I went to college here 38 years ago. Obviously, I learned something, as I just calculated those…read moreyears without the aid of a calculator. Back then, this college did a great job of offering enough classes to fulfill the general university requirements, so I could move on down the road to a public university. I particularly recall beginning and advanced volleyball, tennis, and bowling. Oh, and that psychology class also sticks in my head. On my most recent trip to SCC, I went to find my mom (it was Mother's Day weekend), and she was peddling her wares, lilacs at the Garden Expo. I also found my dad planted in a chair, helping the garden club. I had a chance to go down memory lane in the Lair, as I really wanted to find the bowling alley, but things have changed or rather there was too much garden expo in my way or my memory is really slipping. I don't know what classes SCC offers now, but I'd be willing to guess that it is still a great value, and if I had it all to do over again, I'd still come here first and get those required classes out of the way. My economics classes also paid off.

I have personally experienced teachers manipulating grades an accusation of stealing. I have…read moretattoos so i am being judged at S.C.C. Also the teachers here are not good at all. I graduated with an A in almost all quarters and i was there everyday, but still i am lost when it comes to fixing cars. If u asked the students attending this college they will say the same. Patrettee, spotts , and coffey I caught messing with grades. This school is unprofessional and lacks real mechanics skills u need to be successful in the automotive industry. I have proof of what i am saying, i just dont know how to post it. Rustameyer, and rodgers are good teachers and they are fair. Wendy at workforce or workfirst (whatever the name is) is also a horrible person and doesnt help students that are really struggling and instead lies about having school funding saying they're isn't any help as you watch people around u that already have lots of money recieve more. This is a horrible college and they dont do nothing if u report this stuff. I reported all this to the automotive tech dean levingston and he just basically said that take it up with the same teachers causing the problems. An said they have a contract with them that states we students have to work our problems out with the teachers. So my question is then whats the point of the dean? Then come to find out the dean is buddy- buddy with the same teachers who are being unprofessional. So the dean is covering for the trash teachers. I hope one day someone with power sees this and does something about all this cricked school. I would avoid this college at all cost it is unprofessional and the teachers are trash at teaching.

After a month of attendance, we realized that they weren't feeding our son the bottles we provided. They were literally starving him after accepting the bottles we handed to the staff at every drop off, only a month later telling us that they can't make bottles from scratch, even though at start, we were told an exception would be made for my son as he wasn't on solid foods yet. They ignored my sons basic needs, pure negligence and poor judgment!

I was originally admitted to the University of Washington BASW program, but because the program is…read morehybrid and my employer could not accommodate the required in-person classes, I began looking for a fully online BASW. That led me to Eastern Washington University. While the Online BASW program itself is appealing, my admissions experience was unfortunately one of the most difficult I have encountered. After being admitted to EWU, I applied to the BASW program. From that point on, it often felt like the different departments were not communicating with one another. I was told multiple times that my official transcripts had not been received, even though another department had already confirmed they had been received. I found myself repeatedly providing screenshots of emails and confirming information that had already been given to me by EWU staff. The process felt disorganized, and I often had the impression that one department did not know what another department was doing. As a prospective transfer student trying to make an important educational decision, it was frustrating to spend so much time following up on information that should have already been available internally. There were positive experiences along the way. Al A. was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely helpful. Denise A. was also courteous and assisted me with the admissions process. I appreciate the time they took to answer my questions. Unfortunately, those positive interactions were overshadowed by the overall lack of coordination. I never felt confident that my application was moving forward, and because my transcript evaluation continued to be delayed, I ultimately had to withdraw my application to avoid losing my place at another university. I believe EWU has a strong Online BASW program with great potential, but the admissions process would benefit greatly from better communication between departments, more consistent information, and a stronger focus on supporting prospective students. I hope my feedback helps improve the experience for future applicants.
