I told the salesman Mo, multiple times that I wanted it repaired and he said that I got you. No, he didn't have me!!! He told the supervisor that I was ok with a messed up dashboard. The general manager and accounting manager said that I can buy something to fix it. Why? The service light came on a few weeks of having the car. I went back not the dealership multiple times and nothing happened. After 30 day, I was told to file a claim with the warranty company. Why? The manager Keith was in a car accident and he said that's why nothing was done. The general manager did nothing as well. Wow!!! That's how Easterns on Reisterstown Rd handles their customers. So I purchased a 2022 Ford escape from the Eastern motors located on St Barnabas road in Maryland and they overcharged us for the vehicle for one for two they had a sign two contracts we came in and we had already pre-approval from Capital One and they ran our credit through like 10 different other particulars just stealing the credits from our autograph and ssn that it took to create the contract for what should have been a truth in lending process I mean they had us to put a deposit down which is absolutely ridiculous because it doesn't even go to the purchase and we did not understand the fact that they were opening a trust in our name that they were collecting the credits and monies on and this situation needs to be rectified it is awful how you will go into an establishment and all of the facts are not given to you nor is the money from the contract and they have you signing stating that you received a loan and they never gave you a loan of any sorts and and they have you paying something that you do not even owe it is a very vague contract and absolutely awful how the dishonesty is imposing on our pursuit of happiness and things of that nature read more

I purchased a vehicle almost a year ago. For months I've been wondering what the vibration was when pressing the brakes. When test driving I ask and was told that it was the antilock breaking system which was completely untrue. I learned from my mechanic that it was the rotors. He informed me that the pads were not worn down and could not cause the lines/grooves in the rotors. The mechanic also informed me that the pads were changed but the rotors were not which should have been due to markings from prior worn pads. The corporate office has given me the run around for hours I've been given the wrong number, transfer to the wrong person and hung up on. This started with Lawrence at Temple Hills location that gave me the wrong number and was extremely rude. He definitely doesn't belong in sales or customer service. Once getting another number from Douglas I reached Maria who was completely incompetent. She hung up when I asked for her supervisor. The fact that they would sale a vehicle with anything wrong with breaking is unsafe. This is my first and last time purchasing from Eastern Motors and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone that treasures their life and doesn't want to be set up. I should have known from the very beginning when the person ran my credit 22 which is still on my credit report until 2024. He had to have another employee tell him that there was a block on my account that I put on several months prior to prevent anything from hinder me from getting approved. However, if I ask to see your selection do not try and force a car on me that 1) is not my taste, 2) you lied about the price (how the heck is a 2016 car worth $30k in 2020 under the value of depreciation) 3) has a check engine light on 4) has cobwebs in the back seat--CLEAR INDICATION that you all are pressed to get rid of this vehicle. I would put zero stars if I could. Eastern Automative contacted me about a car I had listed for sale on Autotrader. I had extensive back and forth with the rep about my car and situation. I was very clear that I had received quite a few far too low dealer offers, that I had done my research, and that I knew what the car was worth in the pristine condition it was. The rep assured me that they would not waste my time. We agreed on ballpark number with the caveat that they would need to inspect my car at one of their locations to ensure everything was as I described. I agreed, called ahead to make sure everyone was on the same page, and took my car to Temple Hills as instructed. Once there, I showed them the message string with their rep and again tried to ensure that everyone was on the same page. They made me wait for over an hour and then tried to con me into the lowest dealer offer that I had received to date, which wasn't even in the same universe as what the rep and I had been discussing. No one took full responsibility for this completely unacceptable situation that I done everything in my power to avoid. It was blatant manipulation and trying to take advantage of a woman they thought they thought they could rip off and outsmart. I left and went to another MD dealer I had been in contact with, who without hesitation upon inspection, gave me the no-hassle, fair price for the vehicle I had been asking for. Eastern Automative Group is dishonest, disreputable, and even had the audacity to call me recently to ask if I was still interested in purchasing a vehicle. You can imagine how well that call went. My husband and I came here 2 months ago to purchase a luxury car. The salesman Malik was great at first. They couldn't offer me the Mercedes that I wanted so they offered me a 2013 BMW 528!. It was at the Laurel location so they had to drive it to the St. Barnabas location. Once it arrived, there was so much traffic on St. Barnanbas Rd so the test drive was stop and go (based on the route that Malik had me take). He also stated that the quicker the test drive, the quicker we could get back and get the paperwork completed. So we headed back and we purchased the car. Well the next day, the "drivetrain" alert kept coming on. I called back to Malik and was told that the car was sold "as is" and I had to call my warranty company (which I purchased through Eastern Motors for $1595). After taking the car to the deal about 6 times within 2 months, the car needs a whole new turbo charger, suspension thrust rod bushings, software update, a new ZGM (because the software update wouldn't complete without replacing it), and the engine light is still on. The warranty company only paid for the turbocharger and not the labor. I will never buy a car from here again. read more

I had a good experience because I came in with my own financing. My car was shipped in from another location. It was supposed to be cleaned but there were severe spots in the car. Also, there was no gas in the car. Eastern's rectified this by sending me a gas card which may have been coincidental because I also completed a survey where a gas card was offered. I will have to pay to have it professionally cleaned. This was a drawback. Advice: check the car facts and make sure your car is clean and fueled. read more

