) no alcohol or drugs, no cohabitation, and no disturbing the peace. If you follow these rules you should be ok. And if you want to do theese things just do them off campus. The nicer resident halls are Oliver, Duvall, and Boppell. The other ones are older, but still have great communities. Really it is you who can make or break your experience. Finally the campus is most beautiful in early fall and late spring. (When school starts and when school ends) you will see people out and about in the loop, throwing a frisbee. In the winter it gets incredibly cold and snowy. If you don't like snow don' t go here. But the campus does turn into a nice winter wonderland from November to January. Overall this place has great academics and you get out what you put in. Also they tend to give great financial aid packages.

Back then, this college did a great job of offering enough classes to fulfill the general university requirements, so I could move on down the road to a public university. I particularly recall beginning and advanced volleyball, tennis, and bowling. Oh, and that psychology class also sticks in my head. On my most recent trip to SCC, I went to find my mom (it was Mother's Day weekend), and she was peddling her wares, lilacs at the Garden Expo. I also found my dad planted in a chair, helping the garden club. I had a chance to go down memory lane in the Lair, as I really wanted to find the bowling alley, but things have changed or rather there was too much garden expo in my way or my memory is really slipping. I don't know what classes SCC offers now, but I'd be willing to guess that it is still a great value, and if I had it all to do over again, I'd still come here first and get those required classes out of the way. My economics classes also paid off.

Wendy at workforce or workfirst (whatever the name is) is also a horrible person and doesnt help students that are really struggling and instead lies about having school funding saying they're isn't any help as you watch people around u that already have lots of money recieve more. This is a horrible college and they dont do nothing if u report this stuff. I reported all this to the automotive tech dean levingston and he just basically said that take it up with the same teachers causing the problems. An said they have a contract with them that states we students have to work our problems out with the teachers. So my question is then whats the point of the dean? Then come to find out the dean is buddy- buddy with the same teachers who are being unprofessional. So the dean is covering for the trash teachers. I hope one day someone with power sees this and does something about all this cricked school. I would avoid this college at all cost it is unprofessional and the teachers are trash at teaching.
