The king rooms have a walk in shower and the twin queen bed rooms have a bathtub/shower combo. I mention this as those traveling with kids might prefer the tub option. Every room has a mini fridge. Traveling with little ones here is nice because they can offer a microwave in your room if requested. Made a big difference for us traveling with a young one. The gym is small but they do have a peloton bike among other equipment like free weights and other cardio equipment. Complimentary breakfast has warm savory options like egg burritos both with and without meat. They also offer oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and bagels with plenty of refreshments. Parking is free and easy to find. There's also a complimentary shuttle to take you to places on campus if you have no car. There are also bikes at the hotel to get around. All in all, we enjoyed our stay as did our guests for graduation.

They are pretty common these days so don't think it would be a hard thing to put in. We had to keep buying water bottles from the front desk which felt wasteful. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing of what the hotel offers, and giving me my room key. For your information check-in starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 12:00 AM! And check-out ends at 12:00 PM! I must say that the hallway felt never-ending as I walked down it to locate my room; and the carpet had the softest cushion like feel. After locating and entering the room, I said to myself "Oh my God" once I took notice of the kitchenet area which appeared so elegant! It came with a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, a sink, a built-in electric cooktop, plus cabinets that came with dishware, and pots & pans inside. Now the furniture in the room gave the room a homely like feel which made me anticipate my stay with Homewood Suites. It was those things that totally charmed me out of my panties, tehehe. There were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% inside of the shower attached to the wall. Seems like hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made really great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting the inside of my ear, tehehe. Other things the room came with that I noticed were an iron, ironing board, an extra comforter, and a few lamps with electrical outlets. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Homewood Suites, as expected, appeared immaculately beautiful! Leave it to me to forget my bathing suit, hindering me from swimming in the pool onsite even though I knew about it as I booked the room. It was great having a fitness center onsite because I was in dire need of a workout. And I was impressed to see the number of dumbbell weights, decent looking workout machines, and even a peloton fitness bike within. Served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, it was a relief having the complimentary breakfast because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. This hotel is in prime position. It's very walkable relative to campus, close to the hospital, restaurants are walkable, heck it even is close enough to my now favorite Chinese restaurant in town. It doesn't get too loud at night and getting onto the highway isn't too difficult. Additionally, I like their front lobby and breakfast. It is spacious, lots of room to work and have small meetings and the breakfast is solid, with plenty of options. Everything else is where the problems arise. To hotel itself feels a bit older and the furniture/rooms are a bit antiquated. Just little things like the shower tub not having proper water flow and the working desks being really small are what differentiate this hotel with others I've stayed at. My rooms have been a bit more cramped and uncomfortable. Additionally, I didn't find the pillows to be all that comfortable. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that I found bugs of the bed kind my first visit. At least the staff handled it efficiently for me! Lastly, my favorite hotel amenity, the gym, is simply not as built out as other hotel gyms. There are just three machines in there that again, feel really old, and no weight lifting equipment. For me, there are many reasons why I'd say this Hampton Inn is not my top pick, but depending on your situation, the location may just be worth it!