Truly a scam. JT and James Smith of Temple Hills sold me a car with crash damage prior. They did not tell me there was prior damage. They had me sign a warranty without my knowledge and the current GM, Rick Hosn, will not cancel my warranty. The contract clearly reads, "EXCEPT IN MARYLAND, THIS AGREEMENT IS NON-CANCELABLE AFTER THIRTY(30) DAYS. IN MARYLAND, THIS AGREEMENT MAY BE CANCELLED AFTER THIRTY(30) DAYS IN WHICH CASE A PRO-RATA REFUND BASED ON THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF THE AGREEMENT LESS CLAIMS PAID LESS A CANCELLATION FEE IN THE AMOUNT OF THIRTY-FIVE($35.00) DOLLARS WILL BE ISSUED. So, I should not have to pay for a lawyer, when your contract states you can cancel that for me. I myself am a used/new car salesman and I am 100 percent transparent when it comes to the contract and extended warranty such as this. I did not sign up for this, no one explained it to me, and now they do not want to remove it? This issue has been ongoing with Easterns for 6 months now. read more

Following a recent surgery and in anticipation of a long rehabilitation, I opted to buy a minivan to transport a wheelchair and a walker etc. The vehicle I wanted was at Eastern Motors , Temple Hills Maryland. My concern was the car seller's well documented history of atrocious customer service. Before arriving at the store, I failed to do a Carfax. I stayed in my car as my wife went inside and met with Mr. James Smith, who she later described as being exceedingly courteous and professional sales person. After she was given a copy of a Carfax, we realized the vehicle we were intending to purchase had previously been a rental vehicle which was unacceptable to both of us. My only complaint is Eastern Motors has a policy of not negotiating the sales price which I find objectionable . With a minimal amount of additional research, I was able to purchase a newer, cheaper, lower mileage , up graded trim level vehicle from another store. Personally, I would never buy a vehicle from a store which is unwilling to negotiate the sales price. read more

Purchased Jeep Cherokee and on the Way home the check engine light and check transmission light came on and it wouldn't move any longer and shut down on us on the way home. I got it going again and took it back to the dealership in the morning because they were closed. We walked away with a Different Jeep, higher payments because we had no other choice. Bad taste in my mouth. I even offered to come up $500 cash to meet half way. They crammed a more expensive deal down our throats because we had no choice but to purchase a vehicle through them. My experience with this place was terrible!! I wanted to get an SUV for my stepdad. He was going to pay cash but needed me to find something nice to replace his older Vehicle. I did my research and found that the dealer had several different options and at different locations. I called the phone number online and spoke with the person who looked up the vehicle in question and the gentleman stated he could get the vehicle moved to a closer location since I was about 10 mins from Temple Hills. I asked how long would it take and he said about an hour. I said that would be great and setup an appointment with the dealership to meet up 2 hours later so that everything would go smoothly with no real waiting time standing around. I held my end of the deal and took my stepdad there 1 hour 45 min to start things going. When we walked in there were a few managers at the elevated level sitting and the salesman on the floor who approached us asking if he could help. He was nice but when I informed him that we setup an appointment to see the SUV he had no clue. He tried to find the inquiry in their system but couldn't. I asked was there an SUV delivered from another location in the last 2 hours and he said no. He met with a manager and then said they didn't have anything in their system with our names or the Veh that should have been there prior to our arrival. I should have walked out at that time but I didn't. I explained that we scheduled an appointment and they should have had everything together for us. The salesman said he could get it delivered in less than an hour so we waited. I asked if we could walk around to see if they had something else that would fit our needs and the salesman said we do just look around and he'd have the original Veh delivered. We said ok and looked around but the entire inventory was limited. Lots of little cars and about 4 SUV's but they weren't what we were looking for. We waited 1 hour and 20mins for the original SUV to get there; which means they failed 2 times in the same day. We were going to leave but the salesman said the vehicle just arrived. We saw the vehicle which was a 2019 which I did the research on going for 28-34k. This one was 36k but we figured we could work out the price if we liked it.. Wrong answer!! The salesman said the price is the price cash or not. They also said the vehicle had additional fees for freight and other miscellaneous expenses which brought the price to over 40k!! I said this had to be a joke! The manager told my stepdad that the prices are the prices and they don't negotiate anything, cash isn't what it used to be and if we didn't like the price and we saw it somewhere else better he would leave and buy that vehicle. I was floored by his response, this was a used 2019 and the new ones go for 46k so I figured they would definitely work out the price. To sum it up, don't waste your time especially if you value your time. That dealership has several vehicle adds online that don't state which dealership they are located until you get a call from their call center, so if you see something you want and it's not in your area don't setup an appointment for it to be moved closer because it won't be. If you think the price is high but could try to negotiate.. Don't because that price will not be the price, it will be 4K plus higher with the added fees. We did go to another dealership in Waldorf to get the SUV and they were much cheaper than Easterns and we did negotiate the price. We left with a new/used SUV fill up and a detailed. I definitely wouldn't recommend Easterns to anyone and I was told by the dealership in Waldorf that they weren't supposed to charge a freight fee for a used vehicle. Freight fees are for the new cars that are delivered by the manufacturer, there's no freight for a used vehicle that was traded in. Hope this helps someone who's thinking about buying from Easterns.
