If I would have listened to the Reviews I would have not stayed at this location but the convenience to the College made it easy. First walked in during noon on a Friday the Lobby smelled amazing housekeeping cleaning and everything was so clean. My room was not ready until 3pm but we stored luggage and went out to lunch. There is a gym and pool on premises they also have a 24 hour coffee and tea station which is very convenient. Breakfast is included with your stay from 6am to 11am. Breakfast entails waffle station, fresh oatmeal with toppings, bagels, cereal station, English muffins, boiled eggs. The specials differ daily one day good be grits biscuits and mini omelette or red potatoes sausage and bacon. So impressed with the breakfast they also provide apple juice and orange . The room was very clean housekeeping are very detailed in their work at this location. Highly impressed .

stayed here for 2 nights for an event at the University of Illinois. super close to campus and about a 10-15 min walk to the Main Quad. overall, the breakfast was decent (nothing extraordinary) but it did change slightly in the 2 days I stayed there (new waffle flavors, omelettes vs scrambled eggs). nice that they have 24/7 access to coffee and hot water for tea or hot chocolate in the lobby!

Close to University of Illinois campus, we had a nice overnight stay here. The check-in staff gave us a map & answered all our questions-thank you! Pet friendly here. We enjoyed the indoor pool (it was small) but poolside towels were a plus!

They initially gave me a room with no bed (likely the living room area for a suite) and they immediately fixed the problem. Once I got into my room, it was relaxing and wonderful. The king rooms have a walk in shower and the twin queen bed rooms have a bathtub/shower combo. I mention this as those traveling with kids might prefer the tub option. Every room has a mini fridge. Traveling with little ones here is nice because they can offer a microwave in your room if requested. Made a big difference for us traveling with a young one. The gym is small but they do have a peloton bike among other equipment like free weights and other cardio equipment. Complimentary breakfast has warm savory options like egg burritos both with and without meat. They also offer oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and bagels with plenty of refreshments. Parking is free and easy to find. There's also a complimentary shuttle to take you to places on campus if you have no car. There are also bikes at the hotel to get around. All in all, we enjoyed our stay as did our guests for graduation.

The ladies at the front desk were very nice. And this time I got to experience their meeting/conference space as the tornado warning went off the first night we were there. They have free breakfast but we didn't make it to it, except to grab some coffee. One thing this hotel could use is a water fountain with a filter. They are pretty common these days so don't think it would be a hard thing to put in. We had to keep buying water bottles from the front desk which felt wasteful. This hotel is downtown with plenty of things to walk to. The restaurant next door that does the room service for the hotel is great.

This Hyatt Place's best attribute is their location. It is right in the middle of Champaign and is located in a walkable area. The place is relatively clean and everything inside is kept up to date. On my last stay, everything seemed to be not working, which ultimately made my stay more unpleasant. The TV in room was unable to connect to the cable and the shower drain was clogged. Not only that, but things outside of my room seemed to be out of order as well. The cooler in the front lobby wasn't working so all of the drinks weren't chilled upon purchase, and no cookies! A tragedy! Also, the heat in the gym didn't seem to be functioning, which on a night where the temperature was in the negatives, made working out a not-so fun experience. I think I would chalk all of this up to a bad day in the office. I do see myself coming back because I am in town on business quite a bit. However, as someone who tends to fancy other hotel brands, this Hyatt Place will certainly need to have a better day!

Other than that, I loved that it is a Hilton hotel, and the fact that it was lower in cost for Hilton Honors members as I am currently. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing of what the hotel offers, and giving me my room key. For your information check-in starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 12:00 AM! And check-out ends at 12:00 PM! I must say that the hallway felt never-ending as I walked down it to locate my room; and the carpet had the softest cushion like feel. After locating and entering the room, I said to myself "Oh my God" once I took notice of the kitchenet area which appeared so elegant! It came with a full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, a sink, a built-in electric cooktop, plus cabinets that came with dishware, and pots & pans inside. Now the furniture in the room gave the room a homely like feel which made me anticipate my stay with Homewood Suites. It was those things that totally charmed me out of my panties, tehehe. There were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% inside of the shower attached to the wall. Seems like hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made really great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting the inside of my ear, tehehe. Other things the room came with that I noticed were an iron, ironing board, an extra comforter, and a few lamps with electrical outlets. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Homewood Suites, as expected, appeared immaculately beautiful! Leave it to me to forget my bathing suit, hindering me from swimming in the pool onsite even though I knew about it as I booked the room. It was great having a fitness center onsite because I was in dire need of a workout. And I was impressed to see the number of dumbbell weights, decent looking workout machines, and even a peloton fitness bike within. Served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, it was a relief having the complimentary breakfast because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. I would surely book with Homewood Suites by Hilton Champaign-Urbana again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of my interest in Champaign-Urbana. ~ Good vibes coming your way ~ Thomas G

But imagine my surprise when I checked the credit card bill to find we were charged $1215!!!! for those 2 nights. And I'm assuming the room was rented out again for that night!!
